For the intent that I might show them to you, you have been brought here; declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

^40:5And behold a wall on the outside of the House round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits long (by the cubit and a hand breadth); so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed. ^40:6Then he came to the gate which looks toward the east, and went up its stairs, and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad; and the other threshold of the gate, which was one reed broad. ^40:7And every little chamber was one reed long, and one reed broad; and between the little chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within was one reed. ^40:8He measured also the porch of the gate within, one reed. ^40:9Then he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its posts, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was inward. ^40:10And the little chambers of the gate eastward were three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side: they three were of the same measure; and the posts had the same measure on this side and on that side. ^40:11And he measured the breadth of the entry of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits. ^40:12The space also before the little chambers was one cubit on this side, and the space was one cubit on that side; and the little chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side. ^40:13He measured then the gate from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of another: the breadth was twenty-five cubits, door against door. ^40:14He made also posts of sixty cubits, even to the post of the court round about the gate. ^40:15And from the face of the gate of the entrance to the face of the porch of the inner gate were fifty cubits. ^40:16And there were narrow windows to the little chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches; and windows were round about inward; and upon each post were palm trees.

^40:17Then he brought me into the outer court; and, lo, there were chambers, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers were upon the pavement. ^40:18And the pavement by the side of the gates next to the length of the gates was the lower pavement. ^40:19Then he measured the breadth from the forefront of the lower gate to the forefront of the inner court outside, one hundred cubits eastward and northward. ^40:20And the gate of the outward court that looked toward the north, he measured its length, and its breadth. ^40:21And its little chambers were three on this side and three on that side; and its posts and its arches were after the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits. ^40:22And their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were after the measure of the gate that looks toward the east; and they went up to it by seven steps; and its arches were before them. ^40:23And the gate of the inner court was next to the gate toward the north, and toward the east; and he measured from gate to gate one hundred cubits.

^40:24After that he brought me toward the south, and behold a gate toward the south; and he measured its posts and its arches according to these measures. ^40:25And there were windows in it and in its arches round about, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits. ^40:26And there were seven steps to go up to it, and its arches were before them; and it had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, upon its posts. ^40:27And there was a gate in the inner court toward the south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south one hundred cubits.

^40:28And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate; and he measured the south gate according to these measures; ^40:29and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches, according to these measures; and there were windows in it and in its arches round about: it was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits broad. ^40:30And the arches round about were twenty-five cubits long, and five cubits broad. ^40:31And its arches were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon its posts; and the going up to it had eight steps.

^40:32And he brought me into the inner court toward the east; and he measured the gate according to these measures. ^40:33And its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches, were according to these measures; and there were windows in it and in its arches round about: it was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits broad. ^40:34And its arches were toward the outward court; and palm trees were upon its posts, on this side, and on that side; and the going up to it had eight steps.

^40:35And he brought me to the north gate, and measured it according to these measures: ^40:36its little chambers, its posts, and its arches, and the windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits. ^40:37And its posts were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon its posts, on this side, and on that side; and the going up to it had eight steps. ^40:38And the chambers and its entries were by the posts of the gates, where they washed the burnt offering. ^40:39And in the porch of the north gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slay on it the burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering. ^40:40And at the side outside, as one is going up to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables. ^40:41Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate: eight tables, which they slew their sacrifices on. ^40:42And the four tables were of cut stone for the burnt offering, of one and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits broad, and one cubit high; which also they laid the instruments on, by which they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice. ^40:43And within were hooks, a hand-width broad, fastened round about; and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering. ^40:44And outside the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their face was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the face toward the north. ^40:45And he said to me, “This chamber, whose face is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the House. ^40:46And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to Jehovah to minister to him.” ^40:47So he measured the inner court, one hundred cubits long, and one hundred cubits broad: foursquare; and the altar that was before the House.

^40:48And he brought me to the porch of the House, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side; and the breadth of the gate was three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side. ^40:49The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; and he brought me by the steps whereby they went up to it; and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

^41:1Afterward he brought me to the Temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the Tabernacle. ^41:2And the breadth of the door was ten cubits; and the sides of the door were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side; and he measured its length, forty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits. ^41:3Then he went inward, and measured the post of the door, two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits. ^41:4So he measured its length, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the Temple; and he said to me, “This is the most holy place.”

^41:5Afterward he measured the wall of the House, six cubits; and the breadth of every side chamber, four cubits, round about the House on every side. ^41:6And the side chambers were three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which was of the House for the side chambers round about, that they might be supported, but not fastened to the wall of the House. ^41:7And there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the House went still upward round about the House; therefore the breadth of the House was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst. ^41:8I saw also the height of the House round about: the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed of six great cubits. ^41:9The thickness of the wall, which was for the side chamber outside, was five cubits; and that which was left was the place of the side chambers that were within. ^41:10And between the chambers was the width of twenty cubits round about the House on every side. ^41:11And the doors of the side chambers were toward the place that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south; and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about.

^41:12Now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and its length ninety cubits. ^41:13So he measured the House, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long; ^41:14also the breadth of the face of the House, and of the separate place toward the east, one hundred cubits. ^41:15And he measured the length of the building next to the separate place which was behind it, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits, with the inner Temple, and the porches of the court: ^41:16the door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, next to the door, covered with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered, ^41:17to that above the door, even to the inner House, and outside, and by all the wall round about inside and outside, by measure. ^41:18And it was made with cherubim and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces, ^41:19so that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side; it was made through all the House round about. ^41:20From the ground to above the door were cherubim and palm trees made, and on the wall of the Temple. ^41:21The posts of the Temple were squared, and the face of the Sanctuary; the appearance of the one was as the appearance of the other. ^41:22The altar of wood was three cubits high, and its length two cubits; and its corners, and its length, and its walls, were of wood; and he said to me, “This is the table that is before Jehovah.” ^41:23And the Temple and the Sanctuary had two doors. ^41:24And the doors had two leaves each, two turning leaves: two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door. ^41:25And there were made on them, on the doors of the Temple, cherubim and palm trees, like as were made upon the walls; and there were thick planks upon the face of the porch outside. ^41:26And there were narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and upon the side chambers of the House, and thick planks.

¶Complement   The design of the outer court with north and south chambers where the priests will eat the animal sacrifices (41:1 - 14)

^42:1Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north; and he brought me into the chamber that was next to the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north. ^42:2Before the length of one hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits. ^42:3Next to the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and next to the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three levels. ^42:4And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.

^42:5Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building: ^42:6for they were in three levels, but did not have pillars as the pillars of the courts; therefore the top story was narrowed more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground. ^42:7And the wall that was outside next to the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, its length was fifty cubits: ^42:8for the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits; and, lo, before the Temple were one hundred cubits.

^42:9And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goes into them from the utter court. ^42:10The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, next to the separate place, and next to the building. ^42:11And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they; and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. ^42:12And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them.

^42:13Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they are holy chambers, where the priests that approach to Jehovah shall eat the most holy things; there shall they lay the most holy things, the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering: for the place is holy.

^42:14When the priests enter into it, then they shall not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there shall they lay their garments wherein they minister: for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.”

¶Opposite   Jehovah will come into the House by the Eastern Gate (42:15 - 43:17)

^42:15Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner House, he brought me forth toward the gate that faces toward the east, and measured it round about. ^42:16He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. ^42:17He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. ^42:18He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed. ^42:19He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. ^42:20He measured it by the four sides; it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred reeds broad, to make a separation between the Sanctuary and the common place.

^43:1Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the east; ^43:2and, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east; and his voice was like a sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory. ^43:3And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.

^43:4And the glory of Jehovah came into the House by the way of the gate which faces toward the east. ^43:5So the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the House.

^43:6And I heard him speaking to me out of the House; and the man stood by me; ^43:7and he said to me, “Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever, and my holy Name, shall the house of Israel no longer defile; neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the corpses of their kings in their high places. ^43:8In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy Name by their abominations that they have committed; therefore I have consumed them in my anger. ^43:9Now let them put away their whoredom, and the corpses of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.

^43:10You, son of man, show the House to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern. ^43:11And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, show them the form of the House, and the design thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the Ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof; and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form of it, and all its Ordinances, and do them. ^43:12This is the Law of the House: upon the top of the mountain the whole limit of it round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the Law of the House. ^43:13And these are the measures of the altar after the cubits (the long cubit is a cubit and a hand breadth): even the bottom shall be one cubit, and the breadth one cubit, and its border by its edge round about shall be a span; and this shall be the higher place of the altar. ^43:14And from the base upon the ground even to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser ledge even to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the breadth one cubit. ^43:15So the altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar and upward shall be four horns. ^43:16And the altar shall be twelve cubits long, and twelve cubits broad: square in its four squares. ^43:17And the ledge of the altar shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen cubits broad in its four squares; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and its bottom shall be one cubit about; and his stairs shall face toward the east.”

^43:18And he said to me, “Son of man, thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘These are the Ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings on it, and to sprinkle blood on it. ^43:19And you shall give to the priests the Levites that are of the seed of Zadok, which approach to me, to minister to me,’ says the Lord Jehovah, ‘a young bull for a sin offering. ^43:20And you shall take of its blood, and put it on its four horns, and on the four corners of the ledge, and upon the rim round about; thus shall you cleanse and purge it. ^43:21You shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the House, outside the Sanctuary.

^43:22And on the second day you shall offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they cleansed it with the bull.

^43:23When you have made an end of cleansing it, you shall offer a young bull without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish. ^43:24And you shall offer them before Jehovah, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering to Jehovah.

^43:25Seven days shall you prepare every day a goat for a sin offering; they shall also prepare a young bull, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish. ^43:26Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.

^43:27And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day and forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you,’ says the Lord Jehovah.”

^44:3It is for the Prince; the Prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before Jehovah; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate; and shall go out by the way of the same.”

^44:4Then he brought me the way of the north gate before the House; and I looked, and, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the House of Jehovah; and I fell upon my face. ^44:5And Jehovah said to me, “Son of man, mark well, and behold with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I say to you concerning all the Ordinances of the House of Jehovah, and all its Laws; and mark well the entering in of the House, with every going forth of the Sanctuary.

^44:6And you shall say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘O you house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations, ^44:7in that you have brought Gentiles, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my Sanctuary, to pollute it, even my House, when you offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my Covenant because of all your abominations.

^44:8And you have not kept the charge of my holy things; but you have set keepers of my charge in my Sanctuary for yourselves.’

¶Complement   Jehovah blessed the sons of Zadok and gave them ordinances for service in the Millennial Temple (44:9 - 31)

^44:9Thus says the Lord Jehovah: ‘No Gentile, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my Sanctuary, of any Gentile that is among the children of Israel.

^44:10And the Levites that went far away from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity. ^44:11Yet they shall be ministers in my Sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the House, and ministering to the House; they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them. ^44:12Because they ministered to them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore I have lifted up my hand against them,’ says the Lord Jehovah, ‘and they shall bear their iniquity. ^44:13And they shall not come near to me, to do the office of a priest to me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy place; but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed. ^44:14But I will make them keepers of the charge of the House, for all its service, and for all that shall be done in it.

^44:15But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my Sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister to me. And they shall stand before me to offer to me the fat and the blood,’ says the Lord Jehovah. ^44:16‘They shall enter into my Sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my charge.

^44:17And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, while they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. ^44:18They shall have linen caps upon their heads, and shall have linen pants upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything that causes sweat. ^44:19And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments. ^44:20Neither shall they shave their heads, nor allow their hair to grow long; they shall only trim the hair of their heads. ^44:21Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court. ^44:22Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is divorced; but they shall take virgins of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before. ^44:23And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. ^44:24And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my Judgments. And they shall keep my Laws and my Statutes in all my assemblies; and they shall hallow my Sabbaths. ^44:25And they shall not come near any dead person to defile themselves; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that has had no husband, they may defile themselves. ^44:26And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon to him seven days. ^44:27And in the day that he goes into the Sanctuary, to the inner court, to minister in the Sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering,’ says the Lord Jehovah.

^44:28‘And it shall be to them for an inheritance. I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel; I am their possession. ^44:29They shall eat the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs. ^44:30And the best of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's; you shall also give to the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in your house. ^44:31The priests shall not eat of anything that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it is bird or beast.’

¶Lo opuesto   Jehová trajo a Ezequiel en una visión a la tierra de Israel (40:1 - 2)

^40:1En el año veinticinco de nuestro cautiverio, al principio del año, a los diez del mes, a los catorce años después que la ciudad fue tomada, en aquel mismo día vino sobre mí la mano de Jehová.

Y me llevó allá.

^40:2En visiones de Dios me llevó a la tierra de Israel.

Y me puso sobre un monte muy alto;

por el cual había como la estructura de una ciudad en el sur.

¶Lo opuesto   Un ángel de Dios habló a Ezequiel (40:3 - 4)

^40:3Y me llevó allí;

y, he aquí, un varón, cuyo aspecto era como aspecto de bronce, y tenía un cordel de lino en su mano, y una caña de medir; y se puso de pie en la puerta.

^40:4Y me habló aquel varón, diciendo, “Hijo de hombre, mira con tus ojos, y oye con tus oídos;

y pon tu corazón a todas las cosas que te muestro.

Para la intención que yo podría mostrarles a usted, usted han sido traídos aquí; declara todo lo que ves a la casa de Israel”.

§El complemento   Cuerpo: El diseño del Templo del Milenio (40:5 - 43:17)

¶Único   El diseño de las puertas sur y este del Templo Milenial (40:5 - 34)

^40:5Y he aquí, un muro fuera de la Casa, alrededor; y la caña de medir que aquel varón tenía en la mano, era de seis codos, de a codo y palmo menor; y midió la anchura del edificio de una caña, y la altura, de otra caña. ^40:6Después vino a la puerta que daba hacia el oriente, y subió por sus gradas, y midió el poste de la puerta, de una caña de ancho, y el otro poste de otra caña de ancho. ^40:7Y cada cámara tenía una caña de largo, y una caña de ancho; y entre las cámaras había cinco codos de ancho; y cada poste de la puerta junto a la entrada de la puerta por dentro, una caña. ^40:8Midió asimismo la entrada de la puerta por dentro, una caña. ^40:9Midió luego la entrada del portal, de ocho codos, y sus postes de dos codos; y la puerta del portal estaba por dentro. ^40:10Y la puerta que daba hacia el oriente tenía tres cámaras a cada lado, las tres de una medida; también de una medida los portales a cada lado. ^40:11Y midió el ancho de la entrada de la puerta, de diez codos; la longitud del portal de trece codos. ^40:12Y el espacio de delante de las cámaras, de un codo a un lado, y de otro codo al otro lado; y cada cámara tenía seis codos de un lado, y seis codos del otro lado. ^40:13Y midió la puerta desde el techo de una cámara hasta el techo de la otra, veinticinco codos de anchura, puerta contra puerta. ^40:14E hizo los postes de sesenta codos, cada poste del atrio y del portal por todo alrededor. ^40:15Y desde el frente de la puerta de la entrada hasta el frente de la entrada de la puerta interior, cincuenta codos. ^40:16Y había ventanas estrechas en las cámaras, y en sus portales por dentro de la puerta alrededor, y asimismo en los corredores; y las ventanas estaban alrededor por dentro; y en cada poste había palmeras.

^40:17Me llevó luego al atrio exterior, y he aquí, había cámaras, y un enlosado hecho en derredor del atrio; treinta cámaras había sobre el enlosado. ^40:18Y el enlosado a los lados de las puertas, en proporción a la longitud de los portales, era el enlosado más bajo. ^40:19Y midió la anchura desde el frente de la puerta de abajo hasta el frente del atrio interior por fuera, de cien codos hacia el oriente y el norte. ^40:20Y de la puerta que estaba hacia el norte en el atrio exterior, midió su longitud y su anchura. ^40:21Y sus cámaras eran tres de un lado, y tres del otro, y sus postes y sus arcos eran como la medida de la puerta primera; cincuenta codos su longitud, y veinticinco su anchura. ^40:22Y sus ventanas, y sus arcos, y sus palmeras, eran conforme a la medida de la puerta que estaba hacia el oriente; y subían a ella por siete gradas; y delante de ellas estaban sus arcos. ^40:23Y la puerta del atrio interior estaba enfrente de la puerta al norte; y así al oriente; y midió de puerta a puerta cien codos.

^40:24Me llevó después hacia el sur, y he aquí una puerta hacia el sur; y midió sus portales y sus arcos conforme a estas medidas. ^40:25Y tenía sus ventanas y sus arcos alrededor, como las otras ventanas; la longitud era de cincuenta codos, y la anchura de veinticinco codos. ^40:26Y sus gradas eran de siete escalones, con sus arcos delante de ellas; y tenía palmeras, una de un lado, y otra del otro, en sus postes. ^40:27Y había una puerta que daba hacia el sur del atrio interior; y midió de puerta a puerta hacia el sur cien codos.

^40:28Me metió después en el atrio de adentro a la puerta del sur, y midió la puerta del sur conforme a estas medidas. ^40:29Y sus cámaras, y sus postes y sus arcos, eran conforme a estas medidas; y tenía sus ventanas y sus arcos alrededor; la longitud era de cincuenta codos, y de veinticinco codos la anchura. ^40:30Y los arcos alrededor eran de veinticinco codos de largo, y cinco codos de ancho. ^40:31Y sus arcos caían afuera al atrio, con palmeras en sus postes; y sus gradas eran de ocho escalones.

^40:32Y me llevó al atrio interior hacia el oriente, y midió la puerta conforme a estas medidas. ^40:33Y eran sus cámaras, y sus postes, y sus arcos, conforme a estas medidas; y tenía sus ventanas y sus arcos alrededor; la longitud era de cincuenta codos, y la anchura de veinticinco codos. ^40:34Y sus arcos caían hacia el atrio exterior, con palmeras en sus postes de un lado y otro; y sus gradas eran de ocho escalones.

¶El complemento   El diseño de la puerta norte del patio interior donde se sacrificarán y prepararán los animales sacrificados (40:35 - 41:26)

^40:35Me llevó luego a la puerta del norte, y midió conforme a estas medidas: ^40:36sus cámaras, y sus postes, y sus arcos, y sus ventanas alrededor; la longitud era de cincuenta codos, y de veinticinco codos el ancho. ^40:37Y sus postes caían hacia el atrio exterior, con palmeras a cada uno de sus postes de un lado y otro; y sus gradas eran de ocho escalones. ^40:38Y había allí una cámara, y su puerta con postes de portales; allí lavaban el holocausto. ^40:39Y en la entrada de la puerta había dos mesas a un lado, y otras dos al otro, para degollar sobre ellas el holocausto y la expiación y el sacrificio por el pecado. ^40:40Y por el lado de fuera de las gradas, a la entrada de la puerta del norte, había dos mesas; y al otro lado que estaba a la entrada de la puerta, dos mesas. ^40:41Cuatro mesas a un lado, y cuatro mesas al otro lado, junto a la puerta; ocho mesas, sobre las cuales degollaban los sacrificios. ^40:42Y las cuatro mesas para el holocausto eran de piedra labrada, de un codo y medio de longitud, y codo y medio de ancho, y de altura de un codo; sobre éstas ponían los instrumentos con que degollaban el holocausto y el sacrificio. ^40:43Y adentro, ganchos de un palmo menor, dispuestos en derredor; y sobre las mesas la carne de las ofrendas. ^40:44Y fuera de la puerta interior, en el atrio de adentro que estaba al lado de la puerta del norte, estaban las cámaras de los cantores, las cuales miraban hacia el sur; una estaba al lado de la puerta del oriente que miraba hacia el norte. ^40:45Y me dijo, “Esta cámara que mira hacia el sur es de los sacerdotes que tienen la guarda del Templo. ^40:46Y la cámara que mira hacia el norte es de los sacerdotes que tienen la guarda del altar; éstos son los hijos de Sadoc, los cuales son llamados de los hijos de Leví para ministrar a Jehová”. ^40:47Y midió el atrio, cien codos de longitud, y la anchura de cien codos cuadrados; y el altar estaba delante de la Casa.

^40:48Y me llevó al pórtico del Templo, y midió cada poste del pórtico, cinco codos de un lado, y cinco codos de otro; y la anchura de la puerta tres codos de un lado, y tres codos del otro. ^40:49La longitud del pórtico veinte codos, y la anchura once codos, al cual subían por gradas; y había columnas junto a los postes, una de un lado, y otra de otro.

^41:1Me metió luego en el Templo, y midió los postes, siendo el ancho seis codos de un lado, y seis codos de otro, que era la anchura del Tabernáculo. ^41:2Y la anchura de la puerta era de diez codos; y los lados de la puerta, de cinco codos de un lado, y cinco de otro. Y midió su longitud de cuarenta codos, y la anchura de veinte codos. ^41:3Y pasó al interior, y midió cada poste de la puerta de dos codos; y la puerta de seis codos; y la anchura de la entrada de siete codos. ^41:4Midió también su longitud, de veinte codos, y la anchura de veinte codos, delante del Templo; y me dijo, “Éste es el lugar santísimo”.

^41:5Después midió el muro de la Casa, de seis codos; y de cuatro codos la anchura de las cámaras, en torno de la Casa alrededor. ^41:6Y las tres cámaras laterales estaban sobrepuestas unas a otras, treinta por orden; y entraban modillones en la pared de la Casa alrededor, sobre los que las cámaras estribasen, para que no estribasen en la pared de la Casa. ^41:7Y había mayor anchura y espiral en las cámaras a lo más alto; la escalera de caracol de la Casa subía muy alto alrededor por dentro de la Casa; por tanto la Casa tenía más anchura arriba; y de la cámara baja se subía a la cámara alta por la del medio. ^41:8Y miré la altura de la Casa alrededor; los cimientos de las cámaras eran una caña entera de seis codos largos. ^41:9Y la anchura de la pared de afuera de las cámaras era de cinco codos, y el espacio que quedaba de las cámaras de la Casa por dentro. ^41:10Y entre las cámaras había anchura de veinte codos por todos lados alrededor de la Casa. ^41:11Y la puerta de cada cámara salía al espacio que quedaba; una puerta hacia el norte, y otra puerta hacia el sur; y la anchura del espacio que quedaba era de cinco codos por todo alrededor.

^41:12Y el edificio que estaba delante del área reservada al final, hacia el occidente era de setenta codos; y la pared del edificio, de cinco codos de anchura alrededor, y noventa codos de largo. ^41:13Y midió la Casa, cien codos de largo; y el área reservada, y el edificio, y sus paredes, de longitud de cien codos; ^41:14y la anchura de la delantera de la Casa, y del área reservada al oriente, de cien codos. ^41:15Y midió la longitud del edificio que estaba delante del área reservada que había detrás de él, y las cámaras de un lado y otro, cien codos; y el Templo de dentro, y los portales del atrio. ^41:16Los umbrales y las ventanas estrechas y las cámaras alrededor de los tres pisos estaba todo cubierto de madera alrededor, desde el suelo hasta las ventanas; y las ventanas también estaban cubiertas. ^41:17Por encima de la puerta, y hasta la Casa de dentro, y de fuera, y por toda la pared en derredor por dentro y por fuera, tomó medidas. ^41:18Y estaba labrada con querubines y palmeras; entre querubín y querubín una palmera; y cada querubín tenía dos rostros. ^41:19Un rostro de hombre hacia la palmera de un lado, y un rostro de león hacia la palmera del otro lado, por toda la Casa alrededor. ^41:20Desde el suelo hasta encima de la puerta había querubines labrados y palmeras, por toda la pared del Templo. ^41:21Cada poste del Templo era cuadrado, y el frente del Santuario era como el otro frente. ^41:22La altura del altar de madera era de tres codos, y su longitud de dos codos; y sus esquinas, y su superficie, y sus paredes, eran de madera. Y me dijo, “Ésta es la mesa que está delante de Jehová”. ^41:23Y el Templo y el Santuario tenían dos puertas. ^41:24Y en cada puerta había dos hojas, dos hojas que giraban; dos hojas en una puerta, y otras dos en la otra. ^41:25Y en las puertas del Templo había labrados de querubines y palmeras, como los que estaban labrados en las paredes, y sobre la fachada del pórtico por fuera, había unas vigas de madera. ^41:26Y había ventanas estrechas, y palmeras de uno y otro lado, por los lados del pórtico, y sobre las cámaras laterales de la Casa, y por las vigas.

¶El complemento   El diseño del atrio exterior con cámaras norte y sur donde los sacerdotes comerán los sacrificios de animales (41:1 - 14)

^42:1Me sacó luego al atrio de afuera hacia el norte, y me llevó a la cámara que estaba delante del área reservada que quedaba enfrente del edificio, hacia el norte. ^42:2Por delante de la puerta del norte su longitud era de cien codos, y la anchura de cincuenta codos. ^42:3Frente a los veinte codos que había en el atrio de adentro, y enfrente del enlosado que había en el atrio exterior, estaban las cámaras, las unas enfrente de las otras en tres pisos. ^42:4Y delante de las cámaras había un corredor de diez codos de ancho hacia adentro, con una vía de un codo; y sus puertas daban hacia el norte.

^42:5Y las cámaras más altas eran más estrechas: porque las galerías quitaban de ellas más que de las bajas y de las de en medio del edificio: ^42:6porque estaban en tres pisos, y no tenían columnas como las columnas de los atrios; por tanto, eran más estrechas que las de abajo y las del medio desde el suelo. ^42:7Y el muro que estaba afuera enfrente de las cámaras, hacia el atrio exterior enfrente de las cámaras, tenía cincuenta codos de largo: ^42:8porque la longitud de las cámaras del atrio de afuera era de cincuenta codos; y delante de la fachada del Templo había cien codos.

^42:9Y debajo de las cámaras estaba la entrada al lado oriental, para entrar en él desde el atrio de afuera. ^42:10A lo largo del muro del atrio, hacia el oriente, enfrente del área reservada, y delante del edificio, había cámaras. ^42:11Y el corredor que había delante de ellas era semejante al de las cámaras que estaban hacia el norte, conforme a su longitud, asimismo su anchura, y todas sus salidas; conforme a sus puertas, y conforme a sus entradas. ^42:12Y conforme a las puertas de las cámaras que estaban hacia el sur, había una puerta al comienzo del corredor, del corredor frente al muro hacia el oriente a los que entran.

^42:13Y me dijo, “Las cámaras del norte y las del sur, que están delante del área reservada, son cámaras santas, en las cuales los sacerdotes que se acercan a Jehová comerán las cosas santísimas; allí pondrán las ofrendas santas, el presente y la expiación, y el sacrificio por el pecado: porque el lugar es santo.

^42:14Cuando los sacerdotes entren, no saldrán del lugar santo al atrio de afuera, sino que allí dejarán sus vestimentas con que ministran: porque son santas; y se vestirán otras vestiduras, y así se acercarán a lo que es del pueblo”.

¶Lo opuesto   Jehová entrará en la casa por la puerta oriental (42:15 - 43:17)

^42:15Y luego que acabó las medidas de la Casa de adentro, me sacó por el camino de la puerta que miraba hacia el oriente, y lo midió todo alrededor. ^42:16Midió el lado oriental con la caña de medir, quinientas cañas de la caña de medir en derredor. ^42:17Midió al lado del norte, quinientas cañas de la caña de medir alrededor. ^42:18Midió al lado del sur, quinientas cañas de la caña de medir. ^42:19Rodeó al lado del occidente, y midió quinientas cañas de la caña de medir. ^42:20A los cuatro lados lo midió; tenía un muro todo alrededor de quinientas cañas de longitud, y quinientas cañas de anchura, para hacer separación entre el Santuario y el lugar profano.

^43:1Luego me llevó a la puerta, a la puerta que mira hacia el oriente; ^43:2y he aquí la gloria del Dios de Israel, que venía del oriente; y su voz era como el sonido de muchas aguas, y la tierra resplandecía a causa de su gloria. ^43:3Y el aspecto de la visión que vi era como aquella visión que vi cuando vine para destruir la ciudad; y las visiones eran como la visión que vi junto al río de Quebar; y caí sobre mi rostro.

^43:4Y la gloria de Jehová entró en la Casa por la vía de la puerta que daba hacia el oriente. ^43:5Y me alzó el Espíritu, y me metió en el atrio de adentro; y he aquí que la gloria de Jehová llenó la Casa.

^43:6Y oí a uno que me hablaba desde la Casa; y el varón estaba junto a mí, ^43:7y me dijo, “Hijo de hombre, éste es el lugar de mi trono, y el lugar de las plantas de mis pies, en el cual habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel para siempre; y nunca más profanará la casa de Israel mi santo Nombre, ni ellos ni sus reyes, con sus fornicaciones, ni con los cuerpos muertos de sus reyes en sus lugares altos. ^43:8Porque al poner ellos su umbral junto a mi umbral, y su poste junto a mi poste, y sólo una pared entre ellos y yo, así han contaminado mi santo Nombre con las abominaciones que han hecho; por tanto los consumí en mi furor. ^43:9Ahora, que echen lejos de mí su fornicación, y los cuerpos muertos de sus reyes, y habitaré en medio de ellos para siempre.

^43:10Tú, hijo de hombre, muestra a la casa de Israel esta Casa, y avergüéncense de sus pecados, y midan el diseño de ella. ^43:11Y si se avergonzaren de todo lo que han hecho, hazles entender la forma de la Casa, y su diseño, y sus salidas y sus entradas, y todas sus formas, y todas sus descripciones, y todas sus configuraciones, y todas sus leyes; y descríbelo delante de sus ojos, para que guarden toda su forma, y todas sus reglas, y las pongan por obra. ^43:12Ésta es la Ley de la Casa: Sobre la cumbre del monte, todo su término alrededor será santísimo. He aquí que ésta es la Ley de la Casa. ^43:13Y éstas son las medidas del altar por codos (cada codo de un codo y un palmo menor). La base, de un codo, y de un codo el ancho; y su remate por su borde alrededor, de un palmo menor. Éste será el podio del altar. ^43:14Y desde la base de sobre el suelo hasta el lugar de abajo, dos codos, y la anchura de un codo; y desde el lugar menor hasta el lugar mayor, cuatro codos, y la anchura de un codo. ^43:15Y el altar, de cuatro codos, y encima del altar, cuatro cuernos. ^43:16Y el altar tenía doce codos de largo, y doce de ancho, cuadrado a sus cuatro lados. ^43:17Y el área, de catorce codos de longitud y catorce de anchura en sus cuatro lados, y de medio codo el borde alrededor; y la base de un codo por todos lados; y sus gradas estaban al oriente”.

¶Lo opuesto   Jehová dio ordenanzas a Ezequiel para ofrecer sacrificios de animales en el altar para santificarlo (43:18 - 27)

^43:18Y me dijo, “Hijo de hombre, así dice Jehová el Señor, ‘Éstas son las Ordenanzas del altar el día en que sea hecho, para ofrecer sobre él holocausto, y para esparcir sobre él sangre. ^43:19A los sacerdotes levitas que son del linaje de Sadoc, que se acercan a mí para ministrarme,’ dice Jehová el Señor, ‘darás un becerro de la vacada para expiación. ^43:20Y tomarás de su sangre, y pondrás en los cuatro cuernos del altar, y en las cuatro esquinas del descanso, y en el borde alrededor; así lo limpiarás y purificarás. ^43:21Tomarás luego el becerro de la expiación, y lo quemarás conforme a la ley de la Casa, fuera del Santuario.

^43:22Y al segundo día ofrecerás un macho cabrío sin defecto, para expiación; y purificarán el altar como lo purificaron con el becerro.

^43:23Cuando acabes de expiar, ofrecerás un becerro de la vacada sin defecto, y un carnero sin tacha de la manada. ^43:24Y los ofrecerás delante de Jehová, y los sacerdotes echarán sal sobre ellos y los ofrecerán en holocausto a Jehová.

^43:25Por siete días sacrificarán un macho cabrío cada día en expiación; asimismo sacrificarán el becerro de la vacada y un carnero sin defecto del rebaño. ^43:26Por siete días harán expiación por el altar, y lo limpiarán, y así se consagrarán.

^43:27Y acabados estos días, del octavo día en adelante, los sacerdotes sacrificarán sobre el altar vuestros holocaustos y vuestras ofrendas de paz; y me seréis aceptos,’ dice Jehová el Señor”.

§El complemento   Conclusión: Servicio en el Templo del Milenio (44:1 - 31)

¶El complemento   Jehová reprendió a la casa de Israel por permitir que los gentiles contaminen el santuario de su casa (44:1 - 8)

^44:1Y me hizo volver hacia la puerta de afuera del Santuario, la cual mira hacia el oriente; y estaba cerrada. ^44:2Y me dijo Jehová, “Esta puerta estará cerrada; no se abrirá, ni entrará por ella hombre: porque Jehová Dios de Israel entró por ella; por tanto permanecerá cerrada.

^44:3Es para el Príncipe; el Príncipe, él se sentará en ella para comer pan delante de Jehová; por el camino del vestíbulo de la puerta entrará, y por el mismo camino saldrá”.

^44:4Y me llevó hacia la puerta del norte por delante de la Casa, y miré, y he aquí, la gloria de Jehová había llenado la Casa de Jehová; y caí sobre mi rostro. ^44:5Y me dijo Jehová, “Hijo de hombre, pon tu corazón, y mira con tus ojos, y oye con tus oídos todo lo que yo hablo contigo sobre todas las ordenanzas de la Casa de Jehová, y todas sus Leyes; y pon tu corazón a las entradas de la Casa, y a todas las salidas del Santuario.

^44:6Y dirás a los rebeldes, a la casa de Israel, ‘Así dice Jehová el Señor, ‘¡Ya basta de todas vuestras abominaciones, oh casa de Israel! ^44:7De traer extranjeros, incircuncisos de corazón e incircuncisos de carne, para estar en mi Santuario, y para contaminar mi Casa; de ofrecer mi pan, la grosura y la sangre; y de invalidar mi Pacto con todas vuestras abominaciones.

^44:8Y no habéis guardado las ordenanzas de mis cosas santas, sino que habéis puesto extranjeros como guardas de mis ordenanzas en mi Santuario’.

¶El complemento   Jehová bendijo a los hijos de Sadoc y les dio ordenanzas para el servicio en el Templo Milenial (44:9 - 31)

^44:9Así dice Jehová el Señor, ‘Ningún hijo de extranjero, incircunciso de corazón e incircunciso de carne, entrará en mi Santuario, de todos los hijos de extranjeros que están entre los hijos de Israel.

^44:10Y los levitas que se apartaron lejos de mí cuando Israel se descarrió, el cual se alejó de mí, yendo en pos de sus ídolos, llevarán su iniquidad. ^44:11Y serán ministros en mi Santuario, porteros a las puertas de la Casa, y sirvientes en la Casa; ellos matarán el holocausto y la víctima para el pueblo, y estarán delante de ellos para servirles. ^44:12Por cuanto les sirvieron delante de sus ídolos, y fueron a la casa de Israel por tropezadero de maldad; por tanto, he alzado mi mano contra ellos, y llevarán su iniquidad,’ dice Jehová el Señor. ^44:13‘No se acercarán a mí para servirme como sacerdotes, ni se acercarán a ninguna de mis cosas santas en el lugar santísimo; sino que llevarán su vergüenza, y las abominaciones que hicieron. ^44:14Los pondré, pues, por guardas de las ordenanzas del Templo para todo su servicio, y para todo lo que en él hubiere de hacerse.

^44:15Pero los sacerdotes levitas, hijos de Sadoc, que guardaron el ordenamiento de mi Santuario, cuando los hijos de Israel se desviaron de mí, ellos se acercarán a mí para ministrarme, y estarán delante de mí para ofrecerme la grosura y la sangre,’ dice Jehová el Señor. ^44:16‘Entrarán en mi Santuario, y se acercarán a mi mesa para servirme, y guardarán mis ordenanzas.

^44:17Y será que cuando entraren por las puertas del atrio interior, se vestirán de vestiduras de lino; no llevarán sobre ellos lana, cuando ministraren en las puertas del atrio de adentro y en el Templo. ^44:18Mitras de lino tendrán sobre sus cabezas, y calzoncillos de lino en sus lomos; no se ceñirán nada que los haga sudar. ^44:19Y cuando salgan al atrio exterior, al atrio de afuera, al pueblo, se despojarán de sus vestiduras con que ministraron, y las dejarán en las cámaras del Santuario, y se vestirán de otras vestimentas; para no santificar al pueblo con sus vestiduras. ^44:20Y no raparán su cabeza, ni dejarán crecer su cabello; sólo se recortarán el pelo de su cabeza. ^44:21Y ninguno de los sacerdotes beberá vino cuando haya de entrar en el atrio interior. ^44:22Ni viuda ni repudiada tomarán por esposa; sino que tomarán vírgenes del linaje de la casa de Israel, o viuda que fuere viuda de sacerdote. ^44:23Y enseñarán a mi pueblo a hacer diferencia entre lo santo y lo profano, y les enseñarán a discernir entre lo limpio y lo no limpio. ^44:24Y en el pleito ellos estarán para juzgar; conforme a mis derechos juzgarán; y mis Leyes y mis decretos guardarán en todas mis fiestas solemnes, y santificarán mis Sábados. ^44:25Y a hombre muerto no entrarán para contaminarse; pero por padre, o madre, o hijo, o hija, hermano o hermana que no haya tenido marido, sí podrán contaminarse. ^44:26Y después de su purificación, le contarán siete días. ^44:27Y el día que entrare al Santuario, al atrio de adentro, para ministrar en el Santuario, ofrecerá su expiación,’ dice Jehová el Señor.

^44:28‘Y será a ellos por heredad; yo seré su heredad; y no les daréis posesión en Israel: Soy su posesión. ^44:29Comerán la ofrenda y la expiación y el sacrificio por el pecado, comerán; y toda cosa dedicada en Israel, será de ellos. ^44:30Y las primicias de todos los primeros frutos de todo, y toda ofrenda de todo lo que se ofreciere de todas vuestras ofrendas, será de los sacerdotes; daréis asimismo las primicias de todas vuestras masas al sacerdote, para que haga reposar la bendición en vuestras casas. ^44:31Ninguna cosa mortecina, ni desgarrada, así de aves como de animales, comerán los sacerdotes’.
