^12:6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether it is prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; ^12:7or ministry, let us wait on our ministering; or he that teaches, on teaching; ^12:8or he that exhorts, on exhortation; he that gives, let him do it with sincerity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

^12:9Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cling to that which is good. ^12:10Be tenderly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another. ^12:11Not lagging in enthusiasm, but fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; ^12:12rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing steadfastly in prayer; ^12:13distributing to the necessity of saints: given to hospitality.

^12:14Bless them which persecute you; bless, and curse not. ^12:15Rejoice with them that rejoice, and weep with them that weep. ^12:16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

^12:17Repay no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. ^12:18If it is possible, as much as lies in you, live peacefully with all men.

^12:19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give room to wrath: for it is written, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” ^12:20Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. ^12:21Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

^13:3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Will you then not be afraid of the authority? Do that which is good, and you shall have praise of the same: ^13:4for he is the minister of God to you for good.

But if you do that which is evil, be afraid: for he does not carry the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil.

^13:5Therefore it is necessary to be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience’ sake: ^13:6for this reason also pay taxes, because they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

^13:7Render therefore to all their dues: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

¶Opposite   Live for the future and not in the past (13:8 - 14)

^13:8Do not owe anything to anyone, but to love one another: for he that selflessly loves another has fulfilled the Law: ^13:9for it is written: “You shall not commit adultery; you shall not murder; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; you shall not covet”; and if there is any other Commandment, it is summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

^13:10Love does no evil to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.

^13:11And, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our deliverance nearer than when we first believed in Christ. ^13:12The night is far spent, the Day is near; therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

^13:13Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in partying and drunkenness, not in fornication and licentiousness, not in strife and envying.

^13:14But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make a plan for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

^14:1Receive him that is weak in the Faith, but not to doubtful disputations: ^14:2for one believes that he may eat all things; and another, who is weak, eats only vegetables.

^14:3Let not him that eats all things despise him that does not eat; and let not him who does not eat judge him that eats all things: for God has received him. ^14:4Who are you that judges another man’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.

^14:5One man esteems one day above another; another esteems every day the same. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. ^14:6He that observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he that does not observes the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. ^14:7For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself: ^14:8for whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s: ^14:9for to this end Christ both died, and rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

^14:10But why do you judge your strong brother? Or why do you despise your weak brother? For we shall all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ: ^14:11for it is written, “‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.’” ^14:12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. ^14:13Therefore let us not judge one another anymore; but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

^14:14I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him that esteems anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. ^14:15But if your brother is grieved with your food, you are no longer walking according to selfless love. Do not destroy him with your food, for whom Christ died.

^14:16Therefore, do not allow your good to be spoken of as evil: ^14:17for the Kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit: ^14:18for he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. ^14:19Therefore let us follow after the things which make for peace, and things by which one may strengthen another in the Lord.

^14:20Destroy not the work of God over food; all things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eats with offense. ^14:21It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

^14:22Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that does not condemn himself in that thing which he allows. ^14:23And he that doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

^15:1We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak believers, and not to please ourselves. ^15:2Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification: ^15:3for even Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, “The reproaches of them that reproached you fell on me.” ^15:4For whatsoever was written before was written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have assurance.

^15:5Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus, ^15:6that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. ^15:7Therefore receive one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

^15:8Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers, ^15:9and also that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy: as it is written, “For this reason will I confess to you among the Gentiles, and sing to your Name.” ^15:10And again he says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” ^15:11And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles”; and “Laud him, all you people.” ^15:12And again, Isaiah says, “There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles: in him shall the Gentiles trust.”

^15:13Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in assurance, through the power of the Holy Spirit. ^15:14And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able also to admonish one another.

^15:15Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly to you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me by God, ^15:16that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the Gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. ^15:17I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God: ^15:18for I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not done through me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, ^15:19through mighty signs and wonders, and by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem, and round about to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Gospel of Christ.

^15:20Moreover, in this manner have I striven to preach the Gospel: not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation; ^15:21but as it is written, “To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.” ^15:22For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you. ^15:23But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you, ^15:24whenever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way there by you, if I may first enjoy your company.

^15:25But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints: ^15:26for it has pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. ^15:27It has pleased them truly, and their debtors they are: for if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in carnal things. ^15:28When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. ^15:29And I am sure that, when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ.

^16:17Now I exhort you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have now learned; and avoid them: ^16:18for they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth words and flattery deceive the hearts of the naive.

^16:19For your obedience has come abroad to all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf; but yet I would have you wise to that which is good, and blameless concerning evil.

^16:20And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

^13:5Por tanto, es necesario que os sujetéis, no sólo por la ira, sino también por causa de la conciencia. ^13:6Por esta razón también pagan impuestos, porque son los ministros de Dios, atendiendo continuamente sobre esta muy cosa.

^13:7Pagad, pues, a todos lo que debéis; al que tributo, tributo; al que impuesto, impuesto; al que temor, temor; al que honra, honra.

^14:1Recibid al débil en la fe, pero no para contender sobre opiniones: ^14:2porque uno cree que se ha de comer de todo, otro, que es débil, come legumbres.

^14:3El que come, no menosprecie al que no come, y el que no come, no juzgue al que come: porque Dios le ha recibido. ^14:4¿Tú quién eres, que juzgas al siervo ajeno? Para su propio señor está en pie, o cae; pero estará firme, que poderoso es Dios para hacerle estar firme.

^14:5Uno hace diferencia entre un día y otro; otro juzga iguales todos los días. Cada uno esté plenamente seguro en su propia mente. ^14:6El que hace caso del día, para el Señor lo hace; y el que no hace caso del día, para el Señor no lo hace. El que come, para el Señor come: porque da gracias a Dios; y el que no come, para el Señor no come, y da gracias a Dios: ^14:7porque ninguno de nosotros vive para sí, y ninguno muere para sí. ^14:8Pues si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos; y si morimos, para el Señor morimos. Así que, ya sea que vivamos, o que muramos, del Señor somos: ^14:9porque Cristo para esto murió, y resucitó, y volvió a vivir, para ser Señor así de los muertos, como de los que viven.

^14:10Pero tú, ¿por qué juzgas a tu hermano? O tú también, ¿por qué menosprecias a tu hermano? Porque todos compareceremos ante el tribunal de Cristo: ^14:11porque escrito está, “‘Vivo yo,’ dice [Jehová], ‘que ante mí toda rodilla se doblará, y toda lengua confesará a Dios’”. ^14:12Por lo que entonces, cada uno de nosotros dará cuenta de sí mismo a Dios. ^14:13Por tanto, ya no nos juzguemos los unos a los otros, antes bien, juzgad esto; que nadie ponga tropiezo u ocasión de caer al hermano.

^14:14Yo sé, y confío en el Señor Jesús, que nada es inmundo en sí mismo, pero para aquel que piensa ser inmunda alguna cosa, para él es inmunda. ^14:15Pero si por causa de tu comida, tu hermano es contristado, ya no andas conforme al amor. No destruyas con tu comida a aquel por el cual Cristo murió.

^14:16Por tanto, no permitas que tu bien para ser considerado malvado: ^14:17porque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida; sino justicia, y paz, y gozo en el Espíritu Santo: ^14:18porque el que en estas cosas sirve a Cristo, agrada a Dios, y es aprobado por los hombres. ^14:19Así que, sigamos lo que ayuda a la paz y a la edificación de los unos a los otros.

^14:20No destruyas la obra de Dios por causa de la comida. Todas las cosas a la verdad son limpias; pero malo es al hombre hacer tropezar con lo que come. ^14:21Bueno es no comer carne, ni beber vino, ni nada en que tu hermano tropiece, o se ofenda, o sea debilitado.

^14:22¿Tienes tú fe? Tenla para contigo delante de Dios. Bienaventurado el que no se condena a sí mismo con lo que aprueba. ^14:23Pero el que duda, si come, se condena: porque él no come de la fe, y todo lo que no es de fe, es pecado.

^15:1Así que, los que somos fuertes debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los débiles, y no agradarnos a nosotros mismos. ^15:2Cada uno de nosotros agrade a su prójimo para su bien, para edificación: ^15:3porque ni aun Cristo se agradó a sí mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: “Los vituperios de los que te vituperaban, cayeron sobre mí”. ^15:4Porque las cosas que antes fueron escritas, para nuestra enseñanza fueron escritas; para que por la paciencia y consolación de las Escrituras, tengamos esperanza.

^15:5Pero el Dios de la paciencia y de la consolación os dé que entre ustedes seáis de un mismo sentir según Cristo Jesús; ^15:6para que unánimes, y a una voz glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo. ^15:7Por tanto, recibíos los unos a los otros, como también Cristo nos recibió para gloria de Dios.

¶Único   Ayuda a los misioneros a alcanzar otras partes del mundo para Cristo (14:1 - 13)

^15:8Digo, pues, que Cristo Jesús fue ministro de la circuncisión por la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas hechas a los padres, ^15:9y para que los gentiles glorifiquen a Dios por su misericordia, como está escrito, “Por tanto, yo te confesaré entre los gentiles, y cantaré a tu Nombre”. ^15:10Y otra vez dice, “Regocijaos, gentiles, con su pueblo”. ^15:11Y otra vez, “Alabad [Jehová] todos los gentiles”, y “dadle gloria todos los pueblos”. ^15:12Y otra vez Isaías dice, “Saldrá raíz de Isaí, y el que se levantará para reinar sobre los gentiles: los gentiles esperarán en él”.

^15:13Y el Dios de esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz en el creer, para que abundéis en esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo. ^15:14Y también yo mismo tengo confianza de ustedes, hermanos míos, que también ustedes estáis llenos de bondad, llenos de todo conocimiento, de manera que podéis amonestaros los unos a los otros.

^15:15Pero hermanos, os he escrito en parte osadamente, como recordándoos; por la gracia que de Dios me es dada, ^15:16para ser ministro de Jesús Cristo a los gentiles, ministrando el Evangelio de Dios, para que la ofrenda de los gentiles sea acepta, santificada por el Espíritu Santo. ^15:17Tengo, pues, de qué gloriarme en Cristo Jesús en lo que a Dios toca: ^15:18porque no osaría hablar de alguna cosa que Cristo no haya hecho por mí, para hacer obedientes a los gentiles, con palabra y con obra, ^15:19con potencia de milagros y prodigios, por el poder del Espíritu de Dios; de manera que desde Jerusalén, y los alrededores hasta Ilírico, todo lo he llenado del Evangelio de Cristo.

^15:20Y de esta manera me esforcé a predicar el Evangelio, no donde Cristo fuese ya nombrado, para no edificar sobre fundamento ajeno, ^15:21sino, como está escrito, “Aquellos a los que no se habló de él, verán; Y los que no han oído, entenderán”. ^15:22Por esta causa muchas veces he sido impedido de venir a ustedes. ^15:23Pero ahora, no teniendo más lugar en estas regiones, y deseando ir a ustedes por ya muchos años, ^15:24cuando partiere para España, iré a ustedes: porque espero veros en mi jornada, y que seré encaminado por ustedes hacia allá, si en parte primero hubiere disfrutado de vuestra compañía.

^15:25Pero ahora voy a Jerusalén para ministrar a los santos: ^15:26porque los de Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron a bien hacer una contribución para los santos pobres que están en Jerusalén. ^15:27Pues les pareció bueno, y son deudores a ellos: porque si los gentiles han sido hechos partícipes de sus bienes espirituales, deben también ellos servirles en los carnales. ^15:28Así que, cuando haya cumplido esto, y les haya entregado este fruto, pasaré entre ustedes rumbo a España. ^15:29Y estoy seguro que cuando venga a ustedes, vendré en plenitud de bendición del Evangelio de Cristo.

§El complemento   Conclusión: Evita a los herejes y da gloria a Dios por el Evangelio de Cristo (14:1 - 13)

¶El complemento   Evite a aquellos que predican un mensaje que es contrario a las Escrituras (15:30 - 16:20)

^15:30Y os ruego hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo, y por el amor del Espíritu, que os esforcéis conmigo en oración por mí a Dios; ^15:31para que sea librado de los incrédulos que están en Judea, y la ofrenda de mi servicio la cual traigo para Jerusalén sea acepta a los santos, ^15:32para que con gozo llegue a ustedes por la voluntad de Dios, y que sea recreado juntamente con ustedes. ^15:33Y el Dios de paz sea con todos ustedes. Amén.

^16:1Y os encomiendo a nuestra hermana Febe, la cual es sierva de la Asamblea que está en Cencrea; ^16:2que la recibáis en el Señor, como es digno de los santos, y que la ayudéis en cualquier cosa que necesite de ustedes: porque ella ha ayudado a muchos, y a mí mismo también. ^16:3Saludad a Priscila y a Aquila, mis colaboradores en Cristo Jesús; ^16:4que pusieron sus cuellos por mi vida; a los cuales doy gracias, no sólo yo, sino también todas las Asambleas de los gentiles. ^16:5Saludad también a la Asamblea que está en su casa. Saludad a Epeneto, amado mío, que es de los primeros frutos de Acaya para Cristo. ^16:6Saludad a María, la cual ha trabajado mucho por nosotros. ^16:7Saludad a Andrónico y a Junia, mis parientes y mis compañeros de prisiones, que son insignes entre los Apóstoles; y que también fueron antes de mí en Cristo. ^16:8Saludad a Amplias, amado mío en el Señor. ^16:9Saludad a Urbano, nuestro ayudador en Cristo, y a Estaquis, amado mío. ^16:10Saludad a Apeles, aprobado en Cristo. Saludad a los de la casa de Aristóbulo. ^16:11Saludad a Herodión, mi pariente. Saludad a los de la casa de Narciso, que están en el Señor. ^16:12Saludad a Trifena y a Trifosa, las cuales trabajan en el Señor. Saludad a la amada Pérsida, la cual ha trabajado mucho en el Señor. ^16:13Saludad a Rufo, escogido en el Señor, y a su madre y mía. ^16:14Saludad a Asíncrito, a Flegonte, a Hermas, a Patrobas, a Hermes, y a los hermanos que están con ellos. ^16:15Saludad a Filólogo y a Julia, a Nereo y a su hermana, y a Olimpas, y a todos los santos que están con ellos. ^16:16Saludaos unos a otros con ósculo santo. Os saludan las Asambleas de Cristo.

^16:17Y os ruego hermanos, que señaléis a aquellos que causan divisiones y escándalos en contra de la doctrina que ustedes habéis aprendido; y que os apartéis de ellos: ^16:18porque los tales, no sirven a nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo, sino a sus propios vientres; y con palabras suaves y lisonjas engañan los corazones de los simples:

^16:19porque vuestra obediencia ha venido a ser notoria a todos. Así que me gozo de ustedes; pero quiero que seáis sabios para el bien, y simples para el mal.

^16:20Y el Dios de paz aplastará en breve a Satanás bajo vuestros pies. La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo sea con ustedes. Amén.

¶El complemento   Da gloria a Dios por el Evangelio de Cristo (16:21 - 27)

^16:21Os saludan Timoteo mi colaborador, y Lucio y Jasón, y Sosípater, mis parientes. ^16:22Yo Tercio, que escribí esta carta, os saludo en el Señor. ^16:23Os saluda Gayo, hospedador mío y de toda la Asamblea. Os saluda Erasto, tesorero de la ciudad, y el hermano Cuarto.

^16:24La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo sea con todos ustedes. Amén.

^16:25Y al que tiene poder para confirmaros según mi Evangelio y la predicación de Jesús Cristo, según la revelación del misterio encubierto desde tiempos eternos;

^16:26pero ahora es hecho manifiesto, y por las Escrituras de los Profetas, según el Mandato del Dios Eterno, dado a conocer a todas las naciones para obediencia de la fe:

^16:27al solo Dios sabio, sea gloria por Jesús Cristo para siempre. Amén.
