Works in the Kingdom of God, Chapter 2.4 (2 John): Walk in Biblical truth in spite of the antichrists in the world (1:1 - 13)

§Unique (C)   Introduction: I love the elect lady and her children, because of the Truth of Christ (1:1 - 3)

       Unique (U)    The elder to the elect lady and her children; whom I love in the truth (1:1a)

       Complement (C)   and not only I, but also all they that have known the truth (1:1b)

       Complement (C)   for the truth’s sake, which dwells in us, and shall be with us forever (1:2)

       Opposite (O)   Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, (1:3a)

       Opposite (O)   from God the Father; and from the Lord Jesus Christ (1:3b)

§Complement (C)   Body: Love one another through obedience to the Commandments of Jesus Christ, and avoid deniers of the Deity of Christ (1:4 - 8)

       Unique (U)   I rejoiced greatly, that I found of your children walking in truth(1:4)

       Complement (C)   And now I beseech you, lady, that we love one another (1:5)

       Complement (C)   This is true love, that we walk after his Commandments (1:6a)

       Opposite (O)   Walk in the doctrine of Christ, because many deceivers have entered into the world (1:6b - 7)

       Opposite (O)   Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things which we have achieved (1:8)

§Complement (C)   Conclusion: I will see you soon (1:9 - 13)

       Opposite (O)   Whosoever falls away, and does not remain in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God (1:9)

       Opposite (O)   If any denier of the deity of Christ comes to you, do not receive him into your house church (1:10-11)

       Complement (C)   I do not want to write to you with ink and pen (1:12a)

       Complement (C)   I shall shortly see you, and we shall speak face to face (1:12b)

C   ^1:4I rejoiced greatly, that I found of your children walking in truth,

C   as we have received a Commandment from the Father.

^1:5And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new Commandment to you; but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

^1:6And this is true love, that we walk after his Commandments.

This is the Commandment, that, as you have heard the doctrine of Christ from the beginning, you should walk in it: ^1:7for many deceivers have entered into the world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh: this is a deceiver and an antichrist.

^1:8Be vigilant, so that we do not lose those things which we have achieved, but that we receive a full reward.

§Complement (C)   Conclusion: I will see you soon (1:9 - 13)

^1:9Whosoever is an apostate, and does not remain in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God; he that remains in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.

^1:10If anyone comes to you, but does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house church; neither bid him “Welcome”: ^1:11for he that bids him “Welcome” is a partaker of his evil deeds.

^1:12Having many things to write to you, I do not want to write with paper and ink;

but I trust to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

§El complemento (C)   Cuerpo: Camina según los mandamientos de Jesucristo, y evitas a los negadores de la Deidad de Cristo (1:4 - 8)

C   ^1:4Me regocijé mucho, porque encontré a tus hijos caminando en verdad,

C   como hemos recibido un Mandamiento desde el Padre.

^1:5Y ahora te ruego, señora, no como si te escribiera un Mandamiento nuevo; sino lo que teníamos desde el principio, que nos amemos unos a otros.

^1:6Y este es el verdadero amor, que caminamos según sus Mandamientos.

Éste es el mandamiento, que, como has escuchado la doctrina de Cristo desde el principio, debiereis caminar en ello: ^1:7porque muchos engañadores han entrado en el mundo, los cuales no confiesan que Jesús Cristo ha venido en carne: esto es un engañador y un anticristo.

^1:8Estad vigilante, para que no perdamos aquello por lo que hemos logrado, sino que recibamos galardón completo.

§El complemento (C)   Conclusión: Voy a verte pronto (1:9 - 13)

^1:9Cualquiera que sea un apóstata y no permanece en la doctrina de Cristo, él no tiene al Dios verdadero; el que permanece en la doctrina de Cristo, él tiene tanto al Padre como al Hijo.

^1:10Si alguno viene a ustedes y no trae esta doctrina, no lo recibáis en vuestra casa; ni le digáis, “Bienvenido”: ^1:11porque el que le dice, “Bienvenido”, participa de sus malas obras.

^1:12Teniendo muchas cosas que para escribir a ti, no escribiría con papel y tinta;

pero espero ir a ti y hablar cara a cara, para que nuestro gozo sea pleno.
