It shall not be postponed anymore: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the Word, and I will perform it,’ says the Lord Jehovah.’”

^12:26Again the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, ^12:27“Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days to come;

“‘and he prophesies of the times that are far away.’

^12:28“Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘None of my words shall be postponed anymore; but the Word which I have spoken shall be done,’ says the Lord Jehovah.’”

“‘‘And they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

^13:7“‘‘Have you not seen a vain vision, and have you not spoken a lying divination, whereas you say, ‘Jehovah says it’, although I have not spoken?’’”

^13:8“Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘Because you have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,’ says the Lord Jehovah. ^13:9‘And my hand shall be against the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies; they shall not be in the assembly of my people; neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel; neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and you shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

^13:10“‘Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, ‘Peace’; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others plastered it with unmixed mortar: ^13:11say to them which plaster it with unmixed mortar, that it shall fall; there shall be an overflowing shower, and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall tear it.

^13:12“‘Behold, when the wall has fallen, shall it not be said to you, ‘Where is the mortar which you plastered it with?’’”

^13:13“Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘I will even break it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it. ^13:14So will I break down the wall that you have plastered with unmixed mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation shall be discovered. And it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in its midst; and you shall know that I am Jehovah.

^13:15“‘Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have plastered it with unmixed mortar, and will say to you, ‘The wall is no more; neither they that plastered it’: ^13:16namely, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, but there is no peace,’ says the Lord Jehovah.”

^13:20“‘Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘Behold, I am against your charm bands, which you there hunt the souls with to make them fly; and I will tear them from your arms, and I will let the souls go, even the souls that you hunt to make them fly.

^13:21“‘Your veils also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall not be in your hand to be hunted anymore; and you shall know that I am Jehovah.’”

^13:22“‘Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life;

^13:23“‘therefore you shall not see vanity, nor divine divinations any longer: for I will deliver my people out of your hand; and you shall know that I am Jehovah.’”

¶Opposite   Jehovah refused to be inquired of by the idolatrous elders of Israel (14:1 - 5)

^14:1Then came certain of the elders of Israel to me, and they sat before me.

^14:2And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, ^14:3“Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face.

“Should I be inquired of by them at all?”

^14:4“Therefore speak to them, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘Every man of the house of Israel that sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the Prophet: I Jehovah will answer him that comes according to the multitude of his idols,

^14:5“‘‘This is so that I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.’’”

^14:7“‘‘For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourns in Israel, which separates himself from me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a Prophet to inquire of him concerning me, I Jehovah will answer him by myself; ^14:8and I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb. And I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am Jehovah.’’”

^14:9“‘‘And if the prophet is deceived when he has spoken a thing, I Jehovah have deceived that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

^14:10“‘‘And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeks to him.

^14:11“‘‘This is so that the house of Israel may not go astray from me anymore; neither be polluted anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be my people, and I may be their God,’’ says the Lord Jehovah.”

^14:21“For thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem: the sword, the famine, the wild beast, and disease, to cut off from it man and beast?’”

^14:22“‘Yet, behold, in it shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters; behold, they shall come forth to you, and you shall see their way and their doings.

“‘And you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

^14:23“‘And they shall comfort you, when you see their ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it,’ says the Lord Jehovah.”

^14:12Y vino a mí Palabra de Jehová, diciendo, ^14:13“‘Hijo de hombre, cuando la tierra pecare contra mí rebelándose pérfidamente, entonces yo extenderé mi mano sobre ella y le quebrantaré el sustento de pan y enviaré en ella hambre, y cortaré de ella a hombres y bestias; ^14:14y aunque estuviesen en medio de ella estos tres varones, Noé, Daniel, y Job, sólo ellos por su justicia librarían sus propias almas,’ dice el Señor Jehová. ^14:15‘Y si hiciere pasar malas bestias por la tierra, y la asolaren, y fuere desolada que no haya quien pase a causa de las bestias: ^14:16y estos tres varones estuviesen en medio de ella, como vivo yo,’ dice el Señor Jehová, ‘ni a sus hijos ni a sus hijas librarían; ellos solos serían librados, pero la tierra será asolada. ^14:17O si yo trajere espada sobre la tierra, y dijere, ‘Espada, pasa por la tierra’; e hiciere cortar de ella hombres y bestias: ^14:18y estos tres varones estuviesen en medio de ella, como vivo yo,’ dice Jehová el Señor, ‘no librarían ni a sus hijos ni a sus hijas; sólo ellos serían librados. ^14:19O si enviare pestilencia sobre esa tierra, y derramare mi ira sobre ella en sangre, para cortar de ella a hombres y bestias, ^14:20y estuviesen en medio de ella Noé, Daniel y Job, como vivo yo,’ dice Jehová el Señor, ‘no librarían a hijo ni a hija; pero ellos por su justicia librarían sus almas’.

^14:21“Por lo cual así dice Jehová el Señor, ‘¿Cuánto más, si yo enviare contra Jerusalén mis cuatro juicios terribles, espada, y hambre, y mala bestia, y pestilencia, para cortar de ella hombres y bestias?’”.

^14:22“‘Sin embargo, he aquí quedará en ella un remanente, hijos e hijas, que serán llevados fuera; he aquí que ellos entrarán a ustedes, y veréis su camino y sus hechos.

“‘Y seréis consolados del mal que hice venir sobre Jerusalén, de todas las cosas que traje sobre ella.

^14:23“‘Y os consolarán cuando viereis su camino y sus hechos, y sabréis que no sin causa hice todo lo que he hecho en ella,’ dice Jehová el Señor”.

¶El complemento   Jehová entregará a los habitantes de Jerusalén a el fuego de su juicio, cual los devorará (15:1 - 8)

^15:1Y vino a mí Palabra de Jehová, diciendo, ^15:2“Hijo de hombre, ¿qué es la vid más que cualquier árbol, o que un sarmiento que está entre los árboles del bosque? ^15:3¿Se tomará madera de ella para hacer cualquier obra? O ¿los hombres tomarán un alfiler de eso para colgar sobre él cualquier recipiente?

^15:4“He aquí, es echado en el fuego para combustible; el fuego devora sus dos extremos, y el medio de ella esta quemado. ¿Es útil para cualquier obra? ^15:5He aquí, cuando estaba completo, no era apto para ningún obra; ¿Cuánto menos será útil todavía para cualquier obra, cuando el fuego lo haya consumido y quemado?”.

^15:6“Por tanto, así dice Jehová el Señor: ‘Como el árbol de la vid entre los árboles del bosque, el cual di al fuego para que lo consuma, así haré a los moradores de Jerusalén.

^15:7“‘Y yo pondré mi rostro contra ellos; saldrán desde un fuego, y otro fuego los consumirá; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando yo pusiere mi rostro contra ellos.

^15:8“‘Y tornaré la tierra en asolamiento, porque han cometido una transgresión,’ dice Jehová el Señor”.
