^23:4These are the feasts of Jehovah, even holy assemblies, which you shall proclaim in their seasons: ^23:5in the fourteenth day of the first month at evening is Jehovah's Passover.

^23:6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Jehovah. Seven days you must eat unleavened bread. ^23:7In the first day you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no work of service in it. ^23:8But you shall offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah seven days; in the seventh day is a holy assembly; you shall do no work of service in it.’”

^23:9And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^23:10“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest. ^23:11And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah, to be accepted for you; on the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. ^23:12And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to Jehovah. ^23:13And its meal offering shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to Jehovah for a sweet aroma. And its drink offering shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. ^23:14And you shall neither eat bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the very same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a Statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ^23:15And you shall count to you from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be complete. ^23:16Even to the next day after the seventh Sabbath you shall number fifty days, and you shall offer a new meal offering to Jehovah. ^23:17You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour, and they shall be baked with leaven: they are the firstfruits to Jehovah. ^23:18And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bull, and two rams; they shall be for a burnt offering to Jehovah, with their meal offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet aroma to Jehovah. ^23:19Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. ^23:20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits as a wave offering before Jehovah, with the two lambs; they shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest. ^23:21And you shall proclaim on the very same day, that it may be a holy assembly to you: ‘You shall do no work of service in it.’ It shall be a Statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

^23:22And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not make clean riddance of the corners of your field when you reap; neither shall you gather any gleaning of your harvest. You shall leave them to the poor, and to the stranger; I am Jehovah your God.’”

^23:23And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^23:24“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy assembly. ^23:25You shall do no work of service in it; but you shall offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah.’”

^23:26And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^23:27“Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy assembly to you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah. ^23:28And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before Jehovah your God. ^23:29For whatsoever person there is that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. ^23:30And whatsoever person it is that does any work in that same day, the same person will I destroy from among his people. ^23:31You shall do no manner of work; it shall be a Statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ^23:32It shall be to you a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening unto evening, you shall observe your Sabbath.”

^23:33And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^23:34“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to Jehovah. ^23:35On the first day shall be a holy assembly; you shall do no work of service in it. ^23:36Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah; on the eighth day it shall be a holy assembly to you, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah; it is a solemn assembly, and you shall do no work of service in it. ^23:37These are the feasts of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy assemblies, to offer an offering made by fire to Jehovah: a burnt offering, a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything upon his day: ^23:38beside the Sabbaths of Jehovah, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which you give to Jehovah.

^23:39Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast to Jehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath. ^23:40And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of good trees: branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God seven days. ^23:41And you shall keep it a feast to Jehovah seven days in the year. It shall be a Statute forever in your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. ^23:42You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are born Israelites shall dwell in booths, ^23:43so that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.’” ^23:44And Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of Jehovah.

^24:1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^24:2“Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. ^24:3Outside the veil of the Testimony, in the Tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening until the morning before Jehovah continually; it shall be a Statute forever in your generations. ^24:4He shall set the lamps in order upon the pure candlestick before Jehovah continually. ^24:5And you shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it; two tenth deals shall be in one cake. ^24:6And you shall set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah. ^24:7And you shall put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Jehovah. ^24:8Every Sabbath he shall set it in order before Jehovah continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an Everlasting Covenant. ^24:9And it shall be Aaron's and his son's; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Jehovah made by fire by a perpetual Statute.”

§Complement   Body: Jehovah commanded Israel to celebrate special Sabbaths (24:10 - 25:55)

^24:10And the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel fought together in the camp; ^24:11and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name of Jehovah, and cursed. And they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. ^24:12And they put him in custody, that the mind of Jehovah might be shown them. ^24:13And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, ^24:14“Bring forth him that has cursed outside the camp. And let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head; and let all the congregation stone him. ^24:15And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whosoever curses his God, shall bear his sin. ^24:16And he that blasphemes the Name of Jehovah, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The stranger, as well as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the Name of Jehovah, he shall be put to death. ^24:17And he that kills any man shall surely be put to death. ^24:18And he that kills a beast shall make it good; beast for beast. ^24:19And if a man causes a blemish in his neighbor, as he has done, so shall it be done to him: ^24:20breach for breach, eye for eye, and tooth for tooth; as he has caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again. ^24:21And he that kills a beast, he shall restore it. And he that kills a man, he shall be put to death. ^24:22You shall have one standard of Law, for the stranger as well as for one of your own country: for I am Jehovah your God.’” ^24:23And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp; and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

^25:1And Jehovah spoke to Moses in mount Sinai, saying, ^25:2“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to Jehovah. ^25:3Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruit. ^25:4But in the seventh year it shall be a Sabbath of rest to the land, a Sabbath for Jehovah: you shall neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard. ^25:5That which grows of its own accord of your harvest you shall not reap; neither gather the grapes of your unpruned vine: for it is a year of rest to the land. ^25:6And the Sabbath of the land shall be food for you: for you, and for your manservant, and for your maidservant, and for your hired servant, and for your stranger that sojourns with you, ^25:7and for your cattle, and for the beast that is in your land, shall all its increase be food.

^25:8And you shall number seven Sabbaths of years to you, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be forty-nine years to you. ^25:9Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; in the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. ^25:10And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee to you. And every man shall return to his possession, and every man shall return to his family. ^25:11A Jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you. You shall not sow; neither reap that which grows of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of your unpruned vine: ^25:12for it is the Jubilee. It shall be holy to you. You shall eat the increase of it out of the field. ^25:13In the year of this Jubilee every man shall return to his possession. ^25:14And if you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy anything of your neighbor's hand, you shall not oppress one another: ^25:15according to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy of your neighbor, and according to the number of years of the fruits he shall sell to you. ^25:16According to the multitude of years you shall increase its price, and according to the fewness of years you shall diminish its price: for he sells according to the number of the years of the fruits to you. ^25:17Therefore you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your God: for I am Jehovah your God. ^25:18Therefore you shall do my Statutes, and keep my Judgments, and do them; and you shall dwell in the land safely. ^25:19And the land shall yield her fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell in it safely. ^25:20And if you shall say, ‘What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase.’ ^25:21Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years. ^25:22And you shall sow the eighth year, and eat still of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in, you shall eat of the old store.

^25:23The land shall not be sold permanently: for the land is mine: for you are strangers and sojourners with me. ^25:24And in all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land. ^25:25If your brother has become poor, and has sold away some of his possession, and if any of his relatives come to redeem it, then he shall redeem that which his brother sold. ^25:26And if the man has none to redeem it, and himself is able to redeem it, ^25:27then let him count the years of the sale of it, and restore the surplus to the man to whom he sold it, so that he may return to his possession. ^25:28But if he is not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that bought it until the year of Jubilee; and in the Jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return to his possession. ^25:29And if a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year he may redeem it. ^25:30And if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established forever to him that bought it throughout his generations; it shall not go out in the Jubilee. ^25:31But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country; they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the Jubilee. ^25:32Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time. ^25:33And if a man purchases a house of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of Jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel. ^25:34But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold: for it is their perpetual possession.

^25:35And if your brother has become poor, and fallen in decay with you, then you shall help him; moreover, though he is a stranger, or a sojourner, so that he may live with you. ^25:36Take no interest of him, nor increase; but fear your God, so that your brother may live with you. ^25:37You shall not give him your money upon interest, nor lend him your provisions for increase. ^25:38I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan; and to be your God. ^25:39And if your brother that dwells by you has become poor, and is sold to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a slave. ^25:40But as a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the year of Jubilee. ^25:41And then he shall depart from you, both he and his children with him, and shall return to his own family, and he shall return to the possession of his fathers: ^25:42for they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves. ^25:43You shall not rule over him with tyranny, but shall fear your God. ^25:44Both your menservants, and your maidservants, which you shall have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall you buy menservants and maidservants. ^25:45Moreover of the children of the strangers that sojourn among you, of them shall you buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begot in your land; and they shall be your possession. ^25:46And you shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your slaves forever. But over your brethren the children of Israel, you shall not rule one over another with tyranny. ^25:47And if a sojourner or stranger becomes rich by you, and your brother that dwells by him becomes poor, and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner by you, or to the stock of the stranger's family: ^25:48after that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him: ^25:49either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is near of kin to him of his family may redeem him; or if he is able, he may redeem himself. ^25:50And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him until the year of Jubilee; and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of years, according to the time of a hired servant shall it be with him. ^25:51If there are still many years ahead, according to them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for. ^25:52And if there remains but a few years to the year of Jubilee, then he shall count with him, and according to his years he shall give him again the price of his redemption. ^25:53And he shall be with him as a yearly hired servant; and the other shall not rule with tyranny over him in your sight. ^25:54And if he is not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of Jubilee, both he, and his children with him. ^25:55For the children of Israel are servants to me; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.

^26:1You shall not make you any idols nor a carved image; neither shall you set up a standing image; neither shall you set up any statue of stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am Jehovah your God.

^26:3If you walk in my Statutes, and keep my Commandments, and do them, ^26:4then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. ^26:5And your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. ^26:6And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. And I will rid evil beasts out of the land; neither shall the sword go through your land. ^26:7And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. ^26:8And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. ^26:9For I will have respect to you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my Covenant with you. ^26:10And you shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

^26:11And I will set my Tabernacle among you, and my soul shall not abhor you; ^26:12and I will walk among you. And I will be your God, and you shall be my people.

^26:13I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

¶Complement   Jehovah will bring Judgment upon Israel if you break his Covenant (26:14 - 45)

^26:14But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these Commandments; ^26:15and if you shall despise my Statutes, or if your soul abhors my Judgments, so that you will not do all my Commandments, but that you break my Covenant, ^26:16I also will do this to you: I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning fever, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, because your enemies shall eat it. ^26:17And I will set my face against you, and you shall be slain before your enemies. They that hate you shall reign over you; and you shall flee when no one pursues you.

^26:18And if you will not yet for all this listen to me, then I will punish you seven more times for your sins. ^26:19And I will break the pride of your power. And I will make your heaven like iron, and your earth like brass. ^26:20And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase; neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

^26:21And if you walk contrary to me, and will not listen to me, I will bring seven times more diseases upon you according to your sins. ^26:22I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your roads shall be desolate.

^26:23And if you will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary to me, ^26:24then I also will walk contrary to you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. ^26:25And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my Covenant. And when you are gathered together within your cities, I will send disease among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. ^26:26And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight; and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.

^26:27And if you will not for all this listen to me, but walk contrary to me, ^26:28then I will also walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. ^26:29And you shall eat the flesh of your sons; and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat. ^26:30And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your corpses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. ^26:31And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the aroma of your sweet odors. ^26:32And I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell in it shall be astonished at it. ^26:33And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you; and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. ^26:34Then shall the land enjoy her Sabbaths, as long as it lays desolate, and you are in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her Sabbaths. ^26:35As long as it lays desolate, it shall rest; because it did not rest in your Sabbaths, when you dwelt upon it. ^26:36And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword. And they shall fall when none pursues. ^26:37And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none is pursuing; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies. ^26:38And you shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. ^26:39And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers they shall pine away with them. ^26:40But if they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary to me ^26:41(and that I also have walked contrary to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies), if then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity, ^26:42then I will remember my Covenant with Jacob, and also my Covenant with Isaac, and also my Covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. ^26:43The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her Sabbaths, while she lays desolate without them. And they shall accept the punishment of their iniquity, because, even because they despised my Judgments, and because their soul abhorred my Statutes. ^26:44And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away; neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my Covenant with them: for I am Jehovah their God. ^26:45But I will for their sakes remember the Covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God; I am Jehovah.’”

^23:1Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo, ^23:2“Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles, ‘Las fiestas solemnes de Jehová, las cuales proclamaréis santas convocaciones, éstas son mis fiestas. ^23:3Seis días se trabajará, y el séptimo día Sábado de reposo será, convocación santa: ninguna obra haréis; Sábado es de Jehová en dondequiera que habitéis.

^23:4Éstas son las fiestas solemnes de Jehová, las convocaciones santas, a las cuales convocaréis en sus tiempos. ^23:5En el mes primero, el día catorce del mes, entre las dos tardes, pascua es de Jehová.

^23:6Y a los quince días de este mes es la fiesta solemne de los panes sin levadura a Jehová; siete días comeréis panes sin levadura. ^23:7El primer día tendréis santa convocación; ninguna obra de siervo haréis. ^23:8Y ofreceréis a Jehová siete días ofrenda encendida: el séptimo día será santa convocación; ninguna obra de siervo haréis’”.

^23:9Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo, ^23:10“Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles, ‘Cuando hubiereis entrado en la tierra que yo os doy, y segareis su mies, traeréis al sacerdote un manojo de los primeros frutos de vuestra siega; ^23:11y el sacerdote mecerá el manojo delante de Jehová, para que seáis aceptos; el día siguiente del Sábado lo mecerá el sacerdote. ^23:12Y el día que ofrezcáis el manojo, ofreceréis un cordero de un año, sin defecto, en holocausto a Jehová. ^23:13Y la ofrenda será dos décimas de flor de harina amasada con aceite, ofrenda encendida a Jehová en olor gratísimo; y su libación de vino, la cuarta parte de un hin. ^23:14Y no comeréis pan, ni grano tostado, ni espiga fresca, hasta este mismo día, hasta que hayáis ofrecido la ofrenda de vuestro Dios; Estatuto perpetuo será por vuestras generaciones en dondequiera que habitéis. ^23:15Y contaréis desde el día siguiente al sábado, desde el día que trajisteis la gavilla de la ofrenda mecida; siete sábados serán completos. ^23:16Hasta el día siguiente al séptimo sábado contaréis cincuenta días y ofreceréis una ofrenda nueva a Jehová. ^23:17De vuestras habitaciones traeréis dos panes para ofrenda mecida, que serán de dos décimas de flor de harina, cocidos con levadura, por primicias a Jehová. ^23:18Y ofreceréis con el pan siete corderos de un año, sin defecto, y un becerro de la vacada y dos carneros; serán holocausto a Jehová, con su ofrenda y sus libaciones; ofrenda encendida de olor grato a Jehová. ^23:19Ofreceréis además un macho cabrío por expiación; y dos corderos de un año en sacrificio de paz. ^23:20Y el sacerdote los mecerá en ofrenda agitada delante de Jehová, con el pan de las primicias, y los dos corderos; serán cosa santa de Jehová para el sacerdote. ^23:21Y proclamaréis en este mismo día que os será santa convocación; ninguna obra de siervo haréis; os será por Estatuto perpetuo en dondequiera que habitéis por vuestras generaciones.

^23:22Y cuando segareis la mies de vuestra tierra, no segaréis hasta el último rincón de tu campo, ni espigarás tu siega; para el pobre, y para el extranjero la dejarás; yo Jehová vuestro Dios’”.

¶Lo opuesto   Tres días especiales durante el séptimo mes: la fiesta de las trompetas, el día de la expiación y la fiesta de los tabernáculos (23:23 - 24:9)

^23:23Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo, ^23:24“Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles, ‘En el mes séptimo, al primer día del mes tendréis Sábado, una conmemoración al son de trompetas, y una santa convocación. ^23:25Ninguna obra de siervo haréis; y ofreceréis ofrenda encendida a Jehová’”.

^23:26Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo, ^23:27“También el décimo día de este mes séptimo será el Día de la Expiación: tendréis santa convocación, y afligiréis vuestras almas, y ofreceréis ofrenda encendida a Jehová. ^23:28Ninguna obra haréis en este mismo día: porque es el Día de la Expiación, para reconciliaros delante de Jehová vuestro Dios: ^23:29porque toda persona que no se afligiere en este mismo día, será cortada de entre su pueblo. ^23:30Y cualquier persona que hiciere obra alguna en este mismo día, yo destruiré la tal persona de entre su pueblo. ^23:31Ninguna obra haréis; os será por Estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones en dondequiera que habitéis. ^23:32Sábado de reposo será a ustedes, y afligiréis vuestras almas, comenzando a los nueve días del mes en la tarde; de tarde a tarde celebraréis vuestro Sábado”.

^23:33Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo, ^23:34“Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles, ‘A los quince días de este mes séptimo será la Fiesta solemne de los Tabernáculos a Jehová por siete días. ^23:35El primer día habrá santa convocación; ninguna obra de siervo haréis. ^23:36Siete días ofreceréis ofrenda encendida a Jehová: el octavo día tendréis santa convocación, y ofreceréis ofrenda encendida a Jehová; es fiesta, ninguna obra de siervo haréis. ^23:37Éstas son las fiestas solemnes de Jehová, a las que convocaréis santas reuniones, para ofrecer ofrenda encendida a Jehová, holocausto y ofrenda, sacrificio y libaciones, cada cosa en su tiempo: ^23:38además de los Sábados de Jehová, además de vuestros dones, además de todos vuestros votos, y además de todas vuestras ofrendas voluntarias que dais a Jehová.

^23:39También a los quince días del mes séptimo, cuando hubiereis almacenado el fruto de la tierra, haréis fiesta a Jehová por siete días; el primer día será Sábado; Sábado será también el octavo día. ^23:40Y tomaréis el primer día gajos con fruto de árbol hermoso, ramas de palmas, y ramas de árboles frondosos, y sauces de los arroyos; y os regocijaréis delante de Jehová vuestro Dios por siete días. ^23:41Y le haréis fiesta a Jehová por siete días cada un año; será Estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones; en el mes séptimo la haréis. ^23:42En tabernáculos habitaréis siete días: todo natural de Israel habitará en tabernáculos, ^23:43para que sepan vuestros descendientes que en tabernáculos hice yo habitar a los hijos de Israel, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto; yo Jehová vuestro Dios’”. ^23:44Así habló Moisés a los hijos de Israel sobre las fiestas solemnes de Jehová.

^24:1Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo, ^24:2“Manda a los hijos de Israel que te traigan aceite puro de olivas machacadas para el alumbrado, para hacer arder las lámparas continuamente. ^24:3Fuera del velo del testimonio, en el Tabernáculo del testimonio, las aderezará Aarón desde la tarde hasta la mañana delante de Jehová, continuamente; será Estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones. ^24:4Sobre el candelero limpio pondrá siempre en orden las lámparas delante de Jehová. ^24:5Y tomarás flor de harina, y cocerás de ella doce tortas; cada torta será de dos décimas. ^24:6Y las pondrás en dos hileras, seis en cada hilera, sobre la mesa limpia delante de Jehová. ^24:7Pondrás también sobre cada hilera incienso puro, y será para el pan por memorial, ofrenda encendida a Jehová. ^24:8Cada día de Sábado lo pondrá continuamente en orden delante de Jehová, de parte de los hijos de Israel por Pacto sempiterno. ^24:9Y será de Aarón y de sus hijos, los cuales lo comerán en el lugar santo: porque es cosa muy santa para él, de las ofrendas encendidas a Jehová, por Estatuto perpetuo”.

§El complemento   Cuerpo: Jehová le mandó a Israel que celebrara un año de Jubileo cada 50 años (24:10 - 25:55)

^24:10Y el hijo de una mujer israelita, cuyo padre era un egipcio, salió entre los hijos de Israel; y el hijo de la israelita y un hombre de Israel riñeron en el campamento. ^24:11Y el hijo de la mujer israelita blasfemó el Nombre de Jehová, y maldijo. Entonces le llevaron a Moisés. Y su madre se llamaba Selomit, hija de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan. ^24:12Y lo pusieron en la cárcel, hasta que les fuese declarado por Palabra de Jehová. ^24:13Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo, ^24:14“Saca al blasfemo fuera del campamento. Y todos los que le oyeron pongan sus manos sobre la cabeza de él, y apedréelo toda la congregación. ^24:15Y hablarás a los hijos de Israel, diciendo, ‘Cualquiera que maldijere a su Dios, llevará su iniquidad. ^24:16Y el que blasfemare el Nombre de Jehová, ha de ser muerto; toda la congregación lo apedreará; así el extranjero como el natural, si blasfemare el Nombre de Jehová, que muera. ^24:17Asimismo el hombre que hiera de muerte a cualquier persona, que sufra la muerte. ^24:18Y el que hiere a algún animal ha de restituirlo; animal por animal. ^24:19Y el que causare lesión en su prójimo, según hizo, así le sea hecho: ^24:20rotura por rotura, ojo por ojo, diente por diente; según la lesión que haya hecho a otro, tal se hará a él. ^24:21El que hiere algún animal, ha de restituirlo; pero el que hiere de muerte a un hombre, que muera. ^24:22Un mismo derecho tendréis; como el extranjero, así será el natural: porque soy Jehová vuestro Dios’”. ^24:23Y habló Moisés a los hijos de Israel, y ellos sacaron al blasfemo fuera del campamento, y lo apedrearon. Y los hijos de Israel hicieron según Jehová había mandado a Moisés.

^25:1Y Jehová habló a Moisés en el monte de Sinaí, diciendo, ^25:2“Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles, ‘Cuando hubiereis entrado en la tierra que yo os doy, la tierra guardará Sábado a Jehová. ^25:3Seis años sembrarás tu tierra, y seis años podarás tu viña, y recogerás sus frutos; ^25:4y el séptimo año la tierra tendrá Sábado de reposo, Sábado a Jehová; no sembrarás tu tierra, ni podarás tu viña. ^25:5Lo que de suyo naciere en tu tierra segada, no lo segarás; y las uvas de tu viñedo no vendimiarás; año de reposo será a la tierra. ^25:6Pero el Sábado de la tierra os será para comer; para ti, y para tu siervo, y para tu sierva, y para tu criado, y para tu extranjero que morare contigo, ^25:7y para tu animal, y para la bestia que hubiere en tu tierra, todo el fruto de ella será para comer.

^25:8Y te has de contar siete semanas de años, siete veces siete años; de modo que los días de las siete semanas de años vendrán a serte cuarenta y nueve años. ^25:9Entonces harás resonar la trompeta del Jubileo en el mes séptimo a los diez días del mes; el Día de la Expiación haréis resonar la trompeta por toda vuestra tierra. ^25:10Y santificaréis el año cincuenta, y pregonaréis libertad en la tierra a todos sus moradores: éste os será Jubileo; y volveréis cada uno a su posesión, y cada cual volverá a su familia. ^25:11El año de los cincuenta años os será Jubileo: no sembraréis, ni segaréis lo que naciere de suyo en la tierra, ni vendimiaréis sus viñedos: ^25:12porque es Jubileo; santo será a ustedes; el producto de la tierra comeréis. ^25:13En este año de Jubileo volveréis cada uno a su posesión. ^25:14Y cuando vendiereis algo a vuestro prójimo, o comprareis de mano de vuestro prójimo, no engañe ninguno a su hermano: ^25:15conforme al número de los años después del Jubileo comprarás de tu prójimo; conforme al número de los años de los frutos te venderá él a ti. ^25:16Conforme a la multitud de los años aumentarás el precio, y conforme a la disminución de los años disminuirás el precio: porque según el número de los rendimientos te ha de vender él. ^25:17Y no engañe ninguno a su prójimo; pero tendrás temor de tu Dios: porque soy Jehová vuestro Dios. ^25:18Ejecutad, pues, mis Estatutos, y guardad mis Derechos, y ponedlos por obra, y habitaréis en la tierra seguros. ^25:19Y la tierra dará su fruto, y comeréis hasta saciaros, y habitaréis en ella con seguridad. ^25:20Y si dijereis: ¿Qué comeremos el séptimo año? He aquí no hemos de sembrar, ni hemos de recoger nuestros frutos. ^25:21Entonces yo os enviaré mi bendición el sexto año, y dará fruto por tres años. ^25:22Y sembraréis el año octavo, y comeréis del fruto añejo; hasta el año noveno, hasta que venga su fruto comeréis del añejo.

^25:23Y la tierra no se venderá para siempre: porque la tierra es mía; pues ustedes peregrinos y extranjeros sois para conmigo. ^25:24Por tanto, en toda la tierra de vuestra posesión, otorgaréis redención a la tierra. ^25:25Si tu hermano empobreciere, y vendiere algo de su posesión, su pariente más cercano vendrá y redimirá lo que su hermano hubiere vendido. ^25:26Y cuando el hombre no tuviere redentor, pero consiguiere lo suficiente para su redención; ^25:27entonces contará los años de su venta, y pagará lo que quedare al varón a quien vendió, y volverá a su posesión. ^25:28Pero si no consiguiere lo suficiente para recobrarlo para sí, entonces lo que vendió quedará en poder del que lo compró hasta el año del Jubileo; y en el Jubileo saldrá, y él volverá a su posesión. ^25:29Y el varón que vendiere casa de habitación en una ciudad amurallada, tendrá facultad de redimirla hasta acabarse el año de su venta; un año será el término en que podrá redimirla. ^25:30Y si no fuere redimida dentro de un año entero, la casa que estuviere en la ciudad amurallada quedará para siempre para aquel que la compró, y para sus descendientes; no saldrá en el Jubileo. ^25:31Pero las casas de las aldeas que no tienen muro alrededor, serán estimadas como tierras del campo; tendrán redención, y saldrán en el Jubileo. ^25:32En cuanto a las ciudades de los levitas, siempre podrán los levitas redimir las casas de las ciudades que poseyeren. ^25:33Y el que comprare de los levitas, saldrá de la casa vendida, o de la ciudad de su posesión, en el Jubileo; por cuanto las casas de las ciudades de los levitas es la posesión de ellos entre los hijos de Israel. ^25:34Pero la tierra del ejido de sus ciudades no se venderá: porque es perpetua posesión de ellos.

^25:35Y cuando tu hermano empobreciere, y se asilare a ti, tú lo ampararás; como peregrino y extranjero vivirá contigo. ^25:36No tomarás usura de él, ni ganancia; sino tendrás temor de tu Dios, para que tu hermano viva contigo. ^25:37No le darás tu dinero a usura, ni tus víveres a ganancia. ^25:38Yo Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para daros la tierra de Canaán y para ser vuestro Dios. ^25:39Y cuando tu hermano empobreciere, estando contigo, y se vendiere a ti, no le harás servir como esclavo. ^25:40Como siervo, como extranjero estará contigo; hasta el año del Jubileo te servirá. ^25:41Entonces saldrá de contigo, él y sus hijos consigo, y volverá a su familia, y a la posesión de sus padres se restituirá: ^25:42porque son mis siervos, los cuales saqué yo de la tierra de Egipto: no serán vendidos a manera de esclavos. ^25:43No te enseñorearás de él con dureza, pero tendrás temor de tu Dios. ^25:44Así tu siervo como tu sierva que tuvieres, serán de las naciones que están en vuestro alrededor: de ellos compraréis siervos y siervas. ^25:45También compraréis de los hijos de los forasteros que viven entre ustedes, y de los que del linaje de ellos son nacidos en vuestra tierra, que están con ustedes; los cuales tendréis por posesión. ^25:46Y los poseeréis como herencia para vuestros hijos después de ustedes, como posesión hereditaria; para siempre os serviréis de ellos. Pero en cuanto a vuestros hermanos los hijos de Israel, no os enseñorearéis uno sobre otro con dureza. ^25:47Y si el peregrino o extranjero que está contigo se enriqueciere, y tu hermano que está con él empobreciere, y se vendiere al peregrino o extranjero que está contigo, o a alguno de la familia del extranjero; ^25:48después que se hubiere vendido, podrá ser redimido; uno de sus hermanos podrá redimirlo; ^25:49o su tío, o el hijo de su tío podrán redimirlo, o un pariente cercano de su familia podrá redimirlo; o si sus medios alcanzaren, él mismo podrá redimirse. ^25:50Y hará cuentas con el que lo compró, desde el año en que se vendió a él, hasta el año del Jubileo; y el precio de su venta será conforme al número de los años, y se hará con él conforme al tiempo de un siervo asalariado. ^25:51Si aún le quedaren muchos años, conforme a ellos devolverá por su redención, del dinero por el cual se vendió. ^25:52Y si quedare poco tiempo hasta el año del Jubileo, entonces hará cuentas con él, y conforme a sus años devolverá el precio de su redención. ^25:53Como con el tomado a salario anualmente hará con él; no se enseñoreará sobre él con rigor delante de tus ojos. ^25:54Y si no se redimiere en esos años, en el año del Jubileo saldrá, él, y sus hijos con él. ^25:55Porque los hijos de Israel son mis siervos; son siervos míos a los cuales yo saqué de la tierra de Egipto; yo Jehová vuestro Dios.

§El complemento   Conclusion: Jehová recompensará o juzgará a Israel, dependiendo de su lealtad a su pacto (26:1 - 45)

¶El complemento   Jehová bendecirá a Israel si evitas la idolatría, guardas los sábados y reverencias el santuario de Jehová (26:1 - 13)

^26:1No haréis para ustedes ídolos ni escultura, ni os levantaréis estatua; ni pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros ante ella, porque soy Jehová vuestro Dios.

^26:2Guardad mis Sábados, y tened en reverencia mi Santuario; yo Jehová.

^26:3Si anduviereis en mis Decretos, y guardareis mis Mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra, ^26:4yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra dará su producto, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto. ^26:5Vuestra trilla alcanzará a la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará a la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan hasta saciaros y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra. ^26:6Y yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante; y quitaré de vuestra tierra las malas bestias, y la espada no pasará por vuestro país. ^26:7Y perseguiréis a vuestros enemigos, y caerán a espada delante de ustedes. ^26:8Y cinco de ustedes perseguirán a cien, y cien de ustedes perseguirán a diez mil, y vuestros enemigos caerán a espada delante de ustedes. ^26:9Porque yo me volveré a ustedes, y os haré crecer, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi Pacto con ustedes. ^26:10Y comeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y sacaréis fuera lo añejo a causa de lo nuevo.

^26:11Y pondré mi morada en medio de ustedes, y mi alma no os abominará. ^26:12Y andaré entre ustedes, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y ustedes seréis mi pueblo.

^26:13Yo Jehová vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fueseis sus siervos; y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar con el rostro erguido.

¶El complemento   Jehová traerá juicio sobre Israel si rompes su pacto (26:14 - 45)

^26:14Pero si no me oyereis, ni hiciereis todos estos mis Mandamientos, ^26:15y si abominareis mis Decretos, y vuestra alma menospreciare mis Derechos, no ejecutando todos mis Mandamientos, e invalidando mi Pacto; ^26:16yo también haré con ustedes esto: enviaré sobre ustedes terror, extenuación y calentura, que consuman los ojos y atormenten el alma: y sembraréis en balde vuestra semilla: porque vuestros enemigos la comerán; ^26:17y pondré mi ira sobre ustedes, y seréis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos; y los que os aborrecen se enseñorearán de ustedes, y huiréis sin que haya quien os persiga.

^26:18Y si aun con estas cosas no me oyereis, yo tornaré a castigaros siete veces más por vuestros pecados. ^26:19Y quebrantaré la soberbia de vuestra fortaleza, y tornaré vuestro cielo como hierro, y vuestra tierra como bronce. ^26:20Y vuestra fuerza se consumirá en vano: porque vuestra tierra no dará su producto, y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.

^26:21Y si anduviereis conmigo en oposición, y no me quisiereis oír, yo aumentaré las plagas sobre ustedes siete veces más, de acuerdo a vuestros pecados. ^26:22Enviaré también contra ustedes bestias fieras que os arrebaten los hijos, y destruyan vuestros animales, y os reduzcan en número, y vuestros caminos sean desolados.

^26:23Y si con estas cosas no fuereis corregidos, sino que anduviereis conmigo en oposición, ^26:24yo también procederé contra ustedes en oposición, y os heriré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados. ^26:25Y traeré sobre ustedes espada vengadora, en vindicación del Pacto; y os recogeréis a vuestras ciudades; pero yo enviaré pestilencia entre ustedes, y seréis entregados en mano del enemigo. ^26:26Cuando yo os quebrantare el sustento del pan, diez mujeres cocerán vuestro pan en un horno, y os devolverán vuestro pan por peso; y comeréis, y no os saciaréis.

^26:27Y si con esto no me oyereis, pero procediereis conmigo en oposición, ^26:28yo procederé contra ustedes, y lo haré con ira, y os castigaré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados. ^26:29Y comeréis las carnes de vuestros hijos, y comeréis las carnes de vuestras hijas. ^26:30Y destruiré vuestros lugares altos, y talaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará; ^26:31y tornaré vuestras ciudades en ruinas, y asolaré vuestros Santuarios, y no oleré la fragancia de vuestro suave perfume. ^26:32Yo asolaré también la tierra, y se pasmarán de ella vuestros enemigos que en ella moran; ^26:33y a ustedes os esparciré entre las naciones, y desenvainaré espada en pos de ustedes; y vuestra tierra estará asolada, y yermas vuestras ciudades. ^26:34Entonces la tierra descansará sus Sábados todos los días que estuviere asolada y que ustedes estéis en la tierra de vuestros enemigos; la tierra descansará entonces y gozará sus Sábados. ^26:35Todo el tiempo que esté asolada reposará, por cuanto no reposó en vuestros Sábados mientras habitabais en ella. ^26:36Y a los que quedaren de ustedes infundiré en sus corazones tal cobardía, en la tierra de sus enemigos, que el sonido de una hoja que se mueve los perseguirá, y huirán como de la espada, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga. ^26:37Y tropezarán los unos en los otros, como si huyeran delante de la espada, aunque nadie los persiga; y no podréis resistir delante de vuestros enemigos. ^26:38Y pereceréis entre las naciones, y la tierra de vuestros enemigos os consumirá. ^26:39Y los que quedaren de ustedes decaerán en las tierras de vuestros enemigos por su iniquidad; y por la iniquidad de sus padres decaerán con ellos. ^26:40Y confesarán su iniquidad, y la iniquidad de sus padres, por su prevaricación con que prevaricaron contra mí; y también porque anduvieron conmigo en oposición, ^26:41yo también habré andado en contra de ellos, y los habré metido en la tierra de sus enemigos; y entonces se humillará su corazón incircunciso, y reconocerán su pecado; ^26:42entonces yo me acordaré de mi Pacto con Jacob, y asimismo de mi Pacto con Isaac, y también de mi Pacto con Abraham me acordaré; y haré memoria de la tierra. ^26:43Y la tierra será abandonada por ellos, y disfrutará sus Sábados, estando desolada a causa de ellos; entonces se someterán al castigo de sus iniquidades; por cuanto menospreciaron mis Decretos, y el alma de ellos tuvo fastidio de mis Estatutos. ^26:44Y aun con todo esto, estando ellos en tierra de sus enemigos, yo no los desecharé, ni los abominaré para consumirlos, invalidando mi Pacto con ellos: porque yo Jehová soy su Dios. ^26:45Antes me acordaré de ellos por el Pacto antiguo, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto a los ojos de las naciones, para ser su Dios; yo Jehová’”.
