^13:10And the disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” ^13:11He answered and said to them, “Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not given: ^13:12for whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance; but whosoever does not have, from him shall be taken away even that which he has. ^13:13Therefore I speak to them in parables, because they seeing do not see; and hearing they do not hear; neither do they understand. ^13:14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, ‘By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive: ^13:15for this people’s heart has become callous, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.’ ^13:16But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear: ^13:17for truly I say to you, that many Prophets and righteous men have desired to see what you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them. ^13:18Hear therefore the parable of the sower: ^13:19when anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom, and does not understand it, then the Wicked one comes, and catches away that which was sown in his heart: this is he who received seed by the wayside. ^13:20But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the Word, and immediately receives it with joy; ^13:21yet he has no root within himself, but is only temporary: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the Word, instantly he falls away. ^13:22He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the Word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, chokes the Word, and he produces no fruit. ^13:23But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the Word, and understands it, who also bears fruit, and brings forth: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

^13:24He put forth another parable to them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field; ^13:25but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. ^13:26But when the blade had sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then the tares also appeared. ^13:27So the servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then does it have tares?’ ^13:28He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Will you then that we go and gather them up?’ ^13:29But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them. ^13:30Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘Gather together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.’’”

^13:31He put forth another parable to them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; ^13:32which indeed is the least of all seeds; but when it has grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”

^13:33He spoke another parable to them: “The Kingdom of Heaven is similar to yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened.”

And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” ^13:37He answered and said to them, “He that sows the good seed is the Son of man; ^13:38the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom; but the tares are the children of the Wicked one; ^13:39the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the Age; and the reapers are the angels. ^13:40Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this Age. ^13:41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his Kingdom all things that offend and them who do iniquity, ^13:42and shall cast them into the Oven of Fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. ^13:43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

^13:44“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field; which when a man has found, he hides; and for joy of it goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. ^13:45Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant man, seeking beautiful pearls; ^13:46who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. ^13:47Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind; ^13:48which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. ^13:49So shall it be at the end of the Age: the angels shall come forth, and separate the wicked from among the just. ^13:50And they shall cast them into the Oven of Fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

^13:51Jesus says to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They say to him, “Yes, Lord.” ^13:52Then he said to them, “Therefore every scribe which is instructed to the Kingdom of Heaven, is like a man that is a householder, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.”

^14:1At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus; ^14:2and he said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.” ^14:3For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: ^14:4for John had said to him, “It is unlawful for you to have her.” ^14:5And when he would have put him to death, he was afraid of the multitude, because they counted him as a Prophet.

^14:6But when Herod’s birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. ^14:7Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. ^14:8And she, being before instructed by her mother, said, “Give me here John Baptist’s head on a platter.” ^14:9And the king was sorry; nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them who reclined to eat with him, he commanded it to be given her. ^14:10And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison; ^14:11and his head was brought on a platter, and given to the girl; and she brought it to her mother.

^14:12And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it; and they went and told Jesus.

^14:13When Jesus heard this, he left there by boat into a desert place apart; and when the people had heard of it, they followed him on foot out of the cities. ^14:14And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude; and he was moved with compassion toward them, and healed their sick.

^14:15And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, “This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.” ^14:16But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to leave; you give them something to eat.” ^14:17And they say to him, “We have here only five loaves of bread, and two fish.” ^14:18He said, “Bring them here to me.”

^14:19And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves, and the two fish; and looking up to Heaven, he blessed, and broke; and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. ^14:20And they all ate, and were filled; and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. ^14:21And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

^14:22And immediately Jesus compelled his disciples to get into a boat, and go before him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. ^14:23And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray; and when the evening came, he was there alone.

^14:24But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. ^14:25And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. ^14:26And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a spirit!” And they cried out for fear. ^14:27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer; I AM; be not afraid.” ^14:28And Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, invite me to come to you upon the water.” ^14:29And he said, “Come.” And when Peter came down out of the boat, he walked upon the water, to go to Jesus. ^14:30But when he saw the violent wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, “Lord, save me!” ^14:31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” ^14:32And when they came into the boat, the wind ceased. ^14:33Then they that were in the boat came and worshipped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

^15:1Then scribes and Pharisees, who were of Jerusalem, came to Jesus, saying, ^15:2“Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” ^15:3But he answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the Commandment of God by your man-made tradition? ^15:4For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and mother’; and, ‘He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.’ ^15:5But you say, ‘Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, ‘I am a gift, by whatsoever you might be profited by me’’; ^15:6and does not honor his father or his mother, he shall be free. In this way you have made the Commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. ^15:7You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ^15:8‘This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. ^15:9But in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commands of men.’”

^15:10And he called the multitude, and said to them, “Listen and understand: ^15:11that which goes into the mouth does not defile a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

^15:12Then his disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?” ^15:13But he answered and said, “Every plant, which my Heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up. ^15:14Let them alone; they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”

^15:15Then Peter answered and said to him, “Explain this parable to us.” ^15:16And Jesus said, “Are you also yet without understanding? ^15:17Do you not yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the latrine? ^15:18But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man: ^15:19for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, and blasphemies: ^15:20these are the things which defile a man. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

And his disciples came and urged him, saying, “Send her away: for she cries after us.” ^15:24But he answered and said, “I am not sent, except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

^15:25Then she came and worshipped him, saying, “Lord, help me!” ^15:26But he answered and said, “It is not fit to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to little dogs.” ^15:27And she said, “Truth, Lord; yet the little dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

^15:28Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith; be it to you even as you wish.” And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

And he healed them: ^15:31insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the mute to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see; and they glorified the God of Israel.

^15:32Then Jesus called his disciples to him, and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.” ^15:33And his disciples say to him, “Where can we get so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill such a great multitude?” ^15:34And Jesus says to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few little fish.”

^15:35And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. ^15:36And he took the seven loaves and the fish; and he gave thanks, and broke them, and gave to his disciples; and the disciples to the multitude.

Y los siervos le dijeron, ‘¿Quieres, pues, que vayamos y la arranquemos?’ ^13:29Pero él dijo, ‘No; no sea que al arrancar la cizaña, arranquéis también con ella el trigo. ^13:30Dejad crecer juntamente lo uno y lo otro hasta la siega; y en el tiempo de la siega yo diré a los segadores, ‘Recoged primero la cizaña, y atadla en manojos para quemarla; pero recoged el trigo en mi granero’’”.

^13:31Otra parábola les relató, diciendo, “El Reino del Cielo es semejante al grano de mostaza, que un hombre tomó y sembró en su campo. ^13:32El cual a la verdad es la más pequeña de todas las semillas; pero cuando ha crecido, es la mayor de las hierbas, y se hace árbol, tal, que vienen las aves del cielo y anidan en sus ramas”.

^13:33Otra parábola les dijo, “El Reino del Cielo es semejante a la levadura que tomó una mujer, y escondió en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo fue leudado”.

¶Lo opuesto   El juicio de las naciones al final de la Gran Tribulación traerá separación de los justos de los malvados para siempre (13:36 - 52)

^13:34Todas estas cosas habló Jesús por parábolas a la multitud;

y sin parábolas no les hablaba; ^13:35para que se cumpliese lo que fue dicho por el Profeta que dijo, “En parábolas abriré mi boca; Enunciaré cosas que han estado escondidas desde la fundación del mundo”.

^13:36Entonces Jesús despidió a la multitud, y se fue a casa, y sus discípulos vinieron a él, y le dijeron, “Decláranos la parábola de la cizaña del campo”. ^13:37Respondiendo él les dijo, “El que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del hombre; ^13:38el campo es el mundo; la buena semilla son los hijos del reino; y la cizaña son los hijos del malo. ^13:39El enemigo que la sembró es el diablo; la siega es el fin del mundo, y los segadores son los ángeles. ^13:40Así como la cizaña es recogida y quemada en el fuego; así será en el fin de este mundo. ^13:41El Hijo del hombre enviará a sus ángeles, y recogerán de su reino a todo lo que hace tropezar, y a los que hacen iniquidad, ^13:42y los lanzarán al horno de fuego; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes. ^13:43Entonces los justos resplandecerán como el sol en el reino de su Padre. El que tiene oídos para oír, déjale oír.

^13:44“Además, el Reino del Cielo es semejante a un tesoro escondido en un campo; el cual hallándolo un hombre, lo esconde, y gozoso por ello, va y vende todo lo que tiene, y compra aquel campo. ^13:45Además, el Reino del Cielo es semejante a un mercader que busca buenas perlas; ^13:46el cual, hallando una perla preciosa, fue y vendió todo lo que tenía, y la compró. ^13:47Además, el Reino del Cielo es semejante a una red, que fue echada en el mar, y atrapó de toda clase; ^13:48la cual llenándose, la sacaron a la orilla, y sentados, recogieron lo bueno en cestas, y lo malo echaron fuera. ^13:49Así será en el fin del mundo: los ángeles vendrán, y apartarán a los malos de entre los justos, ^13:50y los lanzarán en el horno de fuego; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes”.

^13:51Jesús les dice, “¿Habéis entendido todas estas cosas?”. Respondieron, “Sí, Señor”. ^13:52Entonces él les dijo, “Por eso todo escriba docto en el Reino del Cielo es semejante a un padre de familia, que saca de su tesoro cosas nuevas y cosas viejas”.

§El complemento   Cuerpo: Las personas fueron atraídas por la comida gratis y la curación de Jesús, pero tenían poco discernimiento espiritual (13:53 - 15:38)

¶Único   La gente de Nazaret rechazaron a Jesús como su Mesías y Juan el Bautista fue ejecutado por Herodes (13:53 - 14:12)

^13:53Y aconteció que acabando Jesús estas parábolas, se fue de allí. ^13:54Y venido a su tierra, les enseñaba en la sinagoga de ellos, de tal manera que ellos estaban atónitos, y decían, “¿De dónde tiene éste esta sabiduría y estos milagros? ^13:55¿No es éste el hijo del carpintero? ¿No se llama su madre María, y sus hermanos Jacobo y José, y Simón, y Judas? ^13:56¿Y no están todas sus hermanas con nosotros? ¿De dónde, pues, tiene éste todas estas cosas?”. ^13:57Y se escandalizaban en él.

Pero Jesús les dijo, “No hay Profeta sin honra, sino en su tierra y en su casa”. ^13:58Y no hizo allí muchos milagros, a causa de la incredulidad de ellos.

^14:1En aquel tiempo Herodes el tetrarca oyó de la fama de Jesús, ^14:2y dijo a sus siervos, “Éste es Juan el Bautista; él ha resucitado de los muertos, y por eso maravillas se manifiestan en él”. ^14:3Porque Herodes había prendido a Juan, y le había aprisionado y puesto en la cárcel, por causa de Herodías, esposa de Felipe su hermano, ^14:4porque Juan le decía, “No te es lícito tenerla”. ^14:5Y quería matarle, pero temía al pueblo: porque le tenían como a Profeta.

^14:6Pero celebrándose el cumpleaños de Herodes, la hija de Herodías danzó delante de ellos, y agradó a Herodes; ^14:7por lo cual él prometió con juramento darle cualquier cosa que ella pidiese. ^14:8Y ella, siendo instruida primero de su madre, dijo, “Dame aquí en un plato la cabeza de Juan el Bautista”. ^14:9Entonces el rey se entristeció, pero por causa del juramento, y de los que estaban sentados con él a la mesa, mandó que se le diese. ^14:10Y envió decapitar a Juan en la cárcel. ^14:11Y fue traída su cabeza en un plato, y dada a la damisela, y ésta la presentó a su madre.

^14:12Entonces vinieron sus discípulos, y tomaron el cuerpo y lo enterraron; y fueron y dieron las nuevas a Jesús.

¶El complemento   Las multitudes fueron atraídas a Jesús para su comida gratis, pero sus discípulos confiaban en él como el Hijo de Dios (14:13 - 33)

^14:13Y oyéndolo Jesús, se apartó de allí en una barca a un lugar desierto, apartado; y cuando el pueblo lo oyó, le siguió a pie de las ciudades. ^14:14Y saliendo Jesús, vio una gran multitud, y tuvo compasión de ellos, y sanó a los que de ellos estaban enfermos.

^14:15Y cuando fue la tarde, sus discípulos vinieron a él, diciendo, “Éste es un lugar desierto, y la hora es ya pasada; despide a la multitud para que vayan a las aldeas y compren para sí de comer”. ^14:16Pero Jesús les dijo, “No tienen necesidad de irse; dadles ustedes de comer”. ^14:17Y le dijeron, “No tenemos aquí sino cinco panes y dos peces”. ^14:18Y él les dijo, “Traédmelos acá”.

^14:19Entonces mandó a la multitud recostarse sobre la hierba, y tomó los cinco panes y los dos peces, y levantando los ojos al Cielo, bendijo, y partió y dio los panes a sus discípulos, y los discípulos a la multitud. ^14:20Y comieron todos, y se saciaron, y de los pedazos que sobraron, alzaron doce canastos llenos. ^14:21Y los que comieron fueron como cinco mil hombres, sin contar las mujeres y los niños.

^14:22Y luego Jesús hizo a sus discípulos entrar en la barca e ir delante de él al otro lado, mientras él despedía a la multitud. ^14:23Y despedida la multitud, subió al monte a orar aparte. Y cuando llegó la noche, estaba allí solo.

^14:24Y ya la barca estaba en medio del mar, azotada por las olas: porque el viento era contrario. ^14:25Y a la cuarta vigilia de la noche, Jesús vino a ellos andando sobre el mar. ^14:26Y los discípulos viéndole andar sobre el mar, se turbaron, diciendo, “¡Un fantasma!”. Y dieron voces de miedo. ^14:27Pero enseguida Jesús les habló, diciendo, “Tened ánimo; YO SOY. No temáis”. ^14:28Entonces le respondió Pedro, y dijo, “Señor, si eres tú, manda que yo vaya a ti sobre las aguas”. ^14:29Y él dijo, “Ven”. Y descendiendo Pedro de la barca, caminó sobre las aguas para ir a Jesús. ^14:30Pero viendo el viento fuerte, tuvo miedo; y comenzando a hundirse, dio voces, diciendo, “¡Señor, sálvame!”. ^14:31Y al instante Jesús, extendiendo su mano, trabó de él, y le dijo, “O usted de poca fe, ¿por qué dudaste?”. ^14:32Y cuando entraron en la barca, se calmó el viento. ^14:33Entonces los que estaban en la barca vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo, “Verdaderamente tú eres el Hijo de Dios”.

¶El complemento   Las multitudes fueron atraídas a Jesús para sus milagros de curación, pero los falsos maestros sólo estaban preocupados como las manos limpias (14:34 - 15:20)

^14:34Y cruzando al otro lado, vinieron a la tierra de Genezaret. ^14:35Y cuando le reconocieron los hombres de aquel lugar, enviaron por toda aquella tierra alrededor, y trajeron a él todos los enfermos, ^14:36y le rogaban que les dejase tocar tan sólo el borde de su manto; y todos los que le tocaban, quedaban sanos.

^15:1Entonces vinieron a Jesús ciertos escribas y fariseos de Jerusalén, diciendo, ^15:2“¿Por qué tus discípulos quebrantan la tradición de los ancianos? Pues no se lavan sus manos cuando comen pan”. ^15:3Pero él respondió y les dijo, “¿Por qué también ustedes quebrantáis el Mandamiento de Dios por vuestra tradición? ^15:4Porque Dios mandó, diciendo, ‘Honra a tu padre y a tu madre’, y, ‘El que maldijere a su padre o a su madre, muera de muerte’. ^15:5Pero ustedes decís, ‘Cualquiera que dijere a su padre o a su madre, ‘Es mi ofrenda todo aquello con que pudiera ayudarte’’; ^15:6y no honra a su padre o a su madre, será libre. Así habéis invalidado el Mandamiento de Dios por vuestra tradición. ^15:7Hipócritas, bien profetizó de ustedes Isaías, diciendo, ^15:8‘Este pueblo se acerca a mí con su boca, y de labios me honra, pero su corazón lejos está de mí. ^15:9Pero en vano me honran; enseñando como doctrinas mandamientos de hombres’.”

^15:10Y llamó a sí a la multitud, y les dijo, “Oíd, y entended: ^15:11no lo que entra en la boca contamina al hombre; sino lo que sale de la boca, esto contamina al hombre”.

^15:12Entonces vinieron los discípulos, y le dijeron, “¿Sabes que los fariseos se ofendieron cuando oyeron esta palabra?”. ^15:13Pero él respondió y dijo, “Toda planta que no plantó mi Padre celestial, será desarraigada. Déjalos solos; ellos son ciegos guías de ciegos; y si el ciego guían al ciego, ambos caerán en la zanja”.

^15:15Entonces respondió Pedro, y le dijo, “Decláranos esta parábola”. ^15:16Y Jesús les dijo, “¿También ustedes estáis aún sin entendimiento? ^15:17¿Aún no entendéis que todo lo que entra en la boca va al vientre, y es arrojado en la letrina? ^15:18Pero lo que sale de la boca, del corazón sale, y esto contamina al hombre: ^15:19porque del corazón salen los malos pensamientos, homicidios, adulterios, fornicaciones, hurtos, falsos testimonios, blasfemias. ^15:20Estas cosas son las que contaminan al hombre, pero el comer con las manos sin lavar no contamina al hombre”.

¶Lo opuesto   Jesús recompensó la persistente fe de la mujer cananea en él después haciendo ella esperar (15:21 - 28)

^15:21Y Jesús salió de allí, y entró en el territorio de Tiro y Sidón.

^15:22Y, he aquí, una mujer cananea que había salido de aquella región clamaba, diciéndole, “Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí, mi hija es gravemente atormentada de un demonio”. ^15:23Pero él no le respondió palabra.

Y sus discípulos vinieron y le rogaron, diciendo, “Despídela, pues da voces tras nosotros”. ^15:24Y él respondiendo, dijo, “No soy enviado sino a las ovejas perdidas de la casa de Israel”.

^15:25Entonces ella vino y le adoró, diciendo, “¡Señor, socórreme!”. ^15:26Pero él respondió, y dijo, “No está bien tomar el pan de los hijos, y echarlo a los perrillos”. ^15:27Y ella dijo, “Sí, Señor, pero los perrillos comen de las migajas que caen de la mesa de sus señores”.

^15:28Entonces respondiendo Jesús, le dijo, “¡Oh mujer, grande es tu fe! Sea hecho contigo como quieres”. Y su hija fue sanada desde aquella hora.

¶Lo opuesto   Jesús recompensado la fe persistente de la multitud y les alimentó con 7 barras de pan y unos pocos pececillos después de un retraso de tres días en el desierto (15:29 - 38)

^15:29Y partiendo Jesús de allí, vino junto al mar de Galilea; y subiendo al monte, se sentó allí.

^15:30Y grandes multitudes vinieron a él, trayendo consigo, a cojos, ciegos, mudos, mancos, y muchos otros, y los pusieron a los pies de Jesús. ^15:31Y los sanó, de manera que la multitud se maravillaba, viendo a los mudos hablar, a los mancos ser sanados, a los cojos andar, y a los ciegos ver; y glorificaban al Dios de Israel.

^15:32Y llamando Jesús a sus discípulos, dijo, “Tengo compasión de la multitud: porque hace ya tres días que están conmigo, y no tienen qué comer; y enviarlos en ayunas no quiero, no sea que desmayen en el camino”. ^15:33Entonces sus discípulos le dijeron, “¿De dónde obtendremos tanto pan en el desierto, para saciar a tan grande multitud?”. ^15:34Y Jesús les dijo, “¿Cuántos panes tenéis?”. Y ellos dijeron, “Siete, y unos cuantos pececillos”.

^15:35Y mandó a la multitud que se recostasen en tierra. ^15:36Y tomando los siete panes y los peces, habiendo dado gracias, los partió y dio a sus discípulos, y los discípulos a la multitud.

^15:37Y todos comieron, y se saciaron; y recogieron lo que sobró de los pedazos, siete canastos llenos. ^15:38Y los que habían comido fueron cuatro mil hombres, además de las mujeres y los niños.

§Único   Conclusión: El discernimiento de la verdad espiritual fue en falta entre ambos incrédulos y discípulos de Cristo (15:39 - 16:12)

¶El complemento   Jesús reprendió a los fariseos y los saduceos para su incredulidad en Él, a pesar de todos los milagros que Él había hecho antes ellos (15:39 - 16:4)

^15:39Entonces, despedida la multitud;

y él entró en una barca, y vino a las costas de Magdala.

^16:1Y vinieron los fariseos y los saduceos para tentarle, y le pidieron que les mostrase señal del Cielo. ^16:2Pero él respondiendo, les dijo, “Cuando anochece, decís, ‘Hará buen tiempo: porque el cielo tiene arreboles’. ^16:3Y por la mañana, ‘Hoy habrá tempestad: porque el cielo tiene arreboles y está nublado’.

“¡O Hipócritas! Que sabéis discernir la faz del cielo; ¿Pero las señales de los tiempos no podéis?

^16:4“La generación perversa y adúltera demanda señal; pero señal no le será dada, sino la señal del Profeta Jonás”. Y dejándolos, se fue.

¶El complemento   Jesús reprendió a la falta de comprensión en sus discípulos acerca de las malas doctrinas de los fariseos y saduceos (16:5 - 12)

^16:5Y viniendo los discípulos al otro lado, se habían olvidado de traer pan.

^16:6Entonces Jesús les dijo, “Mirad, y guardaos de la levadura de los fariseos y de los saduceos”. ^16:7Y ellos hablaban entre sí, diciendo, “Esto dice porque no trajimos pan”.

^16:8Y Jesús entendiéndolo, les dijo, “¿Por qué discutís entre ustedes, hombres de poca fe, que no trajisteis pan? ^16:9¿No entendéis aún, ni os acordáis de los cinco panes entre cinco mil, y cuántas cestas alzasteis? ^16:10¿Ni de los siete panes entre cuatro mil, y cuántas canastas recogisteis?

^16:11“¿Cómo es que no entendéis que no por el pan os dije, que os guardaseis de la levadura de los fariseos y de los saduceos?”.

^16:12Entonces entendieron que no les había dicho que se guardasen de la levadura de pan, sino de la doctrina de los fariseos y de los saduceos.
