^33:15And he said to him, “If your presence does not go with us, do not carry us up from here. ^33:16For how shall it be known here that I and your people have found grace in your sight? Is it not in that you are going with us? So shall we be separated, I and your people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.”

^33:17And Jehovah said to Moses, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name.”

^33:18And he said, “Please, show me your glory.” ^33:19And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim before you the Name of Jehovah; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

^33:20And he said, “You cannot see my face: for no man shall see me, and live.”

^33:21And Jehovah said, “Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand upon a rock. ^33:22And it shall come to pass, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and cover you with my hand while I pass by. ^33:23And I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back parts, but my face shall not be seen.”

^34:1And Jehovah said to Moses, “Cut two tablets of stone like the first; and I will write upon these tablets the words that were in the first tablets, which you broke.

^34:2And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me in the top of the mountain.

^34:3And no man shall come up with you; neither let any man be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks or herds feed before that mountain.”

Jehovah God: merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth; ^34:7keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, until the third and to the fourth generation!”

^34:8And Moses hurried, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. ^34:9And he said, “If now I have found grace in your sight, O Lord, please, let my Lord go among us (for it is a stiff-necked people), and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

^34:10And he said, “Behold, I make a Covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Jehovah: for it is a dreadful thing that I will do with you.

^34:11Observe that which I command you this day: behold, I am driving out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. ^34:12Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare in your midst; ^34:13but you shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their images of Asherah. ^34:14For you shall worship no other god: for Jehovah, whose Name is Jealous, is a jealous God: ^34:15lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and one calls you, and you eat of his sacrifice; ^34:16and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make your sons go a whoring after their gods. ^34:17You shall make you no molten gods.

^34:18You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt. ^34:19All that opens the womb is mine, and every firstborn among your cattle, whether ox or sheep that is male. ^34:20But the firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you do not redeem him, then shall you break his neck. You shall redeem all the firstborn of your sons; and none shall appear before me empty. ^34:21Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; in plowing time and in harvest shall you rest. ^34:22And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the Firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end. ^34:23Three times in the year all of your men children shall appear before Jehovah Elohim, the God of Israel: ^34:24for I will cast out the Gentiles before you, and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land, when you shall go up to appear before Jehovah your God three times in the year. ^34:25You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover be left until the morning. ^34:26The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring to the House of Jehovah your God. You shall not boil a kid goat in his mother’s milk.”

^34:27And Jehovah said to Moses, “Write these words: for after the tenor of these words have I made a Covenant with you and with Israel.”

^34:28And he was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water; and he wrote upon the tablets the words of the Covenant, the Ten Commandments.

^34:29And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tablets of Testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mountain, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face glowed while he talked with him. ^34:30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face glowed; and they were afraid to come near him. ^34:31And Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses talked with them.

^34:32And afterward all the children of Israel came near; and he gave them in command all that Jehovah had spoken with him in mount Sinai. ^34:33And until Moses finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. ^34:34But when Moses went in before Jehovah to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out. And he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded; ^34:35and the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face glowed. And Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

^35:1And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together; and he said to them, “These are the words which Jehovah has commanded, that you should do them: ^35:2‘Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a Sabbath of rest to Jehovah. Whosoever does work in it shall be put to death. ^35:3You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath day.’”

^35:4And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which Jehovah commanded, saying, ^35:5‘Take from among you an offering to Jehovah. Whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it: an offering of Jehovah: gold, silver, and bronze; ^35:6blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, ^35:7rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins; acacia wood, ^35:8oil for the light, spices for anointing oil and for the sweet incense; ^35:9onyx stones and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate.’

^35:10And every wise-hearted among you shall come, and make all that Jehovah has commanded: ^35:11the Tabernacle: his tent, his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars, his pillars, and his sockets; ^35:12the Ark, and its poles, with the mercy seat, and the veil of the covering; ^35:13the table, and his poles, and all his vessels, and the showbread; ^35:14the candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light; ^35:15and the incense altar, and his poles, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense; and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the Tabernacle; ^35:16the altar of burnt offering, with his bronze grate, his poles, and all his vessels; the laver and his foot; ^35:17the hangings of the court, his pillars, and their sockets; and the hanging for the door of the court, ^35:18the pins of the Tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords; ^35:19the cloths of service, to do service in the holy place; the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.”

^35:20And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. ^35:21And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing; and they brought Jehovah’s offering to the work of the Tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. ^35:22And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces: all jewels of gold; and every man that offered, brought an offering of gold to Jehovah. ^35:23And every man, with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair, red skins of rams, and badgers’ skins, brought them. ^35:24Every one that offered an offering of silver and bronze brought Jehovah’s offering; and every man, with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it. ^35:25And all the women that were wise hearted spun with their hands; and they brought that which they had spun, both of blue, of purple, of scarlet, and of fine linen. ^35:26And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats’ hair. ^35:27And the rulers brought onyx stones and stones to be set (for the ephod, and for the breastplate), ^35:28and spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense. ^35:29The children of Israel brought a freewill offering to Jehovah, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which Jehovah had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

^35:30And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, Jehovah has called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. ^35:31And he has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; ^35:32and to devise curious works: to work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, ^35:33and in the cutting of stones, to set them; and in carving of wood, to make any manner of artistic work. ^35:34And he has put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. ^35:35Them has he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the inscriber, and of the artistic workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise artistic work.”

^36:1Then worked Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom Jehovah put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the Sanctuary, according to all that Jehovah had commanded. ^36:2And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart Jehovah had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come to the work to do it. ^36:3And they received of Moses all the offering to make it with, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the Sanctuary. And they continued to bring freewill offerings to him every morning. ^36:4And all the wise men, that performed all the work of the Sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; ^36:5and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough materials for the service of the work, which Jehovah commanded to make.” ^36:6And Moses gave a command; and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the Sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing: ^36:7for the materials they had were sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

¶Complement   The people made the Tabernacle with the raw materials (36:8 - 38:20)

^36:8And every wisehearted man among them that performed the work of the Tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet; he made them with cherubim of artistic work. ^36:9The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all the same size. ^36:10And he coupled the first five curtains one to another, and the other five curtains he coupled one to another. ^36:11And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of another curtain, in the coupling of the second. ^36:12He made fifty loops in one curtain, and he made fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another. ^36:13And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one to another with the taches, so it became one Tabernacle. ^36:14And he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the Tabernacle; he made them eleven curtains. ^36:15The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain; the eleven curtains were of the same size. ^36:16And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves. ^36:17And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling, and he made fifty loops upon the edge of the curtain which couples the second. ^36:18And he made fifty taches of bronze to couple the tent together, that it might be one. ^36:19And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers’ skins above that. ^36:20And he made boards for the Tabernacle of acacia wood, standing up. ^36:21The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one and a half cubits. ^36:22One board had two tenons, equidistant one from another; thus did he make for all the boards of the Tabernacle. ^36:23And he made boards for the Tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward; ^36:24and he made forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards: two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons. ^36:25And for the other side of the Tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards, ^36:26and their forty sockets of silver: two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. ^36:27And for the sides of the Tabernacle westward he made six boards. ^36:28And he made two boards for the corners of the Tabernacle in the two sides. ^36:29And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at their head, to one ring; thus he did to both of them in both the corners. ^36:30And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, two sockets under every board. ^36:31And he made bars of acacia wood: five for the boards of one side of the Tabernacle, ^36:32and five bars for the boards of the other side of the Tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the Tabernacle for the sides westward. ^36:33And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from one end to the other. ^36:34And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold to be places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold. ^36:35And he made a veil of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen; he made it with cherubim of artistic work. ^36:36And he made for it four pillars of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold (their hooks were of gold), and he cast four sockets of silver for them. ^36:37And he made a hanging for the Tabernacle door of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework; ^36:38and its five pillars with their hooks. And he overlaid their capitals and their fillets with gold; but their five sockets were of bronze.

^37:1And Bezaleel made the Ark of acacia wood: two and a half cubits was its length, and one and a half cubits its breadth, and one and a half cubits its height. ^37:2And he overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a crown of gold to it round about. ^37:3And he cast four rings of gold for it, to be set by its four corners: even two rings upon one side of it, and two rings upon its other side. ^37:4And he made poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold. ^37:5And he put the poles into the rings by the sides of the Ark, to carry the Ark. ^37:6And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two and a half cubits was its length, and one and a half cubits its breadth. ^37:7And he made two cherubim of gold. He made them beaten out of one piece, on the two ends of the mercy seat: ^37:8one cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side. He made the cherubim out of the mercy seat itself on its two ends. ^37:9And the cherubim spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one toward another; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

^37:10And he made the table of acacia wood: two cubits was its length, and one cubit its breadth, and one and a half cubits its height. ^37:11And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made on it a crown of gold round about. ^37:12Also he made on it a border of a handbreadth round about, and made a crown of gold for its border round about. ^37:13And he cast four rings of gold for it, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet of it. ^37:14Over against the border were the rings, the places for the poles to carry the table. ^37:15And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table. ^37:16And he made the vessels which were upon the table (his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover with) of pure gold. ^37:17And he made the candlestick of pure gold. He made the candlestick of beaten work: his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same; ^37:18and six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the candlestick out of one side of it, and three branches of the candlestick out of its other side; ^37:19three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower, and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick. ^37:20And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds (his knops, and his flowers), ^37:21and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it. ^37:22Their knops and their branches were of the same piece; all of it was one beaten work of pure gold. ^37:23And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuff dishes, of pure gold: ^37:24he made it of a talent of pure gold, and all its vessels. ^37:25And he made the incense altar of acacia wood; its length was one cubit, and its breadth one cubit: it was foursquare; and two cubits was its height; its horns were of the same. ^37:26And he overlaid it with pure gold, both its top, and its sides round about, and its horns. Also he made a crown of gold to it round about. ^37:27And he made two rings of gold for it under its crown, by its two corners, upon its two sides, to be places for the poles to carry it with. ^37:28And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold. ^37:29And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the perfumer.

^38:1And he made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood: five cubits was its length, and five cubits its breadth (it was four-square), and three cubits its height. ^38:2And he made its horns on its four corners: its horns were the same size; and he overlaid it with bronze. ^38:3And he made all the vessels of the altar (the pots, the shovels, the basins, the fleshhooks, and the firepans); he made all its vessels of bronze. ^38:4And he made for the altar a bronze grate of network under its border beneath to its midst. ^38:5And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of bronze, to be places for the poles. ^38:6And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with bronze. ^38:7And he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, to carry it with; he made the altar hollow with boards. ^38:8And he made the laver of bronze, and its foot of bronze, of the mirrors of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation.

^38:9And he made the outer court: on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, one hundred cubits: ^38:10their pillars were twenty, and their bronze sockets twenty: the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. ^38:11And for the north side the hangings were one hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of bronze twenty: the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. ^38:12And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten: the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. ^38:13And for the east side eastward fifty cubits. ^38:14The hangings of one side of the gate were fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. ^38:15And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. ^38:16All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen. ^38:17And the sockets for the pillars were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver, and the overlaying of their capitals were of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver. ^38:18And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen; and twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court. ^38:19And their pillars were four, and their sockets of bronze were four; their hooks were of silver, and the overlaying of their capitals and their fillets were of silver. ^38:20And all the pins of the Tabernacle, and of the court round about, were of bronze.

¶Unique   Bezaleel and Aholiab made the garments and regalia of the High Priest (38:21 - 39:31)

^38:21This is the inventory of the Tabernacle, even of the Tabernacle of Testimony, as it was counted, according to the command of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest. ^38:22And Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that Jehovah commanded Moses. ^38:23And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an inscriber, and an artistic workman, and an embroiderer in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and fine linen.

^38:24All the gold that was used for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the Sanctuary. ^38:25And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was a hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, after the shekel of the Sanctuary: ^38:26a bekah for each man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the Sanctuary, for each one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty men. ^38:27And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the Sanctuary, and the sockets of the veil: a hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket. ^38:28And of the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their capitals, and filleted them. ^38:29And the bronze of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels. ^38:30And with it he made the sockets to the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation, and the bronze altar, and the bronze grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar, and the sockets of the court round about, ^38:31and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the Tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about. ^39:1And of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place; and they made the holy garments for Aaron, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^39:2And he made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen. ^39:3And they beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with artistic work. ^39:4They made shoulder pieces for it, to couple it together; by the two edges was it coupled together. ^39:5And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work of it: of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^39:6And they wrought onyx stones enclosed in settings of gold, inscribed, as seal-rings are inscribed, with the names of the children of Israel. ^39:7And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, stones for a memorial to the children of Israel, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^39:8And he made the breastplate of artistic work, like the work of the ephod: of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen. ^39:9It was foursquare. They made the breastplate double: a span was its length, and a span its breadth, being doubled. ^39:10And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle; this was the first row. ^39:11And the second row: an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. ^39:12And the third row: a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst. ^39:13And the fourth row: a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their inclosings. ^39:14And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the inscriptions of a seal-ring, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes. ^39:15And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold. ^39:16And they made two settings of gold, and two gold rings; and they put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate. ^39:17And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate. ^39:18And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, before it. ^39:19And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon its border, which was on the side of the ephod inward. ^39:20And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward its forepart, over against its other coupling, above the curious girdle of the ephod. ^39:21And they bound the breastplate by his rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^39:22And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue. ^39:23And there was a hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of a habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it would not tear. ^39:24And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, purple, scarlet, and twined linen. ^39:25And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates: ^39:26a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^39:27And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons, ^39:28and a miter of fine linen, and beautiful caps of fine linen, and linen underpants of fine twined linen, ^39:29and a belt of fine twined linen, blue, purple, and scarlet, of needlework, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^39:30And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like the inscriptions of a seal-ring: “HOLINESS TO JEHOVAH”. ^39:31And they tied a lace of blue to it, to fasten it on high upon the miter, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^39:33And they brought the Tabernacle to Moses: the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets; ^39:34and the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers’ skins, and the veil of the covering; ^39:35the Ark of the Testimony, and its poles, and the mercy seat; ^39:36the table, and all its vessels, and the showbread; ^39:37the pure candlestick, with its lamps, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all its vessels; and the oil for light, ^39:38and the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense; and the hanging for the Tabernacle door; ^39:39the bronze altar, and his grate of bronze, his poles, and all his vessels; the laver and his foot; ^39:40the hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets; and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins; and all the vessels of the service of the Tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation, ^39:41the cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister in the priest’s office.

^39:42According to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.

^39:43And Moses looked upon all the work; and, behold, they had done it as Jehovah had commanded; even so, they had done it; and Moses blessed them.

^40:1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^40:2“On the first day of the first month you shall set up the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation. ^40:3And you shall put in it the Ark of the Testimony, and cover the Ark with the veil. ^40:4And you shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and you shall bring in the candlestick, and light its lamps. ^40:5And you shall set the altar of gold for the incense before the Ark of the Testimony; and put the hanging of the door to the Tabernacle. ^40:6And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation. ^40:7And you shall set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water in it. ^40:8And you shall set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate. ^40:9And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the Tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall hallow it, and all its vessels; and it shall be holy. ^40:10And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar; and it shall be an altar most holy. ^40:11And you shall anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it. ^40:12And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water. ^40:13And you shall put the holy garments upon Aaron, and anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office. ^40:14And you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats. ^40:15And you shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.” ^40:16Thus did Moses: according to all that Jehovah commanded him, so did he.

^40:17And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the Tabernacle was set up. ^40:18And Moses set up the Tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and set up his pillars. ^40:19And he spread abroad the tent over the Tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^40:20And he took and put the Testimony into the Ark, and set the poles on the Ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the Ark; ^40:21and he brought the Ark into the Tabernacle, and set up the veil of the covering, and covered the Ark of the Testimony, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^40:22And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the Tabernacle northward, outside the veil. ^40:23And he set the bread in order upon it before Jehovah: as Jehovah had commanded Moses. ^40:24And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the Tabernacle southward. ^40:25And he lit the lamps before Jehovah, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^40:26And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the veil, ^40:27and he burned sweet incense on it, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^40:28And he set up the hanging at the door of the Tabernacle. ^40:29And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the Tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^40:30And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash with. ^40:31And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet in it. ^40:32When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^40:33And he set up the court round around the Tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.

^40:34Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of Jehovah filled the Tabernacle.

^40:35And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud remained on it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the Tabernacle.

^40:36And when the cloud was taken up from over the Tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys; ^40:37but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey until the day that it was taken up: ^40:38for the cloud of Jehovah was upon the Tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

^36:1Bezaleel, Aholiab y todo hombre sabio de corazón a quien Jehová dio sabiduría e inteligencia para saber hacer toda la obra del servicio del Santuario, harán todas las cosas que ha mandado Jehová. ^36:2Y Moisés llamó a Bezaleel y a Aholiab, y a todo varón sabio de corazón, en cuyo corazón había dado Jehová sabiduría, y a todo hombre a quien su corazón le movió a venir a la obra para trabajar en ella. ^36:3Y recibieron de Moisés toda la ofrenda que los hijos de Israel habían traído para la obra del servicio del Santuario, a fin de hacerla. ^36:8Y todos los sabios de corazón entre los que hacían la obra, hicieron el Tabernáculo de diez cortinas, de lino torcido, y de azul, y de púrpura y carmesí; las cuales hicieron de obra de arte, con querubines. ^36:9La longitud de una cortina era de veintiocho codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos: todas las cortinas tenían una misma medida. ^36:10Y juntó las cinco cortinas la una con la otra: asimismo unió las otras cinco cortinas la una con la otra. ^36:11E hizo las lazadas de azul en la orilla de una cortina, en el borde, a la juntura; y así hizo en la orilla al borde de la segunda cortina, en la juntura. ^36:12Cincuenta lazadas hizo en una cortina, y otras cincuenta en la segunda cortina, en el borde, en la juntura; las lazadas sostenían a una cortina con la otra. ^36:13Hizo también cincuenta corchetes de oro, con los cuales juntó las cortinas, la una con la otra; y se hizo un Tabernáculo. ^36:14Hizo asimismo cortinas de pelo de cabras para la tienda sobre el Tabernáculo, y las hizo en número de once. ^36:15La longitud de una cortina era de treinta codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos: las once cortinas tenían una misma medida. ^36:16Y juntó las cinco cortinas de por sí, y las seis cortinas aparte. ^36:17Hizo además cincuenta lazadas en la orilla de la cortina postrera en la juntura, y otras cincuenta lazadas en la orilla de la otra cortina en la juntura. ^36:18Hizo también cincuenta corchetes de bronce para juntar la tienda, de modo que fuese una. ^36:19E hizo una cubierta para la tienda de pieles de carneros teñidas de rojo, y encima una cubierta de pieles de tejones. ^36:20Además hizo las tablas para el Tabernáculo de madera de acacia, para estar derechas. ^36:21La longitud de cada tabla de diez codos, y de codo y medio la anchura. ^36:22Cada tabla tenía dos espigas para unirlas una con otra; así hizo todas las tablas del Tabernáculo. ^36:23Hizo, pues, las tablas para el Tabernáculo; veinte tablas al lado del mediodía, al sur. ^36:24Hizo también las cuarenta bases de plata debajo de las veinte tablas; dos bases debajo de una tabla para sus dos espigas, y dos bases debajo de la otra tabla para sus dos espigas. ^36:25Y para el otro lado del Tabernáculo, al lado norte, hizo veinte tablas, ^36:26con sus cuarenta bases de plata: dos bases debajo de una tabla, y dos bases debajo de la otra tabla. ^36:27Y para el lado occidental del Tabernáculo hizo seis tablas. ^36:28Para las esquinas del Tabernáculo en los dos lados hizo dos tablas, ^36:29las cuales se juntaban por abajo, y asimismo por arriba a un gozne; y así hizo a la una y a la otra en las dos esquinas. ^36:30Eran, pues, ocho tablas, y sus bases de plata dieciséis; dos bases debajo de cada tabla. ^36:31Hizo también las vigas de madera de acacia; cinco para las tablas de un lado del Tabernáculo, ^36:32y cinco vigas para las tablas del otro lado del Tabernáculo, y cinco vigas para las tablas del lado del Tabernáculo a la parte occidental. ^36:33E hizo que la viga del medio pasase por medio de las tablas de un extremo al otro. ^36:34Y cubrió las tablas de oro, e hizo de oro los anillos de ellas por donde pasasen las vigas: cubrió también de oro las vigas. ^36:35Hizo asimismo el velo de azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido, el cual hizo con querubines de obra de arte. ^36:36Y para él hizo cuatro columnas de madera de acacia; y las cubrió de oro, los capiteles de las cuales eran de oro; e hizo para ellas cuatro bases de plata de fundición. ^36:37Hizo también el velo para la puerta del Tabernáculo, de azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido, obra de recamador; ^36:38y sus cinco columnas con sus capiteles: y cubrió las cabezas de ellas y sus molduras de oro, pero sus cinco bases las hizo de bronce.

^37:1Hizo también Bezaleel el Arca de madera de acacia; su longitud era de dos codos y medio, y de codo y medio su anchura, y su altura de otro codo y medio. ^37:2Y la cubrió de oro puro por dentro y por fuera, y le hizo una cornisa de oro en derredor. ^37:3Le hizo además de fundición cuatro anillos de oro a sus cuatro esquinas; en un lado dos anillos y en el otro lado dos anillos. ^37:4Hizo también las varas de madera de acacia, y las cubrió de oro. ^37:5Y metió las varas por los anillos a los lados del Arca, para llevar el Arca. ^37:6Hizo asimismo el propiciatorio de oro puro; su longitud de dos codos y medio, y su anchura de codo y medio. ^37:7Hizo también los dos querubines de oro, los hizo labrados a martillo, a los dos extremos del propiciatorio: ^37:8un querubín a un extremo, y el otro querubín al otro extremo; de una pieza con el propiciatorio; hizo los querubines a sus dos extremos. ^37:9Y los querubines extendían sus alas por encima, cubriendo con sus alas el propiciatorio; y con sus rostros el uno frente al otro, mirando hacia el propiciatorio los rostros de los querubines.

^37:10Hizo también la mesa de madera de acacia; su longitud de dos codos, y su anchura de un codo, y de codo y medio su altura. ^37:11Y la cubrió de oro puro, y le hizo una cornisa de oro en derredor. ^37:12Le hizo también una moldura de un palmo menor de anchura alrededor, e hizo en derredor de la moldura una cornisa de oro. ^37:13Le hizo asimismo de fundición cuatro anillos de oro, y los puso a las cuatro esquinas que correspondían a las cuatro patas de ella. ^37:14Delante de la moldura estaban los anillos, por los cuales se metiesen las varas para llevar la mesa. ^37:15E hizo las varas de madera de acacia para llevar la mesa, y las cubrió de oro. ^37:16También hizo los vasos que habían de estar sobre la mesa, sus platos, y sus cucharas, y sus cubiertos y sus tazones con que se había de libar, de oro fino. ^37:17Hizo asimismo el candelero de oro puro, y lo hizo labrado a martillo; su pie y su caña, sus copas, sus manzanas y sus flores eran de lo mismo. ^37:18De sus lados salían seis brazos; tres brazos de un lado del candelero, y otros tres brazos del otro lado del candelero; ^37:19en un brazo, tres copas figura de flor de almendro, una manzana y una flor; y en el otro brazo tres copas figura de flor de almendro, una manzana y una flor: y así en los seis brazos que salían del candelero. ^37:20Y en el candelero había cuatro copas figura de flor de almendro (sus manzanas y sus flores), ^37:21y una manzana debajo de los dos brazos de lo mismo, y otra manzana debajo de los otros dos brazos de lo mismo, y otra manzana debajo de los otros dos brazos de lo mismo, conforme a los seis brazos que salían de él. ^37:22Sus manzanas y sus brazos eran de lo mismo; todo era una pieza labrada a martillo, de oro puro. ^37:23Hizo asimismo sus siete candilejas, y sus despabiladeras, y sus platillos, de oro puro: ^37:24de un talento de oro puro lo hizo, con todos sus vasos. ^37:25Hizo también el altar del incienso de madera de acacia; un codo su longitud, y otro codo su anchura, era cuadrado; y su altura de dos codos; y sus cuernos de la misma pieza. ^37:26Y lo cubrió de oro puro, su mesa y sus paredes alrededor, y sus cuernos; y le hizo una cornisa de oro alrededor. ^37:27Le hizo también dos anillos de oro debajo de la cornisa en las dos esquinas a los dos lados, para meter por ellos las varas con que había de ser llevado. ^37:28E hizo las varas de madera de acacia, y las cubrió de oro. ^37:29Hizo asimismo el aceite santo de la unción, y el incienso puro de especias aromáticas, obra de perfumista.

^38:1Igualmente hizo el altar del holocausto de madera de acacia; su longitud de cinco codos, y su anchura de otros cinco codos, cuadrado, y de tres codos de altura. ^38:2E hizo los cuernos a sus cuatro esquinas, los cuales eran de la misma pieza, y lo cubrió de bronce. ^38:3Hizo asimismo todos los vasos del altar: calderas, y tenazas, y tazones, y garfios, y palas; todos sus vasos hizo de bronce. ^38:4E hizo para el altar el enrejado de bronce, de hechura de red, que puso en su cerco por debajo hasta el medio del altar. ^38:5Hizo también cuatro anillos de fundición a los cuatro extremos del enrejado de bronce, para meter las varas. ^38:6E hizo las varas de madera de acacia, y las cubrió de bronce. ^38:7Y metió las varas por los anillos a los lados del altar, para llevarlo con ellas: hueco lo hizo, de tablas. ^38:8También hizo la fuente de bronce, con su base de bronce, de los espejos de las mujeres que velaban a la puerta del Tabernáculo de la congregación.

^38:9Hizo asimismo el atrio: del lado sur, al mediodía, las cortinas del atrio eran de cien codos, de lino torcido. ^38:10Sus columnas veinte, con sus veinte bases de bronce: los capiteles de las columnas y sus molduras, de plata. ^38:11Y a la parte del norte cortinas de cien codos; sus columnas, veinte, con sus veinte bases de bronce; los capiteles de las columnas y sus molduras, de plata. ^38:12A la parte del occidente cortinas de cincuenta codos; sus columnas diez, y sus diez bases; los capiteles de las columnas y sus molduras, de plata. ^38:13Y a la parte oriental, al este, cortinas de cincuenta codos. ^38:14Al un lado cortinas de quince codos, sus tres columnas, y sus tres bases. ^38:15Al otro lado, de uno y otro lado de la puerta del atrio, cortinas de quince codos, sus tres columnas, y sus tres bases. ^38:16Todas las cortinas del atrio alrededor eran de lino torcido. ^38:17Y las bases de las columnas eran de bronce; los capiteles de las columnas y sus molduras, de plata; asimismo las cubiertas de las cabezas de ellas, de plata: y todas las columnas del atrio tenían molduras de plata. ^38:18Y la cortina de la puerta del atrio era de obra de recamador, de azul, púrpura y carmesí, y lino torcido; la longitud de veinte codos, y la altura en el ancho de cinco codos, conforme a las cortinas del atrio. ^38:19Y sus columnas fueron cuatro con sus cuatro bases de bronce; y sus capiteles de plata; y las cubiertas de los capiteles de ellas y sus molduras, de plata. ^38:20Y todas las estacas del Tabernáculo y del atrio alrededor eran de bronce.

¶U   Bezaleel y Aholiab hicieron las vestimentas y las insignias reales del Sumo Sacerdote (38:21 - 39:31)

^38:21Éstas son las cuentas del Tabernáculo, del Tabernáculo del Testimonio, como fue contado, por orden de Moisés por mano de Itamar, hijo de Aarón sacerdote, para el ministerio de los levitas. ^38:22Y Bezaleel, hijo de Uri, hijo de Hur, de la tribu de Judá, hizo todas las cosas que Jehová mandó a Moisés. ^38:23Y con él estaba Aholiab, hijo de Ahisamac, de la tribu de Dan, artífice, y diseñador, y recamador en azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino fino.

^38:24Todo el oro empleado en la obra, en toda la obra del santuario, el cual fue oro de ofrenda, fue veintinueve talentos, y setecientos treinta siclos, según el siclo del Santuario. ^38:25Y la plata de los contados de la congregación fue cien talentos, y mil setecientos setenta y cinco siclos, según el siclo del Santuario: ^38:26medio por cabeza, medio siclo, según el siclo del Santuario, a todos los que pasaron por cuenta de edad de veinte años y arriba, que fueron seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta. ^38:27Hubo además cien talentos de plata para hacer de fundición las bases del Santuario y las bases del velo; en cien bases cien talentos, a talento por base. ^38:28Y de los mil setecientos setenta y cinco siclos hizo los capiteles de las columnas, y cubrió los capiteles de ellas, y las ciñó. ^38:29Y el bronce ofrendado fue setenta talentos, y dos mil cuatrocientos siclos. ^38:30Del cual hizo las bases de la puerta del Tabernáculo de la congregación, y el altar de bronce, y su enrejado de bronce, y todos los vasos del altar. ^38:31Y las bases del atrio alrededor, y las bases de la puerta del atrio, y todas las estacas del Tabernáculo, y todas las estacas del atrio alrededor. ^39:1Y del azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, hicieron las vestimentas del ministerio para ministrar en el santuario, y asimismo hicieron las vestiduras santas para Aarón; como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés.

^39:2Hizo también el efod de oro, de azul y púrpura y carmesí, y lino torcido. ^39:3Y extendieron las planchas de oro, y cortaron hilos para tejerlos entre el azul, y entre la púrpura, y entre el carmesí, y entre el lino, con delicada obra. ^39:4Le hicieron las hombreras para que se juntasen; y se unían en sus dos lados. ^39:5Y el cinto del efod que estaba sobre él, era de lo mismo, conforme a su obra; de oro, azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido; como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés. ^39:6Y labraron las piedras de ónice montadas en engastes de oro, grabadas de grabadura de sello con los nombres de los hijos de Israel. ^39:7Y las puso sobre las hombreras del efod, por piedras de memoria a los hijos de Israel; como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés.

^39:8Hizo también el pectoral de obra de arte, como la obra del efod, de oro, azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido. ^39:9Era cuadrado: doble hicieron el pectoral: su longitud era de un palmo, y de un palmo su anchura, doblado. ^39:10Y engastaron en él cuatro hileras de piedras. La primera hilera era un sardio, un topacio, y un carbunclo; ésta era la primera hilera. ^39:11La segunda hilera, una esmeralda, un zafiro, y un diamante. ^39:12La tercera hilera, un jacinto, un ágata, y una amatista. ^39:13Y la cuarta hilera, un berilo, un ónice y un jaspe; montadas y encajadas en sus engastes de oro. ^39:14Y las piedras eran conforme a los nombres de los hijos de Israel, doce según los nombres de ellos; como grabaduras de sello, cada una con su nombre según las doce tribus. ^39:15Hicieron también sobre el pectoral las cadenas pequeñas de hechura de trenza, de oro puro. ^39:16Hicieron asimismo los dos engastes y los dos anillos, de oro; y pusieron los dos anillos de oro en los dos cabos del pectoral. ^39:17Y pusieron las dos trenzas de oro en aquellos dos anillos a los cabos del pectoral. ^39:18Y fijaron los dos extremos de las dos trenzas en los dos engastes, que pusieron sobre las hombreras del efod, en la parte delantera de él. ^39:19E hicieron dos anillos de oro, que pusieron en los dos extremos del pectoral, en su orilla, a la parte baja del efod. ^39:20Hicieron además dos anillos de oro, los cuales pusieron en las dos hombreras del efod, abajo en la parte delantera, delante de su juntura, sobre el cinto del efod. ^39:21Y ataron el pectoral de sus anillos a los anillos del efod con un cordón de azul, para que estuviese sobre el cinto del mismo efod, y no se apartase el pectoral del efod; como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés.

^39:22Hizo también el manto del efod de obra de tejedor, todo de azul. ^39:23Con su abertura en medio de él, como el cuello de un coselete, con un borde en derredor de la abertura, para que no se rompiese. ^39:24E hicieron en las orillas del manto las granadas de azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, y lino torcido. ^39:25Hicieron también las campanillas de oro puro, y pusieron las campanillas entre las granadas por las orillas del manto alrededor, entre las granadas: ^39:26una campanilla y una granada, una campanilla y una granada alrededor, en las orillas del manto, para ministrar; como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés. ^39:27Igualmente hicieron las túnicas de lino fino de obra de tejedor, para Aarón y para sus hijos, ^39:28asimismo la mitra de lino fino, y los adornos de las tiaras de lino fino, y los calzoncillos de lino, de lino torcido; ^39:29también el cinto de lino torcido, y de azul, y púrpura, y carmesí, de obra de recamador; como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés. ^39:30Hicieron asimismo la plancha de la corona santa de oro puro, y escribieron en ella como grabado de sello, “SANTIDAD A JEHOVÁ”. ^39:31Y pusieron en ella un cordón de azul, para colocarla en alto sobre la mitra; como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés.

§Único   Conclusión: Moisés levantó el Tabernáculo de las cosas traídas por Bezaleel y el pueblo; y la gloria de Jehová lo llenó (39:32 - 40:38)

^39:32Así fue acabada toda la obra del Tabernáculo, del Tabernáculo de la congregación.

E hicieron los hijos de Israel como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés: así lo hicieron.

^39:33Y trajeron el Tabernáculo a Moisés, el Tabernáculo y todos sus vasos; sus corchetes, sus tablas, sus vigas, y sus columnas, y sus bases; ^39:34y la cubierta de pieles rojas de carneros, y la cubierta de pieles de tejones, y el velo del pabellón; ^39:35el Arca del Testimonio, y sus varas, y el propiciatorio; ^39:36la mesa, todos sus vasos, y el pan de la proposición; ^39:37el candelero puro, sus candilejas, las lámparas que debían mantenerse en orden, y todos sus vasos, y el aceite para la luminaria; ^39:38y el altar de oro, y el aceite de la unción, y el incienso aromático, y la cortina para la puerta del Tabernáculo; ^39:39el altar de bronce, con su enrejado de bronce, sus varas, y todos sus vasos; y la fuente, y su base; ^39:40las cortinas del atrio, y sus columnas, y sus bases, y la cortina para la puerta del atrio, y sus cuerdas, y sus estacas, y todos los vasos del servicio del Tabernáculo, del Tabernáculo de la congregación; ^39:41las vestimentas del servicio para ministrar en el santuario, las santas vestiduras para Aarón el sacerdote, y las vestiduras de sus hijos, para ministrar en el sacerdocio.

^39:42En conformidad a todas las cosas que Jehová había mandado a Moisés, así hicieron los hijos de Israel toda la obra.

^39:43Y vio Moisés toda la obra, y he aquí que la habían hecho como Jehová había mandado; y Moisés los bendijo.

¶El complemento   Moisés levantó el tabernáculo y la gloria de Jehová lo llenó (40:1 - 38)

^40:1Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo, ^40:2“En el primer día del mes primero harás levantar el Tabernáculo, el Tabernáculo de la congregación. ^40:3Y pondrás en él el Arca del Testimonio, y cubrirás el Arca con el velo. ^40:4Y meterás la mesa, y la pondrás en orden; meterás también el candelero y encenderás sus lámparas. ^40:5Y pondrás el altar de oro para el incienso delante del Arca del Testimonio, y pondrás la cortina delante de la puerta del Tabernáculo. ^40:6Después pondrás el altar del holocausto delante de la puerta del Tabernáculo, del Tabernáculo de la congregación. ^40:7Luego pondrás la fuente entre el Tabernáculo de la congregación y el altar; y pondrás agua en ella. ^40:8Finalmente pondrás el atrio en derredor, y la cortina de la puerta del atrio. ^40:9Y tomarás el aceite de la unción y ungirás el Tabernáculo, y todo lo que está en él; y le santificarás con todos sus vasos, y será santo. ^40:10Ungirás también el altar del holocausto y todos sus vasos, y santificarás el altar; y será un altar santísimo. ^40:11Asimismo ungirás la fuente y su base, y la santificarás. ^40:12Y harás llegar a Aarón y a sus hijos a la puerta del Tabernáculo de la congregación, y los lavarás con agua. ^40:13Y harás vestir a Aarón las vestiduras santas, y lo ungirás, y lo santificarás, para que sea mi sacerdote. ^40:14Después harás llegar sus hijos, y les vestirás las túnicas. ^40:15Y los ungirás como ungiste a su padre, y serán mis sacerdotes: y será que su unción les servirá por sacerdocio perpetuo por sus generaciones”. ^40:16Y Moisés hizo conforme a todo lo que Jehová le mandó; así lo hizo.

^40:17Y así en el día primero del primer mes, en el segundo año, el Tabernáculo fue erigido. ^40:18Y Moisés hizo levantar el Tabernáculo, y asentó sus bases, y colocó sus tablas, y puso sus vigas, e hizo alzar sus columnas. ^40:19Y extendió la tienda sobre el Tabernáculo, y puso la sobrecubierta encima del mismo, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:20Y tomó y puso el Testimonio dentro del Arca; y colocó las varas en el Arca y puso el propiciatorio arriba, sobre el Arca; ^40:21y metió el Arca en el Tabernáculo; y puso el velo de la tienda y cubrió el Arca del Testimonio, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:22Y puso la mesa en el Tabernáculo de la congregación, al lado norte de la cortina, fuera del velo. ^40:23Y sobre ella puso por orden los panes delante de Jehová, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:24Y puso el candelero en el Tabernáculo de la congregación, enfrente de la mesa, al lado sur de la cortina. ^40:25Y encendió las lámparas delante de Jehová, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:26Puso también el altar de oro en el Tabernáculo de la congregación, delante del velo, ^40:27y encendió sobre él el incienso aromático, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:28Puso asimismo la cortina de la puerta del Tabernáculo. ^40:29Y colocó el altar del holocausto a la puerta del Tabernáculo, del Tabernáculo de la congregación; y ofreció sobre él holocausto y presente, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:30Y puso la fuente entre el Tabernáculo de la congregación y el altar; y puso en ella agua para lavar. ^40:31Y Moisés y Aarón y sus hijos lavaban en ella sus manos y sus pies. ^40:32Cuando entraban en el Tabernáculo de la congregación, y cuando se acercaban al altar, se lavaban, como Jehová había mandado a Moisés. ^40:33Finalmente erigió el atrio en derredor del Tabernáculo y del altar, y puso la cortina de la puerta del atrio. Y así acabó Moisés la obra.

^40:34Entonces una nube cubrió el Tabernáculo de la congregación, y la gloria de Jehová llenó el Tabernáculo.

^40:35Y no podía Moisés entrar en el Tabernáculo de la congregación: porque la nube estaba sobre él, y la gloria de Jehová lo tenía lleno.

^40:36Y cuando la nube se alzaba del Tabernáculo, los hijos de Israel se movían en todas sus jornadas; ^40:37pero si la nube no se alzaba, no partían hasta el día en que ella se alzaba: ^40:38porque la nube de Jehová estaba de día sobre el Tabernáculo, y el fuego estaba de noche en él, a vista de toda la casa de Israel, en todas sus jornadas.
