Comments: The design of the Golden Ratio for the Conclusion Section has two paragraphs that complement each other in their themes; and the subparagraphs of each paragraph have the same design of the Golden Ratio: two opposites, two complements, and one unique. The Conclusion Section of most chapters in the Bible are exactly like this.

The text of the first paragraph of the Conclusion Section, arranged by the Golden Ratio design, which is two opposites, two complements, and one unique:

§Unique Conclusion: Paul was transported to Rome by ship, where he explained the Kingdom of God to the Jews of Rome (28:1 - 31)

¶Complement Paul was transported to Rome from Malta on a ship of Alexandria, Egypt (28:1 - 16)

Opposite And when they had escaped, then they knew that the island was called Malta. And the barbarous people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, a viper came out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, “No doubt this man is a murderer; whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet vengeance does not allow him to live.” But he shook off the beast into the fire, and suffered no harm. Nevertheless they expected him to swell with inflammation, or fall down dead suddenly; but after they had observed a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

Opposite Now in the same area were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius, who received us, and courteously lodged us three days. And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. So when this was done, others also, who had diseases in the island, came, and were healed, who also honored us with many honors; and when we left, they loaded us with such things as were necessary.

Complement And after three months we left in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the island, whose ensign was Castor and Pollux. And landing at Syracuse, we stayed there three days.

Complement And from there we circled around, and came to Rhegium; and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli; where we found brethren, and were asked to stay with them seven days; and so we went toward Rome.

Unique And from there, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Forum Appii and Three Inns, whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage. And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard; but Paul was allowed to dwell by himself with a soldier that guarded him.

Comments: Paul was bitten by a viper on the island of Malta; but after nothing happened to him, the native people thought that he was a god; but it was only the protection of the Lord for his servant!

Mark 16:17-18: Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my Name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new languages; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Certainly, this event with Paul was a fulfillment of the prophecy of the Lord Jesus. The viper bit him, and he suffered no harm. Also, Paul laid hands on the sick father of the leader of Malta, and he healed him.

But did this happen all the time? No it did not. Paul said so.

2 Timothy 4:20; Paul wrote, “Erastus stayed at Corinth, but Trophimus have I left sick at Miletum.”

If you believe the claims of many Charismatic teachers, then Paul should have been able to heal Trophimus, or maybe Trophimus just didn’t have enough faith to be healed! Lol.

Folks, beware of the false teachers who only preach about healing, miracles, and prosperity. Their message is not Biblical. It is a false message which is not of God.

The Biblical record shows that healing or miracles did not always happen; and even the great Apostle Paul was not able to heal at least one man: Trophimus. No doubt there were many more as well.

The purpose of healing and miracles in the Book of Acts was for “authentication” of the Gospel message, especially among the Jews.

In those days, there were many Jews who had become a believer in Jehovah under the Old Covenant; and they needed the miracles of speaking in foreign languages without training on the Day of Pentecost to convince them that God had truly visited the Jews in the Person of Jesus Christ; and about 3,000 put their trust in Christ as their Messiah that day (Acts 2:41); and later, another 5,000 Jews believed in Christ after Peter and John healed the crippled man at the Temple (Acts 3:1 - 4:4).

God used these early miracles to help establish the first church in Jerusalem with many thousands of members.

God also used Peter to heal a paralyzed man (Acts 9:32-35) and raise a woman from the dead (Acts 9:36-42). And while Paul, Barnabas, and later, Silas were planting churches among the Gentiles, God granted many miracles to be done by their hands (Acts 19:11-12).

In the first forty years after Christ rose to Heaven (Acts 1:9-11), miracles and speaking in foreign languages without training seem to be fairly common occurrences, according to the Book of Acts. And this is what the Lord Jesus said would happen (Mark 16:17-18).

But these things were highly unusual after the Apostles died. History reports that the miracle of speaking in tongues, in particular, ceased; and only at the beginning of the 20th century (1,800 years later) did “speaking in tongues” supposedly revive once again.

What exactly did the Lord need to authenticate almost 1,900 years after Pentecost at the beginning of the Book of Acts?

Was the church a brand new thing? No; the churches of Christ had been multiplying around the world for over 18 centuries; and in 1900, missionary works in foreign countries like China (Hudson Taylor) and Burma (Adoniram Judson) had been very successful with many churches planted; and great evangelists like D.L. Moody were winning literally millions of people to Christ in both the US and Europe. So there was no need for the Lord Jesus Christ to authenticate anything at all in the late 1800s through the early 1900s in the United States and in England. The power of the Gospel was being seen every day and millions were being saved during great revivals of the time.

Was the Temple in Jerusalem still performing animal sacrifice under the Old Covenant, and the Jews needed a miracle to demonstrate to them that animal sacrifice was no longer valid? No; in fact, the Temple had been destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Roman armies of Titus; and the Jews were scattered throughout the world.

So there was no need for God to authenticate anything; the authentication of the Gospel was complete in the first century!

There have been three “Great Awakenings” in American history: the first was about 1730-1740, the second from the late 1700s to the middle of the 1800s, and the third was from the 1850s to early 1900s.

In none of those great revivals has it been reported that anyone spoke in tongues! Nor did they have any such unbiblical experiences as “holy laughter”, being “slain in the spirit” (falling over as if dead), babbling incoherently with gibberish like “Honda bow tie, honda bow tie, seem sala beem etc”.

No, instead these revivals were marked by repentance from sin and wicked things like alcohol, fornication, adultery, lying etc.; and long prayer meetings seeking the Lord Jesus and his power in their lives, and great evangelistic outreaches with millions of souls saved, and hundreds of churches started or established. Liquor stores would go out of business, and bars would close.

But, after the modern day phenomenon of “speaking in tongues”, healing, and “the prosperity gospel” began in the early 1900s, we have not had any more Great Awakenings in the United States! The Charismatic movement has destroyed the movement of the Holy Spirit in most of our churches in the US, because the fruit of the charismatic movement is of Satan, and is not of God.

And any supposed “revivals” that have happened since the early 1900s have been much smaller in scope and have never resulted in the closing of bars or liquor stores, or had any of the other results from the earlier Great Awakenings.

There are tens of thousands of charismatic churches in the US and all over the world with millions of professing Christians “speaking in tongues”; and yet, the bars do not close, the “Christians” do not repent of their pornographic addictions, their alcoholism, their cursing, their lying, their fornicating or their dishonest business dealings. The fruit of the Charismatic movement in the lives of those who believe in speaking in tongues etc is proof that it is not of God!

If speaking in tongues, signs and wonder, and the prosperity gospel were truly of the Holy Spirit of God, then we would see great change in the lives of those who practice it; but we do not.

Galatians 5:19-24: “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, evil desires, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they who practice such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control: against such there is no Law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

Individuals have repented and can have revival; but nationwide revivals like in the past seem to be over, very sadly. American and many foreign churches are focused on getting rich, or being healed, or speaking in gibberish or laughing hysterically for no Biblical reason; and the Gospel is not being preached in many so-called Christian churches. Many churches are spiritually cold and many have gone into apostasy.

And many churches who shun the charismatic movement are paralyzed because they spend much time talking about Election and the Sovereignty of God, rather than going out to reach souls with the Gospel. They should be far more concerned to spread the Gospel and let God determine who is elect; this is what great reformed preachers like Spurgeon and Ian Paisley believed.

The number of churches who are truly seeking the Lord Jesus Christ and his Word, and who are expanding the Kingdom of God through preaching of the Gospel and winning souls to Christ, are relatively few.

I believe that these are all signs of the soon Return of our Lord Jesus before the Great Tribulation begins.

The text of the second paragraph of the Conclusion Section, arranged by the Golden Ratio design, which is two opposites, two complements, and one unique:

¶Complement Paul explained the Kingdom of God to the Jews of Rome (28:17 - 31)

Opposite And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together; and when they came together, he said to them, “Men, brethren: though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans. Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me. But when the Jews spoke against it, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar (not that I had anything to accuse my nation of). Therefore for this cause I have called for you, to see you, and to speak with you, because for the Hope of Israel am I bound with this chain.”

Opposite And they said to him, “We neither received letters out of Judea concerning you; neither did any of the brethren that came show or speak any harm of you. But we want to hear from you what you think: for as concerning this sect, we know that everywhere it is spoken against.”

Complement And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging: to whom he explained and testified the Kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the Law of Moses, and out of the Prophets, from morning until evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some did not believe.

Complement And when they did not agree among themselves, they departed, after Paul had spoken one word, “Well spoke the Holy Spirit by Isaiah the Prophet to our fathers, saying, ‘Go to this people, and say, ‘Hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, but not perceive: for the heart of this people has become unfeeling, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed, lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.’’ Therefore be it known to you, that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; and they will hear it.” And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

Unique And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all that came in to him, preaching the Kingdom of God, and teaching those things that concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Comments: There are some Baptists who believe that anything that was taught in the Book of Acts up until Acts 28:31 was a transitory teaching; and should therefore be ignored, basically. In their view, only the teaching letters of the Apostles should be accepted as valid for today. This viewpoint is a reaction to the excesses of the Charismatic movement, which claims that everything in the Book of Acts is for today as well.

Now this viewpoint is absurd, in my view. Did they forget that Paul wrote many of his letters long before his imprisonment in Rome? Galatians, Romans, Hebrews, 1 and 2 Corinthians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians. All of these letters are extremely important to the Christian Faith and provide the basis for most of the central teachings of Biblical Christianity.

So I cannot accept this viewpoint; it is unbiblical. There is no need to say that nothing before Acts 28:31 should be practiced today; all we need is to use good, sound Biblical exegesis and solid Biblical reasoning to discern what practices in the Book of Acts apply to today and which ones do not; and I have done that in the preceding studies in Acts.

Paul gave us this Biblical reasoning in I Corinthians 13:8-10:

“Selfless love never ceases; but whether there are prophecies, they shall come to an end; whether there are gifts of foreign languages, they shall cease of their own accord; whether there is knowledge, it shall also come to an end. For we know in part; and we prophesy in part. But when that which is complete has come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”

We will examine this in much more detail in our detailed studies in I Corinthians in the future; but the kernel of what Paul was saying there was that during the time when the Word of God, the Holy Bible, was not yet complete, there was a need for the temporary manifestation of the Holy Spirit with miracles, signs and wonder, and healing; but after the Holy Bible was complete (still future at the time of the writing of this letter by Paul), then the temporary gifts would cease, and the permanent gifts would continue on throughout the Dispensation until the Return of Christ:

I Corinthians 13:13: “And now faith, hope, and selfless love remains forever, these three; but the greatest of these is selfless love.”

History demonstrates that this is exactly what happened: the temporary gifts of the Book of Acts ceased, and the permanent gifts continued on until today, and will continue on.

Yes, I believe in miracles and healing for today; I believe that God can do anything; however, God gave us his Word so that we might understand Him and his ways and follow Him more perfectly. We must be careful to examine the Scriptures to see whether we are truly following Him or following falsehoods invented by the devil to deceive and destroy us.

We must recognize the difference between the exercise of spiritual gifts according to the Scriptures and the large number of fake christians who pretend to be “evangelists”; and yet their main message is not the Gospel, but rather is centered on collecting money from people, flying around the world in their own private jet aircraft, living in multi-million dollar mansions, and wearing the most expensive clothes. This is not of God!

I Corinthians 11:14-15: “And no marvel: for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light; therefore, it is no great thing if his servants also are transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.”

Have you been born again through repentance and prayer to ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your life to save you?

If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life; who suffered on a cross for your sins and died; was buried, and rose again from the dead on the third day, then pray this prayer to receive Christ as your Savior and be saved:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

This concludes our study of the Book of Acts. And along with this, I try to provide some solid Biblical meat for Believers in Christ to digest and to grow spiritually; and also provide the Gospel for those who may have never heard or read a solid presentation of the Gospel before.

In the next series of studies, we are going to begin a series of high level studies of Volume 5 of the Holy Bible, which contains the letters of the Apostles, and other documents from the Hebrew part of the Bible that do not fit anywhere else in the Golden Ratio design. I will explain how and why this works, but I will need to begin with the basics of the Golden Ratio design, because many have never heard of this before; and I have to repeat it often.

Comentarios: Pablo fue mordido por una víbora en la isla de Malta; pero después de que nada le pasó, los nativos pensaron que era un dios; ¡pero era sólo la protección del Señor para su siervo!

Marcos 16:17-18: Jesús dijo, “Y estas señales seguirán a los que creen: en mi Nombre echarán fuera demonios; hablarán nuevas lenguas; recogerán las serpientes; y si bebieren cosa mortífera, no les dañará; sobre los enfermos pondrán sus manos y sanarán.”

Ciertamente, este evento con Pablo fue un cumplimiento de la profecía del Señor Jesús. La víbora lo mordió, y no sufrió ningún daño. Además, Pablo le impuso las manos al padre enfermo del líder de Malta, y lo sanó.

¿Pero esto sucedía todo el tiempo? No, ello no hizo. Pablo lo dijo.

2 Timoteo 4:20; Pablo escribió, “Erasto se quedó en Corinto, pero yo he dejado a Trófimo enfermo en Mileto.” Si crees en las afirmaciones de muchos maestros carismáticos, entonces Pablo debería haber podido curar a Trófimo, ¡o tal vez Trófimo simplemente no tuvo suficiente fe para ser sanado! ¡Ja ja!

Amigos, tengan cuidado con los falsos maestros que solo predican sobre sanidad, milagros y prosperidad. El mensaje de ellos no es bíblico. Es un mensaje falso que no es de Dios.

El registro bíblico muestra que las curaciones o los milagros no siempre sucedieron; e incluso el gran Apóstol Pablo no pudo curar al menos a un hombre: Trófimo. Sin duda había muchos más también.

El propósito de la sanidad y los milagros en el Libro de los Hechos era para la “autenticación” del mensaje del Evangelio, especialmente entre los judíos.

En aquellos días había muchos judíos que se habían convertido en creyentes en Jehová bajo el Antiguo Pacto; y necesitaban los milagros de hablar en idiomas extranjeros, sin entrenamiento, en el Día de Pentecostés para convencerlos de que Dios verdaderamente había visitado a los judíos en la Persona de Jesucristo; y unos 3.000 pusieron su confianza en Cristo como su Mesías ese día (Hechos 2:41); y más tarde, otros 5.000 judíos creyeron en Cristo después de que Pedro y Juan sanaron al paralítico en el Templo (Hechos 3:1 - 4:4).

Dios usó estos primeros milagros para ayudar a establecer la primera iglesia en Jerusalén con muchos miles de miembros.

Dios también usó a Pedro para sanar a un paralítico (Hechos 9:32-35) y resucitar a una mujer de entre los muertos (Hechos 9:36-42). Y mientras Pablo, Bernabé y más tarde Silas estaban plantando iglesias entre los gentiles, Dios concedió que muchos milagros fueran hechos por sus manos (Hechos 19:11-12).

En los primeros cuarenta años después de que Cristo ascendió al Cielo (Hechos 1:9-11), los milagros y hablar en idiomas extranjeros sin entrenamiento parecen ser hechos bastante comunes, según el Libro de los Hechos. Y esto es lo que el Señor Jesús dijo que sucedería (Marcos 16:17-18).

Pero estas cosas eran muy inusuales después de la muerte de los Apóstoles. La historia informa que el milagro de hablar en lenguas, en particular, cesó; y sólo a principios del siglo 20 (1.800 años después) supuestamente revivió el “hablar en lenguas”.

¿Qué necesitaba exactamente el Señor para autenticar casi 1.900 años después de Pentecostés al comienzo del Libro de los Hechos?

¿Era la iglesia algo nuevo? No; las iglesias de Cristo se habían multiplicado en todo el mundo durante más de 18 siglos; y en 1900, las obras misioneras en países extranjeros como China (Hudson Taylor) y Birmania (Adoniram Judson) habían tenido mucho éxito con muchas iglesias plantadas; y grandes evangelistas como D.L. Moody estaba ganando literalmente a millones de personas para Cristo tanto en Estados Unidos como en Europa. Así que no había necesidad de que el Señor Jesucristo autenticara nada desde finales del siglo 19 hasta principios del siglo 20 en los Estados Unidos y en Inglaterra. El poder del Evangelio se veía todos los días y millones se salvaban durante los grandes avivamientos de la época.

¿El Templo de Jerusalén todavía realizaba sacrificios de animales bajo el Antiguo Pacto, y los judíos necesitaban un milagro para demostrarles que el sacrificio de animales ya no era válido? No; de hecho, el Templo había sido destruido en el año 70 d.C. por los ejércitos romanos de Tito; y los judíos fueron esparcidos por todo el mundo.

Así que no había necesidad de que Dios autentificara nada; ¡la autenticación del Evangelio fue completa en el primer siglo!

Ha habido tres “Grandes Despertares” en la historia de los Estados Unidos: el primero fue alrededor de 1730-1740, el segundo desde finales de 1700 hasta mediados de 1800, y el tercero fue desde 1850 hasta principios de 1900.

¡En ninguno de esos grandes avivamientos se ha informado que alguien haya hablado en lenguas! Tampoco tuvieron experiencias no bíblicas como “risa santa”, siendo “Matado en el espíritu” (caerse como si estuvieran muertos), balbucear incoherencias con tonterías.

No, en cambio, estos avivamientos estaban marcados por el arrepentimiento del pecado y cosas malas como el alcohol, la fornicación, el adulterio, la mentira. etc; y largas reuniones de oración buscando al Señor Jesús y su poder en sus vidas; y grandes alcances evangelísticos con millones de almas salvadas, y cientos de iglesias iniciadas o establecidas. Las licorerías quebrarían y los bares cerrarían.

Pero, después del fenómeno moderno de “hablar en lenguas”, la curación y el “evangelio de la prosperidad” comenzaron a principios del siglo 20, ¡No hemos tenido más Grandes Despertares en los Estados Unidos! El movimiento carismático ha destruido el movimiento del Espíritu Santo en la mayoría de nuestras iglesias en los Estados Unidos, porque el fruto del movimiento carismático es de Satanás y no de Dios.

Y cualquier supuesto “avivamientos” que haya ocurrido desde principios de 1900 ha tenido un alcance mucho menor y nunca ha resultado en el cierre de bares o licorerías, ni ha tenido ninguno de los otros resultados de los Grandes Despertares anteriores.

Hay decenas de miles de iglesias carismáticas en los Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo con millones de cristianos profesantes que “hablan en lenguas”; y sin embargo, los bares no cierran, los “cristianos” ni se arrepienten de sus adicciones pornográficas, de su alcoholismo, de sus palabrotas, de sus mentiras, de sus fornicaciones o de sus negocios deshonestos. ¡El fruto del movimiento carismático en la vida de aquellos que creen en hablar en lenguas, etc. es prueba de que no es de Dios!

Si el hablar en lenguas, señales y prodigios, y el evangelio de la prosperidad fueran verdaderamente del Espíritu Santo de Dios, entonces veríamos un gran cambio en la vida de aquellos que lo practican; pero nosotros no.

Gálatas 5:19-24: “Ahora, las obras de la carne son evidentes, cuales son estos: adulterio, fornicación, inmundicia, malos deseos, idolatría, brujería, odio, discordia, emulaciones, iras, contiendas, sediciones, herejías, envidias, homicidios, borracheras, la fiesta y cosas semejantes a estas; de las cuales os digo antes, como también os lo he dicho en el pasado, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el Reino de Dios.

Pero el fruto del Espíritu Santo es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fe, mansedumbre y autodominio: contra tales cosas no hay Ley. Y los que son de Cristo han crucificado la carne con los afectos y las concupiscencias..”

Los individuos se han arrepentido y pueden tener avivamiento; pero los avivamientos a nivel nacional como en el pasado parecen haber terminado, muy tristemente. Las iglesias estadounidenses y muchas extranjeras se enfocan en enriquecerse, ser sanadas, o hablar en balbuceos o reírse histéricamente sin ninguna razón bíblica; y el Evangelio no se predica en muchas de las llamadas iglesias cristianas. Muchas iglesias son espiritualmente frías y muchas han entrado en apostasía.

Y muchas iglesias que rehúyen el movimiento carismático se paralizan porque pasan mucho tiempo hablando de la Elección y la Soberanía de Dios, en lugar de salir a ganar almas con el Evangelio. Deberían estar mucho más preocupados por difundir el Evangelio y dejar que Dios determine quién es elegido; esto es lo que creían los grandes predicadores reformados como Spurgeon e Ian Paisley.

El número de iglesias que verdaderamente buscan al Señor Jesucristo y su Palabra, y que están expandiendo el Reino de Dios a través de la predicación del Evangelio y ganando almas para Cristo, es relativamente pequeño.

Creo que todas estas son señales del pronto Regreso de nuestro Señor Jesús antes de que comience la Gran Tribulación.

El texto del segundo párrafo de la Sección de Conclusión, ordenado por el diseño de la Proporción Áurea, que son dos opuestos, dos complementos y uno único:

¶El complemento Pablo explicó el Reino de Dios a los judíos de Roma (28:17 - 31)

Lo opuesto Y aconteció que después de tres días, Pablo reunió al jefe de los judíos; y cuando se juntaron, él les dijo, “Varones, hermanos: aunque nada he cometido contra el pueblo o las costumbres de nuestros padres, aún, fui entregado preso desde Jerusalén en manos de los romanos. Quienes, cuando me hubieron examinado, me hubieran dejado ir, porque no había causa de muerte en mí. Pero cuando los judíos hablaron en contra de ello, me vi obligado a apelar a César (no que tuviera nada de qué acusar a mi nación). Por eso os he llamado para veros y hablar con ustedes: porque estoy atado con esta cadena para la esperanza de Israel.”

Lo opuesto Y le dijeron, “Nosotros ni hemos recibido de Judea cartas acerca de ti, y ninguno de los hermanos que vinieron mostró o habló cualquier mal de ti. Pero queremos saber desde ti lo que tú piensas: porque en cuanto a está secta, sabemos que ello se habla en contra en todas partes.”

El complemento Y cuando le señalaron un día, muchos vinieron a él a su posada: a quien explicó y testificó el Reino de Dios, persuadiéndolos acerca de Jesús, tanto fuera de la ley de Moisés y fuera de los profetas, desde la mañana hasta la noche. Y algunos creyeron las cosas que se decían, y algunos no creyeron.

El complemento Y cuando no se ponían de acuerdo entre ellos mismos, se fueron, después de que Pablo hubo dicho una palabra, “Bien habló el Espíritu Santo por medio del profeta Isaías a nuestros padres, diciendo, ‘Ve a este pueblo, y diles, ‘Oyendo, oiréis y no entenderéis; y viendo, veréis, pero no percibiréis: porque el corazón de este pueblo se ha vuelto insensible, y sus oídos se han entorpecido para oír, y sus ojos han cerrado; no sea que vean con los ojos, y oigan con sus oídos, y entiendan con el corazón, y se conviertan, y yo debería curarlos.’’ Por tanto, dejéis que os sea conocido, que la salvación de Dios ha sido enviada a los gentiles; y ellos lo escucharán.” Y cuando hubo dicho estas palabras, los judíos se fueron y tenían un gran razonamiento entre ellos mismos.

Único Y Pablo habitó dos años enteros en su propia casa alquilada y recibió todo quien le llegó: predicando el Reino de Dios, y enseñando las cosas que conciernen al Señor Jesucristo, con toda confianza, ningún hombre impidiéndole.

Comentarios: Hay algunos bautistas que creen que todo lo que se enseñó en el Libro de los Hechos hasta Hechos 28:31 fue una enseñanza transitoria; y por lo tanto debe ser ignorado, básicamente. En su opinión, solo las cartas de enseñanza de los Apóstoles deberían aceptarse como válidas para hoy. Este punto de vista es una reacción a los excesos del movimiento carismático, que afirma que todo en el Libro de los Hechos es también para hoy.

Ahora bien, este punto de vista es absurdo, en mi opinión. ¿Olvidaron que Pablo escribió muchas de sus cartas mucho antes de su encarcelamiento en Roma? Gálatas, Romanos, Hebreos, 1 y 2 Corintios, 1 y 2 Tesalonicenses. Todas estas cartas son extremadamente importantes para la fe cristiana y proporcionan la base para la mayoría de las enseñanzas centrales del cristianismo bíblico.

Así que no puedo aceptar este punto de vista; no es bíblico. No hay necesidad de decir que nada antes de Hechos 28:31 debe practicarse hoy; todo lo que necesitamos es usar una exégesis bíblica buena y sólida y un razonamiento bíblico sólido para discernir qué prácticas en el Libro de los Hechos se aplican hoy y cuáles no; y lo he hecho en los estudios precedentes en Hechos.

Pablo nos dio este razonamiento bíblico en I Corintios 13:8-10:

“El amor desinteresado nunca cesa; pero si hay profecías, se acabarán; si hay dones de lenguas extranjeras, cesarán por su propia cuenta; si hay conocimiento, también llegará a su fin: porque sabemos en parte; y profetizamos en parte; pero cuando aquello cual es completo ha llegado, entonces aquello cual es en parte se acabará.”

Examinaremos esto con mucho más detalle en nuestros estudios detallados en I Corintios en el futuro; pero la esencia de lo que Pablo estaba diciendo era que durante el tiempo en que la Palabra de Dios, la Santa Biblia, aún no estaba completa, había necesidad de la manifestación temporal del Espíritu Santo con milagros, señales y prodigios, y sanidad; pero después de que la Santa Biblia estuviera completa (todavía en el futuro en el momento en que Pablo escribió esta carta), entonces los dones temporales cesarían, y los dones permanentes continuarían a lo largo de la Dispensación hasta el Regreso de Cristo:

I Corintios 13:13: “Y ahora permanecen la fe la esperanza y amor desinteresado, estas tres; pero la mayor de ellas es amor desinteresado..”

La historia demuestra que esto es exactamente lo que sucedió: los dones temporales del Libro de los Hechos cesaron, y los dones permanentes continuaron hasta hoy, y continuarán.

Sí, creo en los milagros y en la sanación para hoy; Yo creo que Dios puede hacer cualquier cosa; sin embargo, Dios nos dio su Palabra para que pudiéramos entenderlo a Él y sus caminos y seguirlo más perfectamente. Debemos tener cuidado de examinar las Escrituras para ver si realmente lo estamos siguiendo a Él o siguiendo falsedades inventadas por el diablo para engañarnos y destruirnos.

Debemos reconocer la diferencia entre el ejercicio de los dones espirituales según las Escrituras y la gran cantidad de falsos cristianos que se hacen pasar por “evangelistas”; y aún, el mensaje principal de ellos no es el Evangelio, pero más bien está centrado en recolectar dinero de la gente, volar alrededor del mundo en su propio avión privado, vivir en mansiones multimillonarias y usar la ropa más cara. ¡Esto no es desde Dios!

I Corintios 11:14-15: “Y no es maravilla: porque Satanás él mismo se transforma en ángel de luz; por tanto, ni es gran cosa si también sus siervos se transforman como ministros de justicia, cuyo fin será conforme a sus obras.”

¿Has nacido de nuevo a través del arrepentimiento y la oración para pedirle al Señor Jesucristo que entre en tu vida para salvarte?

Si no, así es como puedes nacer de nuevo (o ser salvo) en el Reino de Dios, ahora mismo:

Si crees que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios que nació de una virgen, vivió una vida sin pecado; quien sufrió en una cruz por tus pecados y murió; fue sepultado, y resucitó de entre los muertos al tercer día, entonces haz esta oración para recibir a Cristo como tu Salvador y ser salvado:

“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra TI. ¡No soy bueno y tú eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!

Si se apartó de sus pecados y aceptó a Jesucristo como su Señor y único Salvador desde el pecado, por favor envíeme un mensaje a través de Facebook y hágame saber que lo ha hecho, para que pueda orar por ti y alegrarme contigo en lo que Dios tiene hecho en tu vida. Amén.

Esto concluye nuestro estudio del Libro de los Hechos. En estos breves estudios, no puedo proporcionar tanta enseñanza detallada sobre cada parte del texto bíblico como me gustaría: Solo estoy tratando de explicar el diseño de la proporción áurea de la Biblia mostrando cómo funciona en cada parte de la Biblia: desde el nivel alto hasta el nivel de subpárrafo más bajo.

Y junto con esto, trato de proporcionar un alimento bíblico sólido para que los creyentes en Cristo digieran y crezcan espiritualmente; y también proporcionar el Evangelio a aquellos que tal vez nunca antes hayan oído o leído una presentación sólida del Evangelio.
