^8:4And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him.

And the assembly was gathered together to the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation.

^8:5And Moses said to the congregation, “This is the thing which Jehovah commanded to be done.”

^8:6And Moses brought Aaron and his sons; and washed them with water.

^8:7And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the belt, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him; and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it to him with it. ^8:8And he put the breastplate upon him; also he put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastplate. ^8:9And he put the miter upon his head. Also upon the miter, even upon his forefront, he put the golden plate, the holy crown, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^8:10And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the Tabernacle and all that was in it, and sanctified them. ^8:11And he sprinkled some of it upon the altar seven times, and he anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them. ^8:12And he poured some of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

^8:13And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with linen belts, and put linen caps upon them, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

§Complement   Body: Moses sacrificed one bull and two rams for Aaron and his sons (8:14 - 36)

^8:14And he brought the young bull for the sin offering; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bull for the sin offering. ^8:15And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar; and he poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it. ^8:16And he took all the fat that was upon the innards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar. ^8:17But the bull, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burned with fire outside the camp, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^8:18And he brought the ram for the burnt offering; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram. ^8:19And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about. ^8:20And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burned the head, the pieces, and the fat. ^8:21And he washed the innards and the legs in water; and Moses burned the whole ram upon the altar; it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet aroma, and an offering made by fire to Jehovah, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^8:22And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram. ^8:23And he slew it; and Moses took some of its blood, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the large toe of his right foot. ^8:24And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put some of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the large toes of their right feet. And Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

^8:25And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the innards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder. ^8:26And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before Jehovah, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer; and he put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder; ^8:27and he put all of it upon Aaron's hands, and upon his sons' hands, and he waved them as a wave offering before Jehovah. ^8:28And Moses took them from off their hands, and burned them on the altar upon the burnt offering; they were consecrations for a sweet aroma; it is an offering made by fire to Jehovah. ^8:29And Moses took the breast; and he waved it as a wave offering before Jehovah: for it was Moses' part of the ram of consecration, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^8:30And Moses took some of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and he sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him. And he sanctified Aaron and his garments; and his sons and his sons' garments with him. ^8:31And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, “Boil the flesh at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation, and eat it there with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons shall eat it.’ ^8:32And you shall burn with fire that which remains of the flesh and of the bread. ^8:33And you shall not go out of the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation for seven days, until the days of your consecration are at an end; he shall consecrate you for seven days. ^8:34As he has done this day, so Jehovah has commanded to do, to make an atonement for you; ^8:35therefore you shall remain at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of Jehovah, that you do not die: for so I am commanded.” ^8:36So Aaron and his sons did all things which Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses.

^9:1And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel; ^9:2and he said to Aaron, “Take a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before Jehovah. ^9:3And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Take a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering; ^9:4also a young bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before Jehovah; and a meal offering mingled with oil. For today Jehovah will appear to you.’”

^9:5And they brought that which Moses commanded before the Tabernacle of the congregation; and all the congregation drew near and stood before Jehovah. ^9:6And Moses said, “This is the thing which Jehovah commanded that you should do; and the glory of Jehovah shall appear to you.”

^9:7And Moses said to Aaron, “Go to the altar, and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering; and make an atonement for yourself, and for the people. And offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them, as Jehovah commanded.” ^9:8Aaron therefore went to the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. ^9:9And the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar. ^9:10But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burned upon the altar, as Jehovah commanded Moses. ^9:11And the flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside the camp. ^9:12And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented to him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar. ^9:13And they presented the burnt offering to him, with its pieces and the head; and he burned them upon the altar. ^9:14And he washed the innards and the legs, and burned them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

^9:15And he brought the people's offering; and took the goat (which was the sin offering for the people) and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first. ^9:16And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the prescribed manner. ^9:17And he brought the meal offering, and took a handful of it, and burned it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning. ^9:18He slew also the bull and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people. And Aaron's sons presented the blood to him (which he sprinkled upon the altar round about), ^9:19and they presented the fat of the bull and of the ram, the rump, and that which covers the innards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver. ^9:20And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burned the fat upon the altar. ^9:21And Aaron waved the breasts and the right shoulder as a wave offering before Jehovah, as Moses commanded.

^9:22And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, the burnt offering, and peace offerings. ^9:23And Moses and Aaron went into the Tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people. And the glory of Jehovah appeared to all the people. ^9:24And a fire came out from before Jehovah, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar; and when all the people saw this, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

^10:1And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took both of them his censer, and put fire in it, and put incense on it; and they offered strange fire before Jehovah, which he did not command them to do. ^10:2And fire went out from Jehovah, and devoured them; and they died before Jehovah. ^10:3Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Jehovah spoke, saying, ‘I will be sanctified in them that come near me, and I will be glorified before all the people.’“ And Aaron held his peace. ^10:4And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, “Come near, and carry your brethren from before the Sanctuary out of the camp.” ^10:5So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses had said. ^10:6And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, “Do not uncover your heads; neither tear your clothes, lest you die; and lest wrath comes upon all the people; but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Jehovah has kindled. ^10:7And you shall not go out from the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation, lest you die: for the anointing oil of Jehovah is upon you.” And they did according to the word of Moses.

^10:8And Jehovah spoke to Aaron, saying, ^10:9“Drink no wine or alcohol; neither you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the Tabernacle of the congregation, lest you die. It shall be a Statute forever throughout your generations, ^10:10so that you may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; ^10:11and so that you may teach the children of Israel all the Statutes which Jehovah has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.”

^10:12And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar (his sons that were left), “Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of Jehovah made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy; ^10:13and you shall eat it in the holy place; because it is your due, and your sons' due, of the sacrifices of Jehovah made by fire: for so I am commanded.

^10:14And you shall eat the wave breast and heave shoulder in a clean place (you, your sons, and your daughters with you): for they are your due, and your sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel. ^10:15They shall bring the heave shoulder and the wave breast with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it as a wave offering before Jehovah; and it shall be yours, and your sons' with you, by a Statute forever, as Jehovah has commanded.”

^10:16And Moses diligently searched for the goat of the sin offering; and, behold, it was burned. And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying, ^10:17“Why have you not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God has given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Jehovah? ^10:18Behold, its blood was not brought in within the holy place. You should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded!” ^10:19And Aaron said to Moses, “Behold, this day they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Jehovah; and such things have befallen me. And if I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been accepted in the sight of Jehovah?” ^10:20And when Moses heard this, he was content.

^8:10Y tomó Moisés el aceite de la unción, y ungió el Tabernáculo, y todas las cosas que estaban en él, y las santificó. ^8:11Y roció de él sobre el altar siete veces, y ungió el altar y todos sus vasos, y la fuente y su base, para santificarlos. ^8:12Y derramó del aceite de la unción sobre la cabeza de Aarón, y lo ungió para santificarlo.

^8:30Y tomó Moisés del aceite de la unción, y de la sangre que estaba sobre el altar, y roció sobre Aarón, y sobre sus vestiduras, sobre sus hijos, y sobre las vestiduras de sus hijos con él; y santificó a Aarón, y sus vestiduras, y a sus hijos, y las vestiduras de sus hijos con él. ^8:31Y dijo Moisés a Aarón y a sus hijos, “Coced la carne a la puerta del Tabernáculo de la congregación; y comedla allí con el pan que está en el canastillo de las consagraciones, según yo he mandado, diciendo, ‘Aarón y sus hijos la comerán’. ^8:32Y lo que sobrare de la carne y del pan, habéis de quemarlo al fuego. ^8:33De la puerta del Tabernáculo de la congregación no saldréis en siete días, hasta el día que se cumplieren los días de vuestras consagraciones: porque por siete días seréis consagrados. ^8:34De la manera que hoy se ha hecho, mandó hacer Jehová para hacer expiación por ustedes. ^8:35A la puerta, pues, del Tabernáculo de la congregación estaréis día y noche por siete días, y guardaréis la Ordenanza delante de Jehová, para que no muráis: porque así me ha sido mandado”. ^8:36Y Aarón y sus hijos hicieron todas las cosas que mandó Jehová por medio de Moisés.

^9:5Y llevaron lo que mandó Moisés delante del Tabernáculo de la congregación, y se llegó toda la congregación, y se pusieron delante de Jehová. ^9:6Entonces Moisés dijo, “Esto es lo que mandó Jehová; hacedlo, y la gloria de Jehová se os aparecerá”.

^9:7Y dijo Moisés a Aarón, “Acércate al altar, y haz tu expiación, y tu holocausto, y haz la reconciliación por ti y por el pueblo; haz también la ofrenda del pueblo, y haz la reconciliación por ellos; como ha mandado Jehová”. ^9:8Entonces se acercó Aarón al altar y degolló el becerro de la expiación que era por él. ^9:9Y los hijos de Aarón le trajeron la sangre; y él mojó su dedo en la sangre, y puso sobre los cuernos del altar, y derramó la demás sangre al pie del altar. ^9:10E hizo arder sobre el altar la grosura y los riñones y el redaño del hígado de la expiación, como Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés. ^9:11Pero la carne y la piel las quemó al fuego fuera del campamento. ^9:12Degolló asimismo el holocausto, y los hijos de Aarón le presentaron la sangre, la cual él roció alrededor sobre el altar. ^9:13Y le presentaron después el holocausto en trozos, y la cabeza; y lo hizo quemar sobre el altar. ^9:14Luego lavó los intestinos y las piernas, y los quemó sobre el holocausto en el altar.

^9:15Ofreció también la ofrenda del pueblo, y tomó el macho cabrío que era para la expiación del pueblo, y lo degolló, y lo ofreció por el pecado como el primero. ^9:16Y ofreció el holocausto, e hizo según el rito. ^9:17Ofreció asimismo la ofrenda, y llenó de ella su mano, y la quemó sobre el altar, además del holocausto de la mañana. ^9:18Degolló también el buey y el carnero en sacrificio de paz, que era por el pueblo. Y los hijos de Aarón le presentaron la sangre (la cual roció él sobre el altar alrededor), ^9:19y las grosuras del buey y del carnero, la cola, lo que cubre las entrañas, los riñones y el redaño del hígado; ^9:20y pusieron las grosuras sobre los pechos, y él quemó las grosuras sobre el altar. ^9:21Pero los pechos, con la espaldilla derecha, los meció Aarón como ofrenda agitada delante de Jehová, tal como Moisés lo había mandado.

^9:22Después alzó Aarón sus manos hacia el pueblo y los bendijo; y descendió de hacer la expiación, y el holocausto, y el sacrificio de paz. ^9:23Y entraron Moisés y Aarón en el Tabernáculo de la congregación; y salieron, y bendijeron al pueblo; y la gloria de Jehová se apareció a todo el pueblo. ^9:24Y salió fuego de delante de Jehová, y consumió el holocausto y las grosuras sobre el altar; y viéndolo todo el pueblo, alabaron, y cayeron sobre sus rostros.

¶El complemento   Moisés trabajó para evitar mayores daños a Aarón y sus hijos después de que Jehová mató a Nadab y Abiú (10:1 - 20)

^10:1Y los hijos de Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, tomaron cada uno su incensario, y pusieron fuego en ellos, sobre el cual pusieron incienso, y ofrecieron delante de Jehová fuego extraño, que él nunca les mandó. ^10:2Y salió fuego de delante de Jehová que los quemó, y murieron delante de Jehová. ^10:3Entonces dijo Moisés a Aarón, “Esto es lo que habló Jehová, diciendo, ‘En los que a mí se acercan me santificaré, y en presencia de todo el pueblo seré glorificado’.” Y Aarón calló. ^10:4Y llamó Moisés a Misael, y a Elizafán, hijos de Uziel, tío de Aarón, y les dijo, “Acercaos y sacad a vuestros hermanos de delante del Santuario fuera del campamento”. ^10:5Y ellos se acercaron, y los sacaron con sus túnicas fuera del campamento, como dijo Moisés. ^10:6Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar, sus hijos, “No descubráis vuestras cabezas, ni rasguéis vuestras vestiduras, para que no muráis, ni se levante la ira sobre toda la congregación: pero dejad que vuestros hermanos, toda la casa de Israel, lamente el incendio que Jehová ha hecho. ^10:7Ni saldréis de la puerta del Tabernáculo de la congregación: porque moriréis; por cuanto el aceite de la unción de Jehová está sobre ustedes”. Y hicieron conforme al dicho de Moisés.

^10:8Y Jehová habló a Aarón, diciendo, ^10:9“Tú, y tus hijos contigo, no beberéis vino ni alcohol, cuando hubiereis de entrar en el Tabernáculo de la congregación, para que no muráis; será un Estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones; ^10:10y para poder discernir entre lo santo y lo profano, y entre lo inmundo y lo limpio; ^10:11y para enseñar a los hijos de Israel todos los Estatutos que Jehová les ha dicho por medio de Moisés”.

^10:12Y Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar (sus hijos que habían quedado), “Tomad la ofrenda que queda de las ofrendas encendidas a Jehová, y comedlo sin levadura junto al altar: porque es cosa muy santa. ^10:13Habéis, pues, de comerlo en el lugar santo: porque ésta es tu porción, y la porción de tus hijos, de las ofrendas encendidas a Jehová, pues que así me ha sido mandado.

^10:14Comeréis asimismo en lugar limpio, tú y tus hijos y tus hijas contigo, el pecho de la mecida, y la espaldilla elevada: porque son tu porción, y la porción de tus hijos, son dados de los sacrificios de paz de los hijos de Israel. ^10:15Con las ofrendas de las grosuras que se han de encender, traerán la espaldilla que se ha de elevar, y el pecho que será mecido, para que lo mezas por ofrenda agitada delante de Jehová; y será tuyo, y de tus hijos contigo, por Estatuto perpetuo, como Jehová lo ha mandado”.

^10:16Y Moisés demandó el macho cabrío de la expiación, y se halló que era quemado; y se enojó contra Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos de Aarón que habían quedado, diciendo, ^10:17“¿Por qué no comisteis la expiación en el lugar santo, viendo que es muy santa, y Dios la dio a ustedes para llevar la iniquidad de la congregación, para hacer remisión por ellos delante de Jehová? ^10:18¡Veis que su sangre no fue metida dentro del Santuario: habíais de comerla en el lugar santo, como yo mandé!”. ^10:19Y respondió Aarón a Moisés, “He aquí hoy han ofrecido su expiación y su holocausto delante de Jehová: pero me han acontecido estas cosas. ¿Pues si comiera yo hoy de la expiación, hubiera sido acepto a Jehová?”. ^10:20Y cuando Moisés oyó esto, se dio por satisfecho.
