^1:13In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation;

in whom also, having believed in Christ, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, ^1:14which is the down-payment of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.

^1:20which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly places; ^1:21far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named: not only in this Age, but also in that which is to come.

^1:22And he has put all things under his feet, and given him to be the head over all things to the Assembly; ^1:23which is his Body, the fullness of him that fills all in all.

^2:1And you, being dead in trespasses and sins; ^2:2in which in time past you walked according to the course of this Age, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience; ^2:3among whom also we all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

^2:4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, ^2:5even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been permanently saved); ^2:6and has raised us up together; and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ^2:7that in the Ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ^2:8For by grace you have been permanently saved through faith; and that faith is not out of yourselves: it is the gift of God; ^2:9not of our own works, lest any man should boast: ^2:10for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

^2:11Therefore remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands, ^2:12that at that time you were separated from Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the Covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. ^2:13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away were made near by the blood of Christ: ^2:14for he himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between them; ^2:15having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the Law of Commandments contained in ordinances, in order to make in himself of two one new man: so making peace; ^2:16and also that he might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity by it. ^2:17And he came and preached peace to you who were far away, and to them that were near: ^2:18for through him we both have access by the same Spirit to the Father.

^2:19Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; ^2:20and are being built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; ^2:21in whom all the building fitly framed together is growing into a holy Temple in the Lord; ^2:22in whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.

^3:1For this reason I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, ^3:2if you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me toward you: ^3:3how that by revelation he made known to me the mystery (as I wrote before in few words; ^3:4whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ); ^3:5which in other Ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy Apostles and Prophets by the Spirit, ^3:6that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel; ^3:7of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of his power. ^3:8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; ^3:9and to make all mankind see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world has been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ; ^3:10to the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly places the manifold wisdom of God might be known through the Assembly, ^3:11according to the Eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord; ^3:12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

^3:13Therefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. ^3:14For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ^3:15of whom every family in Heaven and earth is named, ^3:16that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; ^3:17that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, ^3:18may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; ^3:19and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

^3:20Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, ^3:21to him be glory in the Assembly in Christ Jesus into all the generations of the Age of the Ages. Amen.

¶Complement   Every born again believer is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ (4:1 - 16)

^4:1I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you that you walk worthy of the vocation in which you are called, ^4:2with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; ^4:3endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ^4:4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; ^4:5one Lord, one Faith, one baptism; ^4:6one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

^4:7But to every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. ^4:8Therefore he says, “When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”

^4:9Now this phrase, “He ascended” — what does it mean but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? ^4:10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

^4:11And he gave some, the calling of Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers: ^4:12for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the building up of the body of Christ; ^4:13until we all come into the unity of the Faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, into a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

^4:14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; ^4:15but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, that is, Christ; ^4:16from whom the whole body fitly joined together and knit together by that which every joint supplies, according to the effective working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body to the building up of itself in love.

¶Complement   Therefore, put off the works of the old nature which is corrupt (4:17 - 5:21)

^4:17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind; ^4:18having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; ^4:19who being past feeling have given themselves over to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

^4:20But you have not so learned Christ, ^4:21if it is true that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus, ^4:22that you are to put off concerning the former behavior the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. ^4:23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ^4:24and that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

^4:25Therefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. ^4:26Be angry, but sin not; let not the sun go down upon your wrath; ^4:27neither give an opportunity to the devil. ^4:28Let him that stole steal no longer; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, so that he may have a gift to share with the one having need. ^4:29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of building up others, that it may minister grace to the hearers. ^4:30And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in which you were sealed until the Day of Redemption. ^4:31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. ^4:32And be kind one to another, tenderhearted: forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.

^5:1Therefore be followers of God, as dear children; ^5:2and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. ^5:3But as for fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becoming saints; ^5:4neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not good; but rather giving of thanks. ^5:5For you know this, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater) has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God. ^5:6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the children of disobedience. ^5:7Therefore do not be partakers with them: ^5:8for at one time you were darkness; but now you are Light in the Lord. Walk as children of Light ^5:9(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth); ^5:10testing all things to see what is acceptable to the Lord. ^5:11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather rebuke them: ^5:12for it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. ^5:13But all things that are reproved are exposed by the Light: for whatsoever exposes is Light. ^5:14Therefore he says, “Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you Light.”

^5:15See then that you walk circumspectly; not as fools, but as wise; ^5:16redeeming the time, because the days are evil. ^5:17Therefore be not unwise; but understanding what is the will of the Lord. ^5:18And be not drunk with wine (in which is excess), but be continually filled with the Spirit: ^5:19speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; ^5:20giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ: ^5:21submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

¶Unique   Love your spouse and children, and be a testimony for Christ at your workplace (5:22 - 6:9)

^5:22Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord: ^5:23for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the Assembly; and he is the Savior of the Body. ^5:24Therefore as the Assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

^5:25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Assembly, and gave himself for it; ^5:26that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, ^5:27that he might present it to himself a glorious Assembly, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. ^5:28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself: ^5:29for no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord nourishes and cherishes the Assembly: ^5:30for we are parts of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. ^5:31“For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they two shall be one flesh.” ^5:32This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the Assembly. ^5:33Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

^6:1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. ^6:2“Honor your father and mother” (which is the first Commandment with promise): ^6:3“that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”

^6:4And, you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

^6:5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; ^6:6not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; ^6:7with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; ^6:8knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he is slave or free. ^6:9And, you masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master is also in Heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

^6:14Stand therefore, having your waist girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ^6:15and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

^6:16Above all, having taken up the shield of faith (by which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the Wicked one), ^6:17also take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God): ^6:18praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit;

and in accordance with this, continually watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

^6:19And pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Gospel ^6:20(for which I am an ambassador in chains), that I may speak boldly in it, as I ought to speak.

^6:21But that you also may know my affairs and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things; ^6:22whom I have sent to you for the same purpose, that you might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

^2:11Por tanto, acordaos que en otro tiempo ustedes, los gentiles en la carne, erais llamados incircuncisión por la que es llamada circuncisión hecha por mano en la carne; ^2:12que en aquel tiempo estabais sin Cristo, alejados de la ciudadanía de Israel y extranjeros a los Pactos de la promesa, sin esperanza y sin Dios en el mundo. ^2:13Pero ahora en Cristo Jesús, ustedes que en otro tiempo estabais lejos, habéis sido hechos cercanos por la sangre de Cristo: ^2:14porque él es nuestra paz, que de ambos hizo uno, derribando la pared intermedia de separación; ^2:15aboliendo en su carne las enemistades, la Ley de los Mandamientos contenidos en ordenanzas, para hacer en sí mismo de los dos un nuevo hombre, haciendo así la paz; ^2:16y reconciliar con Dios a ambos en un cuerpo mediante la cruz, matando en sí mismo las enemistades. ^2:17Y vino, y predicó la paz a ustedes que estabais lejos, y a los que estaban cerca: ^2:18porque por medio de él ambos tenemos entrada por un mismo Espíritu al Padre.

^2:19Así que ustedes ya no son extraños y extranjeros, sino conciudadanos de los santos, y de la familia de Dios; ^2:20edificados sobre el fundamento de los Apóstoles y Profetas, Jesús Cristo mismo siendo la principal piedra del ángulo; ^2:21en quien todo el edificio, bien coordinado, va creciendo para ser un templo santo en el Señor; ^2:22en quien también ustedes sois juntamente edificados, para morada de Dios en el Espíritu.

^3:1Por esta causa yo Pablo, prisionero de Jesús Cristo por ustedes los gentiles, ^3:2si es que habéis oído de la dispensación de la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dada para con ustedes; ^3:3que por revelación me hizo conocer el misterio, como antes escribí en breve, ^3:4leyendo lo cual, podéis entender mi conocimiento en el misterio de Cristo, ^3:5misterio que en otras edades no se dio a conocer a los hijos de los hombres, como ahora es revelado a sus santos Apóstoles y Profetas por el Espíritu; ^3:6que los gentiles sean coherederos y miembros del mismo cuerpo, y copartícipes de su promesa en Cristo por el Evangelio, ^3:7del cual yo fui hecho ministro según el don de la gracia de Dios dado a mí por la operación de su poder. ^3:8A mí, que soy menos que el más pequeño de todos los santos, me es dada esta gracia de predicar entre los gentiles el Evangelio de las inescrutables riquezas de Cristo; ^3:9y de aclarar a todos cuál es la comunión del misterio escondido desde el principio del mundo en Dios, que creó todas las cosas por Jesús Cristo; ^3:10para que la multiforme sabiduría de Dios sea dada a conocer por la Asamblea a los principados y potestades en los lugares celestiales, ^3:11conforme al propósito eterno que hizo en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro; ^3:12en quien tenemos seguridad y acceso con confianza por medio de la fe de él.

^3:13Por lo cual pido que no desmayéis a causa de mis tribulaciones por ustedes, las cuales son vuestra gloria. ^3:14Por esta causa doblo mis rodillas ante el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo, ^3:15de quien es nombrada toda la familia en el Cielo y en la tierra, ^3:16para que os dé, conforme a las riquezas de su gloria, el ser fortalecidos con poder en el hombre interior por su Espíritu; ^3:17que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones; para que, arraigados y fundados en amor, ^3:18podáis comprender con todos los santos cuál sea la anchura, la longitud, la profundidad y la altura; ^3:19y de conocer el amor de Cristo, que excede a todo conocimiento; para que seáis llenos de toda la plenitud de Dios.

^3:20Y a Aquél que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos, o entendemos, según el poder que opera en nosotros, ^3:21a él sea gloria en la Asamblea en Cristo Jesús, por todas las edades, por siempre jamás. Amén.

¶El complemento    Cada creyente nacido de nuevo recibe la gracia conforme a la medida del don de Cristo (4:1 - 16)

^4:1Yo pues, preso en el Señor, os ruego que andéis como es digno del llamamiento con que sois llamados; ^4:2con toda humildad y mansedumbre, con paciencia soportándoos los unos a los otros en amor, ^4:3solícitos en guardar la unidad del Espíritu en el vínculo de la paz. ^4:4Hay un cuerpo, y un Espíritu, como sois también llamados en una misma esperanza de vuestro llamamiento. ^4:5Un Señor, una fe, un bautismo, ^4:6un Dios y Padre de todos, el cual es sobre todo, y por todo, y en todos ustedes.

^4:7Pero a cada uno de nosotros es dada la gracia conforme a la medida del don de Cristo. ^4:8Por lo tanto, dice, “Cuando él ascendió sobre alto, él llevó cautiva la cautividad, y dio dones a los hombres”.

^4:9Ahora esta frase, “Él ascendió”: ¿qué significa, pero que él también descendió primero a las partes más bajas de la tierra? ^4:10El que descendió también es el mismo quien ascendió muy por encima de todos los cielos, que él podría llenar todas las cosas.

^4:11Y él mismo dio a unos, Apóstoles; y a unos, Profetas; y a unos, Evangelistas; y a unos, Pastores y Maestros; ^4:12a fin de perfeccionar a los santos para la obra del ministerio, para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo; ^4:13hasta que todos lleguemos en la unidad de la fe y del conocimiento del Hijo de Dios, a un varón perfecto, a la medida de la estatura de la plenitud de Cristo;

^4:14para que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que para engañar emplean con astucia las artimañas del error. ^4:15Antes hablando la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todas las cosas, en Aquél que es la cabeza, en Cristo; ^4:16de quien todo el cuerpo bien ligado entre sí, y unido por lo que cada coyuntura suple, conforme a la eficacia y medida de cada miembro, hace que el cuerpo crezca para la edificación de sí mismo en amor.

¶El complemento    Por tanto, quitad a las obras de la vieja naturaleza que es corrompida (4:17 - 5:21)

^4:17Esto, pues, digo y requiero en el Señor; que ya no andéis como los otros gentiles, que andan en la vanidad de su mente, ^4:18teniendo el entendimiento entenebrecido, ajenos a la vida de Dios por la ignorancia que en ellos hay, por la dureza de su corazón; ^4:19los cuales habiendo perdido toda sensibilidad, se entregaron a la lascivia para con avidez cometer toda clase de impureza.

^4:20Pero ustedes no habéis aprendido así a Cristo; ^4:21si es que le habéis oído, y habéis sido por él enseñados de cómo la verdad está en Jesús. ^4:22En cuanto a la pasada manera de vivir, despojaos del viejo hombre, que está viciado conforme a las concupiscencias engañosas. ^4:23Y renovaos en el espíritu de vuestra mente, ^4:24y vestíos del nuevo hombre, que es creado según Dios, en justicia y en santidad verdadera.

^4:25Por lo cual, desechando la mentira, hablad verdad cada uno con su prójimo: porque somos miembros los unos de los otros. ^4:26Airaos, pero no pequéis; no se ponga el sol sobre vuestro enojo; ^4:27ni deis lugar al diablo. ^4:28El que hurtaba, no hurte más; antes trabaje, haciendo con sus manos lo que es bueno, para que tenga qué compartir con el que padeciere necesidad. ^4:29Ninguna palabra corrompida salga de vuestra boca; sino la que sea buena y sirva para edificación, para que dé gracia a los oyentes. ^4:30Y no contristéis al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual estáis sellados para el día de la redención. ^4:31Toda amargura, y enojo, e ira, y gritería, y maledicencia, y toda malicia, sea quitada de entre ustedes; ^4:32y sed benignos unos con otros, misericordiosos, perdonándoos unos a otros, como también Dios en Cristo os perdonó.

^5:1Sed, pues, seguidores de Dios como hijos amados; ^5:2y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó a sí mismo por nosotros a Dios, ofrenda y sacrificio de dulce fragancia. ^5:3Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, o avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre ustedes como conviene a santos; ^5:4ni palabras obscenas, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino antes bien acciones de gracias: ^5:5porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, o inmundo, o avaro, que es idólatra, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios. ^5:6Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas: porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia. ^5:7No seáis, pues, partícipes con ellos: ^5:8porque en otro tiempo erais tinieblas, pero ahora sois Luz en el Señor. Andad como hijos de Luz ^5:9(porque el fruto del Espíritu es en toda bondad, justicia y verdad), ^5:10aprobando lo que es agradable al Señor. ^5:11Y no participéis con las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas, sino antes reprobadlas: ^5:12porque vergonzoso es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en oculto. ^5:13Pero todas las cosas que son reprobadas, son hechas manifiestas por la luz: porque lo que manifiesta todo, es la luz. ^5:14Por lo cual dice, “Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo”.

^5:15Ved, entonces, que caminas cuidadosamente; no como tontos, sino como sabios, ^5:16redimiendo el tiempo: porque los días son malos. ^5:17Por tanto, no seáis insensatos, sino entendiendo cual es la voluntad del Señor. ^5:18Y no emborrachéis con vino (en el que hay exceso), sino estad continuamente lleno del Espíritu; ^5:19hablando a ustedes mismos en Salmos, himnos y canciones espirituales, cantando y haciendo melodía en su corazón al Señor; ^5:20dando gracias siempre por todo a Dios y al Padre en el Nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo: ^5:21sometiendo ustedes mismos uno al otro en el temor de Dios.

¶Único    Amad a su cónyuge e hijos y sed un testimonio para Cristo en su lugar de trabajo (5:22 - 6:9)

^5:22Las casadas estén sujetas a sus propios maridos, como al Señor: ^5:23porque el marido es cabeza de la esposa, así como Cristo es cabeza de la Asamblea; y él es el Salvador del cuerpo. ^5:24Así que, como la Asamblea está sujeta a Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén a sus propios maridos en todo.

^5:25Maridos, amad a vuestras esposas, incluso como Cristo amó a la Asamblea, y se entregó a sí mismo por ella; ^5:26que él podría santificarlo y limpiarlo con el lavamiento del agua por la Palabra, ^5:27que él podría presentárselo a sí mismo una Asamblea gloriosa, no teniendo mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; pero que debe ser santo y sin defecto. ^5:28Así los maridos deben amar a sus esposas como a sus propios cuerpos. El que ama a su esposa, a sí mismo se ama: ^5:29porque ninguno aborreció jamás a su propia carne, antes la sustenta y la cuida, como también el Señor a la Asamblea: ^5:30porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos. ^5:31“Por esto, dejará el hombre a su padre y a su madre, y se unirá a su esposa, y los dos serán una sola carne”. ^5:32Este misterio grande es; pero yo hablo en cuanto a Cristo y a la Asamblea. ^5:33Por lo demás, cada uno de ustedes en particular, ame también a su esposa como a sí mismo; y la esposa reverencie a su marido.

^6:1Hijos, obedeced en el Señor a vuestros padres: porque esto es justo. ^6:2“Honra a tu padre y a tu madre” (que es el primer Mandamiento con promesa): ^6:3“para que te vaya bien, y seas de larga vida sobre la tierra”.

^6:4Y ustedes padres, no provoquéis a ira a vuestros hijos; sino criadlos en disciplina y amonestación del Señor.

^6:5Siervos, obedeced a vuestros amos según la carne con temor y temblor, con sencillez de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo. ^6:6No sirviendo al ojo, como los que agradan a los hombres; sino como siervos de Cristo, haciendo la voluntad de Dios de corazón. ^6:7Sirviendo con buena voluntad, como al Señor, y no a los hombres; ^6:8sabiendo que el bien que cada uno hiciere, esto recibirá del Señor, sea siervo o sea libre. ^6:9Y ustedes, amos, haced con ellos lo mismo, dejando las amenazas, sabiendo que vuestro Señor también está en el Cielo; y para él no hay acepción de personas.

§El complemento   Conclusión: Orad siempre, y recibiréis paz, amor y gracia de Dios a cambio (6:10 - 24)

¶El complemento    Ponad sobre toda la armadura de Dios y prepárad para la guerra espiritual por Cristo a través de la oración y la santificación (6:10 - 18)

^6:10Finalmente, hermanos míos, sé fuerte en el Señor, y en la fuerza de su poder. ^6:11Vestíos de toda la armadura de Dios, que usted puede ser capaz estar en contra de las asechanzas del diablo: ^6:12porque no luchamos contra la carne y la sangre, sino contra los principados, contra los poderes, contra los gobernantes de las tinieblas de esta Edad, y contra los espíritus malignos en los lugares altos.

^6:13Por tanto, toma a usted toda la armadura de Dios, que usted puede ser capaz de soportar en el día malo; y habiendo hecho todo, estar de pie.

^6:14Estad firmes, por lo tanto, con su cintura rodeado con la verdad, y vestidos con la coraza de justicia; ^6:15y sus pies equipó con la preparación del Evangelio de paz.

^6:16Sobre todo, tomando el escudo de la fe (con el cual usted será capaz extinguir todos los dardos ardientes del Malvado), ^6:17también tomad el casco de la salvación, y la espada del Espíritu (cual es la Palabra de Dios); ^6:18orando siempre con toda oración y súplica en el Espíritu;

y de acuerdo con esto, vigilando continuamente con toda perseverancia y súplica por todos los santos.

¶El complemento    Tus oraciones por los demás traerán paz, amor y gracia de parte de Dios el Padre y el Señor Jesucristo (6:19 - 24)

^6:19Y rezad por mí, para que al abrir mi boca me sea dada palabra para dar a conocer con denuedo el misterio del Evangelio; ^6:20por el cual soy embajador en cadenas; para que en ellas hable osadamente, como debo hablar.

^6:21Y para que también ustedes sepáis mis asuntos, y lo que hago; todo os lo hará saber Tíquico, hermano amado y fiel ministro en el Señor; ^6:22el cual envié a ustedes para esto mismo, para que sepáis lo tocante a nosotros, y que consuele vuestros corazones.

^6:23Paz a los hermanos; y amor con fe,

desde Dios el Padre, y del Señor Jesús Cristo.

^6:24La gracia sea con todos los que aman a nuestro Señor Jesús Cristo en sinceridad. Amén.
