Criticism of a Bible version is not criticism of the Bible itself

Before we continue our study in Romans, I want to speak to you briefly about some important topics that the Lord has laid on my heart to speak about today.

If you have been following these studies, you know that I have published at least two recently that spoke about errors in translation for two places in particular in many Bible versions: Luke 7:47 and John 10:34-35.

I want you to know that my criticisms of these texts (and any others in the Bible) are only for how those texts were translated in error in many Bible versions. It is not a criticism of the Bible itself! That is a huge difference between me and the liberals, who attack the Bible itself!

I believe every word in the Bible 100%; I trust in the Received Text of the Bible in the 1894 Scrivener Greek text and the Daniel Bomberg (Massoretic) Hebrew text.

Jesus said, (Matthew 5:17-18): “Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill: for truly I say to you, until Heaven and earth passes, not even one iota or one tittle shall pass from the Law, until all is fulfilled.”

However, I am a critic of Bible versions, even my own! I am always checking and reverifying the text of my Bible translations in English and Spanish, because I want them to be the very best and most accurate translations possible. I don’t want to stand before the Lord Jesus Christ at his Bema Judgment Seat and be ashamed for the poor quality of my translations!

Unfortunately, we have many ungodly Bible publishers today who are evidently not concerned about the poor quality of the translations that they publish! They only care about making money; and they will work with the Roman Catholic religion and any liberal who wants to help them to publish new Bible versions that aren’t really needed and are of poor quality. Their translations are often evil and destructive; and we must talk about them and expose them so that the people of God will understand the issues correctly.

I have published a special study on the so-called “Critical Texts” of Aleph and B, that goes into detail on why these Alexandrian Greek texts are so destructive and wrong. I urge you to read it.

Any Bible version that uses the Aleph and B Greek texts as their basis is deeply flawed and should never be used! Almost all of the several thousand new Bible versions that have been published since 1900 A.D. were created because of the deeply flawed Aleph and B Greek manuscripts. Only a few do not use those manuscripts as their basis for translation: e.g. the 21st Century KJV, my Bible versions in English and Spanish; and a very few others. Any Bible version that uses the Aleph and B manuscripts as a basis for translation has introduced errors into the Bible!

Also, the Bible versions of the Reformation also have problems, such as I have already discussed in those two studies. They are of much better quality as far as accuracy and loyalty to the Received Text is concerned; but they lack a modern language and grammar; and most importantly, they don’t have the Golden Ratio design of the Bible!

Spanish Bible Versions

As far as Spanish Bible versions, I have seen several of the most popular of these on https://www.biblegateway.com/. I have compared their translations with the Bible text; and frankly, most of them fall short of what they should be in terms of quality and loyalty to the Received Text. When I started working in Bible translation work, I never expected this; so I was disappointed that even after all these decades of Spanish Bible translations, the translators have not done their due diligence and produced a translation of comparable quality to the King James version. I do not know the full history of these translations, so I don’t understand the reasons for this failure. It may have something to do with the difficulty of creating a single Spanish translation for all of the different countries that speak Spanish.

I suspect, however, that the reasons are similar to the reasons for the poor quality of the English versions of the Bible that I discussed earlier in this study. Most Bible publishers are very ecumenical and work with liberals and Roman Catholic translators; they are focused only on profit and show little concern for loyalty to the Received Text. Many of the translations are very sloppy and poorly done.

In fact, in certain places, the Spanish translation is so bad that I cannot understand what Hebrew or Greek text the translator had used, because it didn’t make any sense whatsoever. Important words were missing or wrongly translated. It could be that some of these were Spanish words that are used only in certain countries; and no one else knows what they mean. But if that is so, then surely they could have found a better way to translate it!

And when you compare the various Spanish translations, it appears that most of them just copy the text of other Spanish translations and make a few minor changes so that they can publish a new Bible version!

But the Spanish speaking people of the world (like all language groups) deserve much better. I am doing what I can do to correct this situation with my Bible version, el Reino Estudio Biblia (REB). It is improving with every new Bible study, as I make updates when I have time. It will take a number of years to completely review the entire Spanish translation that I inherited from La Reina Valera Gómez translation of 2008. Brother Gomez gave me his text as a gift to give me a baseline Spanish text to work with, which I appreciated very much.

Now, the Trinitarian Bible Society has published a Spanish version of the Bible that may be much better; but I do not know anything about it, because it is not available for reviewing on Biblegateway.com. Even if the translation is better, it does not have the arrangement of the Golden Ratio of the Bible, which is equally as important as the translation itself. So I hope that the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS) will discover the Golden Ratio design arrangement; and one day, they will begin using it for their many good Bible translations in many languages. I appreciate the TBS for their loyalty to the Received Text.

Bad “Bible” versions

Most modern Bible versions are very poor in translation quality! Here are a few infamous examples (I don’t know if there are Spanish translations of all of these versions):

“Good News for Modern Man”

“The New Living Translation”

“The New International Version”

“The Reader’s Digest Bible”

“The Aussie Bible”

And there are literally thousands more in this category.

These translators did not use a word-for-word translation method; instead, they tried to put the Bible text into their own words, often with street slang; supposedly, this will help them reach people who don’t want to read the Bible. But the truth is that these “Bible versions” are not really the Bible at all. They are the words of men and women who do not respect the sanctity and holiness of the Word of God!

They have changed the Word of God into the words of men; and this was an act of unfaithfulness to God!

Jeremiah 23:28b: “He that has my Word, let him speak my Word faithfully.”

2 Timothy 2:1-2: “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to FAITHFUL men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

An early version of the New Living Translation (“The Living Bible”) translated 1 Samuel 20:30 as “You son of a b----!” Can you imagine reading that in the Holy Word of God? It is inconceivable and vile.

Only the actual words of God have the power of God on them!

Hebrews 4:12-13: “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword; piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow; and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart; neither is there any creature that is not exposed in his sight, but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”

Therefore, a true Bible translator must be diligent to accurately communicate the actual words of God into the language of the people that they are trying to reach! You cannot substitute “allah” for “God” or “Jehovah”, because “allah” is not a Triune God! “Allah” has no son; therefore he is not the one true God! Amen. Only Jehovah God is one God in three Persons! A translation of the Bible that uses “Allah” instead of “Jehovah” is blasphemous, because you have made the one true God into the Devil himself! Unacceptable!

Exodus 3:13-15: “And Moses said to God, “Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and shall say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you’; and they shall say to me, ‘What is his name?’, what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM THAT I AM.” And he said, “Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” And God said moreover to Moses, “Thus shall you say to the children of Israel: ‘Jehovah God of your fathers (the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob) has sent me to you. This is my Name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.’

One Bible version in an Asian language translated “sheep” as “swine” or “pigs”, because the people in that area didn’t know what a sheep was! They had never heard of sheep. So this is a situation where education is needed to help the people understand what a sheep is. The answer is not to create heresy in the Bible by substituting sheep with “pig”! A pig is an extremely unclean animal under the Old Covenant; and when reading the history of the Jews under the Old Covenant (especially the Law of Moses), a translation of “pig” instead of “sheep” produces extreme heresy (as well as confusion) and not true Bible doctrine!

In 168 BC, the Greek king Antiochus IV Epiphanes went into the Temple in Jerusalem; and he deliberately sacrificed a pig on the altar of Jehovah God to pollute it! This is a perfect illustration for why we should not substitute the word “swine” for “sheep” in the Holy Word of God.

The point is that the Bible must be translated word-for-word to the maximum extent possible, except when the target language does not have words with corresponding meanings. That’s when you have to create new words in their language that will correspond with the Bible words, especially when you are communicating vital Bible doctrine. Additional notes may be needed in the Bible version to help the readers to understand the meaning and Biblical background.

Young believers in Christ can be offended

It is true that young believers in Christ are very weak in their understanding of the Bible. Often, they do not understand that Bible versions were created by men and are not the same as the original writings. And they have not been trained in the history of all these things (such as Bible college) so that they can understand that even a Bible version that has minor translation issues can still be very useful and helpful. So many churches refuse to discuss issues such as Luke 7:47 or John 10:34-35, because they don’t want their young believers to stumble in their faith.

I understand that; however, God has called me to communicate the truth of God “AS IT IS”: not filtered so that “certain people” are not offended. Yes, there is a risk that some people will be offended; and trust me, I already know many of them; and they are Independent Fundamentalist Baptist (IFB) pastors and Christian leaders who know the truth about these things, but refuse to take a stand on them!

They would never teach a study on Luke 7:47 or on John 10:34-35 like the ones I published. If they did, they would be shunned by other Baptists who take the position that the King James Version (KJV) has no errors, which is false. The KJV is an excellent translation; however, it is limited in its accuracy in certain places; and we need to recognize that and stop pretending that a Bible version is exactly the same as the original writings. That is not true and never has been true.

I am not concerned with losing fellowship with these IFB pastors, because I already lost fellowship with most of them many years ago when I published the Kingdom Study Bible! I determined with the Lord Jesus Christ that I would follow HIM and his truth wherever it leads, and no matter whether anyone else follows me or not. That is when the Lord helped me to find the Golden Ratio design of the Bible in 2003-2004; and the rest is history.

The Apostle Paul said this:

Galatians 1:10: “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be the servant of Christ.”

If you are a Christian leader and all that you are concerned with is pleasing other men, so that they will think well of you, then you are not a servant of Christ! Determine in your soul that you will follow the Lord Jesus Christ and his Word, no matter what anyone else does! Amen.

A Bible version is exactly that: a VERSION OF the Bible in English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, whatever: it is obviously not the original writings in Hebrew and Greek. Bible versions are limited by the differences between the original Hebrew and Greek writings and whatever modern language it has been translated into.

No Bible version in languages different than Biblical Hebrew and Greek is 100% identical with the original languages! Anyone who doesn’t believe that simply does not understand the difficulties of translation; and probably, they have never taken a Greek or Hebrew language course; or they have never done any serious translation work.

Peter S Ruckman was an infamous false teacher

Decades ago, there was an infamous false teacher in the USA named Peter Ruckman, who claimed that the King James Version in English was inspired and had no errors; and he even claimed that where it differed from the original Greek, it corrected the Greek text!

Now this claim was a blatant lie; and it has done incredible division and spiritual damage to Christians everywhere! I knew many young men in the 1980s who fervently believed that the KJV had no errors; and if you didn’t believe that, then you were a heretic and going into apostasy (according to them). SAD.

If you can find the testimony of Peter Ruckman’s salvation, you should read it, because it is extremely weak! He had an experience, which led him to believe that he was saved.

But no one can be saved by “an experience” such as a vision! Only repentance and faith in the Finished Work of Christ can save a soul from their sins. His testimony of salvation demonstrated very little, if any, of that.

Galatians 5:22-24: “But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control: against such there is no Law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

However, the fruit of his own works testified against him! He railed often against other pastors who disagreed with his false claims, calling them many ungodly names like “silly asses” and more, that I will not repeat here. No true man of God would use such ungodly language!

And Ruckman also taught many other false doctrines, including several different plans of salvation for different eras of Bible history. You can find them on the internet if you wish.

The fact that Ruckman continually preached a verifiable lie as if it were the truth tells us everything that we need to know about him. Ruckman was a false prophet.

Matthew 7:15-20: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing; but inwardly they are hungry wolves. You shall know them by their fruits: do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you shall know them.”

The followers of Ruckman would often say, “Don’t study the original languages of the Bible! It will make you ‘go to seed” (or become ineffective for Christ). But that is not true!

John 8:31-32: “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed on him, “If you continue in my Word, then are you truly my disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The truth makes us free; Amen! The truth will make us more effective in our service for the Lord Jesus Christ; and that is my goal for all who read my studies. The truth will never make you “go to seed”.

Where is the Word of God?

These are some of the believers that are offended by studies such as Luke 7:47 or John 10:34-35. If you suggest that their translation has errors, even just a few, they go into a spiritual crisis and despair with questions like, “Where is the Word of God?”

The answer to that question is very simple: it is in the Received Text (Scrivener 1894 and Bomberg Massoretic Hebrew). The Bible versions (that are translated from those basic compilations of copies of the original texts) range in quality of their translation, depending on the loyalty of their translators to the Received Text!

In other words, a Bible version is the Word of God, to the extent that it says exactly what the Bible in the original languages said. If it does not, then that part of the Bible is not the Word of God: it is the word of men. It has been this way since God ceased to give us new Scripture in A.D. 90 after John completed his letter of Revelation; and the Bible Canon was closed forever. Mature, Bible-believing Christians have no problem with that statement.

The KJV is the best and most reliable translation among all Bible versions in English before the Kingdom Study Bible; however, it is not 100% perfect; and that is no different than all other Bible versions. The KJV translators did not receive a second “inspiration” from God to make a perfect translation. Most Baptists recognize that this is true. It is only the followers of the false teacher Peter S Ruckman who continue to broadcast his errors on this issue.

This is why we need pastors to become experts in the Bible; and also in the original languages of Greek (at a minimum), and Hebrew, if possible! If God has called you to preach the Gospel, then God has also called you to prepare! Find a solid, independent, Bible-believing, Fundamental Baptist Bible college; and attend for four years or more to become strongly grounded in the Word. Then, and only then, go out to pastor the people of God who don’t have time to study the Bible like you have, and share with them what you have learned. Feed the sheep of the Lord! You can only teach them if you have learned something first; and without formal training, you haven’t learned much at all.

These Bible studies that I have prepared will help you a great deal! However, there are things that only formal training can provide, such as formal study of the English language, Greek and Hebrew, speech, sermon preparation, and so on.

But if you are not able to attend a Bible college, these studies will definitely help you with Bible knowledge! God can use them in your life, if you read all of them, and follow these studies as they are published.

The Kingdom Study Bible in English and Spanish is superior than all other Bible versions

My Bible version, the Kingdom Study Bible, was originally based on the King James version, because the KJV has been studied and analyzed for over 400 years; and everyone knows where the problems with the translation are. So I made modifications to the KJV text to correct those textual problems (which are not many); and also brought the English words up to modern standards with quotation marks, and appropriate usage of semicolons, etc. On top of that, I arranged the words of the Bible according to the Golden Ratio design, which no other Bible version has.

So the Kingdom Study Bible in English (KSB) began with the very best that the Reformation Bible versions can offer, which is the King James Version: which is the gold standard of Bible versions. Then I made it even better, much better, in terms of translation quality; and I replaced the old arrangment of “chapters and verses” with the correct Golden Ratio design, which came from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself! The KSB is 100% loyal only to the 1894 Scrivener Received text and the Massoretic Hebrew text.

The Reino Estudio Biblia (REB) in Spanish is improving with each study. I cannot conclusively say that this translation is the best in all parts of the Bible, compared to other Spanish translations; however, I can say that the REB is at least as good as popular Bible versions such as Reina-Valera 1960 o 1995. I know this because most Spanish translations are very similar, except for the very poor translations, such as the New Living Translation. But in the places that I have done translation review and updates, the translation is much better: this includes most of the Gospels, the Letters to the Hebrews and Romans; and important texts in various parts of the Bible.

One thing that the REB has that the other Spanish translations do not have is the Golden Ratio design. For that reason alone, it is worth your time to download a free copy and use in your Bible study times.

Summary

Bible translators must be FAITHFUL TO GOD AND HIS WORD, or we will suffer the Judgment of God!

Revelation 22:18-19: “For I testify to every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this Book: if any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this Book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book.”

2 Timothy 3:16: “All Scripture is God-breathed; and is beneficial for doctrine, for rebuke, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be complete, and thoroughly equipped for all good work.”

How to be saved!

The Bible makes it absolutely clear that you cannot be saved by personal effort of any kind, whether you are a Roman Catholic who prays to idols of Mary; or a Muslim who blows himself up with a bomb to kill "unbelievers in Allah", or throws stones at a fictional representation of the devil, or memorizes the Quran; or a Buddhist who prays constantly to idols of Buddha; or a Hindu who prays and gives offerings to his millions of idols of false gods; or a Jehovah's Witness who thinks that they have to hand out as many pamphlets and books as possible so that they can be one of the 144,000; or a Mormon who thinks that they will become a new god with their own planet, but only if they do everything that the Mormon religion tells them to do; or a person who claims to be a Christian, but is trying to earn his salvation by doing good works: it makes no difference what kind of sinner you are, no one can be saved by doing works! Only repentance and faith in the Finished Work of Christ can save a sinner from going to Hell when they die! Amen.

Our good works are utterly worthless in the sight of God for salvation! God will never accept any of these excuses and fig leaves!

Isaiah 64:6: “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteous works are like filthy rags; and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

John 14:6: "Jesus says to him, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Only our repentance and faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the cross can save us! Amen.

Salvation of the soul cannot happen every day. I spoke with a man once who said that he received Christ as his Savior every day. But this is an error! No one can be saved every day. If you have been saved, then you have been saved forever! Otherwise, you weren’t saved at all and you are still lost and going to Hell.

No, salvation can only happen once in our lifetime when we come to the end of ourselves and realize that we am lost and undone without God, that we have sinned against the thrice-holy God of Heaven; and unless I repent and receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, then I will go to Hell.

41 years ago, I didn’t want that to happen! So then I called upon the Name of the Lord Jesus, acknowledging to Him that I was a sinner, that He is the Son of God who died on the cross to atone for my sins; and that He was buried and rose from the dead three days later, victorious over sin, death, Hell, and the grave!

When I did this, then my repentance and faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the cross was credited by God for righteousness. He declared me to be righteous in his sight: not because of anything that I have done, but because of my faith in the Finished Work of Christ; Amen!

Titus 3:5-6: “not by works of righteousness which we have done; but according to his mercy, he has saved us by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior”

AND YOU MUST DO THE SAME THING. Here is a prayer that you can use to be saved, right now:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against YOU. I am no good, and you are righteous! You are my only hope for salvation! I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, you were buried, and you rose again from the dead on the third day. I want you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Please come into my heart right now. Forgive me for all my sins, and save my soul. In the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

Versiones de la Biblia en español

En cuanto a las versiones de la Biblia en español, he visto varias de las más populares en https://www.biblegateway.com/. He comparado sus traducciones con el texto bíblico; y, francamente, la mayoría de ellos no alcanzan lo que deberían ser en términos de calidad y lealtad al Texto Recibido.

Cuando comencé a trabajar en la traducción de la Biblia, nunca esperé esto; Así que me decepcionó que incluso después de todas estas décadas de traducciones de la Biblia en español, los traductores no hayan hecho su debida diligencia y no hayan producido una traducción de calidad comparable a la versión King James. No conozco la historia completa de estas traducciones, por lo que no entiendo las razones de este fracaso. Puede que tenga algo que ver con la dificultad de crear una única traducción al español para todos los diferentes países que hablan español.

Sospecho, sin embargo, que las razones son similares a las razones de la mala calidad de las versiones de la Biblia en inglés de las que ya hablé anteriormente en este estudio. La mayoría de los editores de la Biblia son muy ecuménicos y trabajan con traductores liberales y católicos romanos; se centran únicamente en las ganancias y muestran poca preocupación por la lealtad al Texto recibido. Muchas de las traducciones son muy descuidadas y mal hechas.

De hecho, en ciertos lugares la traducción al español es tan mala que no puedo entender qué texto hebreo o griego había usado el traductor, porque no tenía ningún sentido. Faltaban palabras importantes o estaban mal traducidas. Podría ser que algunas de estas fueran palabras en español que se usan sólo en ciertos países; y nadie más sepa lo que significan. Pero si es así, ¡seguramente podrían haber encontrado una mejor manera de traducirlo!

Y cuando comparas las diversas traducciones al español, parece que la mayoría simplemente copia el texto de otras traducciones al español y hace algunos cambios menores para poder publicar una nueva versión de la Biblia.

Pero los hispanohablantes del mundo (como todos los grupos lingüísticos) merecen mucho mejor. Estoy haciendo lo que puedo para corregir esta situación con mi versión de la Biblia, el Reino Estudio Biblia (REB). Está mejorando con cada nuevo estudio bíblico, ya que hago actualizaciones cuando tenga tiempo. Me llevará varios años revisar por completo toda la traducción al español que heredé de la traducción de La Reina Valera Gómez de 2008. El hermano Gómez me dio su texto como un regalo para darme un texto básico en español con el que trabajar, lo cual aprecié mucho.

Ahora, la Sociedad Bíblica Trinitaria ha publicado una versión en español de la Biblia que puede ser mucho mejor; pero no sé nada al respecto, porque no está disponible para revisar sobre Biblegateway.com. Incluso si la traducción es mejor, no tiene la proporción áurea de la Biblia, que es tan importante como la traducción misma. Espero que la Sociedad Bíblica Trinitaria (TBS) aprendan sobre la disposición del diseño de la Proporción Áurea; y algún día comenzarán a usarlo para sus muchas buenas traducciones de la Biblia en muchos idiomas. Agradezco a TBS por su lealtad al Texto Recibido.

Malas versiones de la “Biblia”

¡La mayoría de las versiones modernas de la Biblia tienen una calidad de traducción muy pobre! Aquí hay algunos ejemplos infames (traducido del inglés; No sé si hay traducciones al español de todas estas versiones):

“Buenas noticias para el hombre moderno”

“La nueva traducción viva”

“La nueva versión internacional”

“La Biblia del Reader’s Digest”

“La Biblia australiana”

Y hay literalmente miles más en esta categoría.

Estos traductores no utilizaron un método de traducción palabra por palabra; en cambio, intentaron expresar el texto bíblico con sus propias palabras, a menudo con jerga callejera; supuestamente, esto les ayudará a llegar a personas que no quieren leer la Biblia. Pero la verdad es que estas “versiones de la Biblia” en realidad no son la Biblia en absoluto. ¡Son palabras de hombres y mujeres que no respetan la santidad de la Palabra de Dios!

Han cambiado la Palabra de Dios en palabras de hombres; ¡Y este fue un acto de infidelidad a Dios!

Jeremías 23:28b: “El que tiene mi Palabra, deja que él hable mi Palabra fielmente”.

2 Timoteo 2:1-2: “Tú pues, hijo mío, esfuérzate en la gracia que es en Cristo Jesús. Y lo que habéis oído de mí entre muchos testigos, encargadlo a hombres FIELES, quien será capaz de enseñar también a otros”.

Una de las primeras versiones de la Nueva Traducción Viviente (“La Biblia Viviente”) tradujo 1 Samuel 20:30 as “¡Hijo de p----!” ¿Te imaginas leer eso en la Santa Palabra de Dios? Es inconcebible y vil.

¡Sólo las palabras reales de Dios tienen el poder de Dios sobre ellas!

Hebreos 4:12-13: “Porque la Palabra de Dios está viva y poderosa, y más afilado que cualquier espada de dos filos; penetrante aún hasta la división del alma y el espíritu, y de las articulaciones y médula; y es un discernidor de los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón; ni hay criatura alguna que no se expone delante de los ojos de él; sino todas las cosas están desnudas y abiertas a los ojos de él a quien debemos dar cuenta”.

Por lo tanto, un traductor fiel de la Biblia debe ser diligente para comunicar con precisión las palabras reales de Dios al idioma de las personas a las que intenta llegar. No se puede sustituir “Alá” por “Dios” o “Jehová”, ¡porque “Alá” no es un Dios Triuno! “Alá” no tiene hijos; ¡por lo tanto, él no es el único Dios verdadero! Amén. ¡Sólo Jehová Dios es uno Dios en tres Personas! Una traducción de la Biblia que usa “Alá” en lugar de “Jehová” es blasfema, ¡porque has convertido al único Dios verdadero en el mismo Diablo! ¡Inaceptable!

Éxodo 3:13-15: “Y dijo Moisés a Dios, “He aquí cuando yo llegue a los hijos de Israel, y les diga, ‘El Dios de vuestros padres me ha enviado a ustedes’; si me pregunten, ‘¿Cuál es su nombre?’, ¿qué les responderé?”. Y respondió Dios a Moisés, “YO SOY QUE SOY”. Y él dijo, “Así dirás a los hijos de Israel, ‘YO SOY me ha enviado a ustedes’”. Y además dijo Dios a Moisés, “Así dirás a los hijos de Israel, ‘Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres (el Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob), me ha enviado a ustedes. Éste es mi Nombre para siempre, éste es mi memorial por todas las generaciones’”.

Una versión de la Biblia en un idioma asiático tradujo “oveja” como “puerco”, ¡porque la gente de esa zona no sabía lo que era una oveja! Nunca habían oído hablar de las ovejas. Así que ésta es una situación en la que se necesita educación para ayudar a la gente a entender qué es una oveja. ¡La respuesta no es crear herejía en la Biblia sustituyendo ovejas con “cerdos”! Un cerdo es un animal extremadamente inmundo según el Antiguo Pacto; y al leer la historia de los judíos bajo el Antiguo Pacto (especialmente la Ley de Moisés), una traducción de “cerdo” en lugar de “oveja” produce una herejía extrema (así como confusión) ¡y no una verdadera doctrina bíblica!

En 168 a. C., el rey griego Antíoco IV Epífanes entró en el templo de Jerusalén; ¡y deliberadamente sacrificó un cerdo sobre el altar de Jehová Dios para contaminarlo! Esta es una ilustración perfecta de por qué no debemos sustituir la palabra “cerdos” por “ovejas” en la Santa Palabra de Dios.

La cuestión es que la Biblia debe traducirse palabra por palabra en la mayor medida posible, excepto cuando el idioma de destino no tenga palabras con significados correspondientes.Ahí es cuando tienes que crear nuevas palabras en su idioma que se correspondan con las palabras bíblicas, especialmente cuando estás comunicando doctrina bíblica vital. Es posible que se necesiten notas adicionales en la versión bíblica para ayudar a los lectores a comprender el significado y el trasfondo bíblico.

Los jóvenes creyentes en Cristo pueden ser ofendidos.

Es cierto que los jóvenes creyentes en Cristo tienen una comprensión muy débil de la Biblia. A menudo, no entienden que las versiones de la Biblia fueron creadas por hombres y no son iguales a los escritos originales. Y no han sido capacitados en la historia de todas estas cosas (como en la universidad bíblica) para que puedan entender que incluso una versión de la Biblia que tenga problemas menores de traducción puede ser muy útil y útil. Muchas iglesias se niegan a discutir temas como Lucas 7:47 o Juan 10:34-35, porque no quieren que sus jóvenes creyentes tropiecen en su fe.

Entiendo que; sin embargo, Dios me ha llamado a comunicar la verdad de Dios “COMO ES”: no “filtrado” para que “determinadas personas” no se sientan ofendidas. Sí, existe el riesgo de que algunas personas se sientan ofendidas; Y créeme, ya conozco a muchos de ellos; ¡Y son pastores Bautistas Fundamentalistas Independientes (IFB) y líderes cristianos que saben la verdad sobre estas cosas, pero se niegan a tomar una postura al respecto!

Nunca enseñarían un estudio sobre Lucas 7:47 o sobre Juan 10:34-35 como los que publiqué. Si lo hicieran, serían rechazados por otros bautistas que adoptan la posición de que la versión King James (KJV) no tiene errores, lo cual es falso. La KJV es una excelente traducción; sin embargo, su precisión es limitada en ciertos lugares; y debemos reconocer eso y dejar de pretender que una versión de la Biblia es exactamente igual a los escritos originales. Eso no es cierto y nunca ha sido cierto.

¡No me preocupa perder el compañerismo con estos pastores de IFB, porque ya perdí el compañerismo con la mayoría de ellos hace muchos años cuando publiqué el Reino Estudio Biblia (REB)! Decidí con el Señor Jesucristo que lo seguiría a ÉL y su verdad adondequiera que me lleve, y ni importa si alguien más me sigue o no. Fue entonces cuando el Señor me ayudó a encontrar el diseño de la Proporción Áurea de la Biblia en 2003-2004; Y el resto es historia.

El apóstol Pablo dijo esto:

Gálatas 1:10: “¿Persuado ahora a los hombres, o a Dios? ¿O busco complacer a los hombres? Porque si yo todavía agradara a los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo”.

Si eres un líder cristiano y lo único que te preocupa es agradar a otros hombres, para que piensen bien de ti, ¡entonces no eres un siervo de Cristo! Determina en tu alma que tú seguirás al Señor Jesucristo y su Palabra, ¡sin importar lo que hagan los demás! Amén.

Una versión de la Biblia es exactamente eso: una VERSIÓN de la Biblia en inglés, español, francés, alemán, chino, lo que sea: obviamente, no son los escritos originales en hebreo y griego. Las versiones de la Biblia están limitadas por las diferencias entre los escritos originales hebreos y griegos y cualquier idioma moderno al que hayan sido traducidos.

¡Ninguna versión de la Biblia en idiomas diferentes al hebreo y griego bíblicos es 100% idéntica a los idiomas originales! Quien no crea eso, simplemente no comprende las dificultades de la traducción; y probablemente nunca hayan tomado un curso de idioma griego o hebreo; o ellos nunca han realizado ningún trabajo de traducción serio.

Peter S Ruckman era un falso maestro infame

Hace décadas, hubo un infame falso maestro en Estados Unidos llamado Peter Ruckman, quien afirmó que la versión King James en inglés era inspirada y no tenía errores; e incluso afirmó que cuando difería del griego original, ¡el KJV corregía el texto griego!

Ahora bien, esta afirmación era una mentira descarada; ¡Y ha causado una división increíble y daño espiritual a los cristianos en todas partes! Conocí a muchos jóvenes en la década de 1980 que creían fervientemente que la KJV no tenía errores; y si no creías eso, entonces eras un hereje y estabas entrando en apostasía (según ellos). TRISTE.

Si puedes encontrar el testimonio de la salvación de Peter Ruckman, deberías leerlo, ¡porque es extremadamente débil! Tuvo una experiencia que lo llevó a creer que era salvado.

¡Pero nadie puede salvarse mediante “una experiencia” como una visión! Sólo el arrepentimiento y la fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo pueden salvar un alma de sus pecados. Su testimonio de salvación demostró muy poco o nada de eso.

Cuando una persona realmente nace de nuevo, sus vidas cambian de las viejas costumbres corruptas del pasado:

Gálatas 5:22-24: “Pero el fruto del Espíritu Santo es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fe, mansedumbre y dominio propio: Contra tales cosas no hay ley. Y los que son de Cristo han crucificado la carne con las pasiones y concupiscencias”.

¡Sin embargo, el fruto de sus propias obras testificó contra él! Atacó a otros pastores que no estaban de acuerdo con sus falsas afirmaciones, llamándolos con muchos nombres impíos como “asnos tontos” y más, que no repetiré aquí. ¡Ningún verdadero hombre de Dios usaría un lenguaje tan impío!

Y Ruckman también enseñó muchas otras doctrinas falsas, incluidos varios planes de salvación diferentes para diferentes épocas de la historia bíblica. Puede encontrarlos en Internet si lo desea.

El hecho de que Ruckman predicara continuamente una mentira verificable como si fuera la verdad nos dice todo lo que necesitamos saber sobre él. Ruckman fue un falso profeta.

Mateo 7:15-20: “Guardaos de los falsos profetas, que vienen a ustedes vestidos de ovejas; pero por dentro son lobos rapaces. Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Se recogen uvas de los espinos, o higos de los abrojos? Así todo buen árbol da buenos frutos, pero el árbol malo da malos frutos. El árbol bueno no puede dar frutos malos, ni el árbol malo dar frutos buenos. Todo árbol que no da buen fruto es cortado y echado en el fuego. Así que, por sus frutos los conoceréis”.

Los seguidores de Ruckman solían decir: “¡No estudien los idiomas originales de la Biblia! Te hará “ir a la semilla” (o volverte ineficaz para Cristo). ¡Pero eso no es verdad!

Juan 8:31-32: “Entonces dijo Jesús a los judíos que habían creído en él, “Si ustedes permanecéis en mi Palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos; y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres”.

La verdad nos hace libres; ¡Amén! La verdad nos hará más eficaces en nuestro servicio al Señor Jesucristo; y ese es mi objetivo para todos los que leen mis estudios. La verdad nunca te hará “ir a la semilla”.

¿Dónde está la Palabra de Dios?

Estos son algunos de los creyentes que se sienten ofendidos por estudios tal como Lucas 7:47 o Juan 10:34-35. Si les sugieres que su traducción tiene errores, aunque sean unos pocos, entran en una crisis espiritual y se desesperan con preguntas como: “¿Dónde está la Palabra de Dios?”

La respuesta a esa pregunta es muy simple: está en el Texto Recibido (Scrivener 1894 y Bomberg Masoretic Hebrew). ¡Las versiones de la Biblia (que son traducidas de esas compilaciones básicas de copias de los textos originales) varían en la calidad de su traducción, dependiendo de la lealtad de sus traductores al Texto Recibido!

En otras palabras, una versión de la Biblia es la Palabra de Dios, en la medida en que dice exactamente lo que decía la Biblia en los idiomas originales. Si no es así, entonces esa parte de la Biblia no es la Palabra de Dios: es la palabra de los hombres. Ha sido así desde que Dios dejó de darnos nuevas Escrituras en el año 90 d.C. después de que Juan completó su carta de Apocalipsis; y el Canon Bíblico quedó cerrado para siempre. Los cristianos maduros que creen a la Biblia no tienen ningún problema con esa afirmación.

La KJV es la mejor y más confiable traducción entre todas las versiones de la Biblia en inglés antes del Reino Estudio Biblia (REB); sin embargo, no es 100% perfecto; y eso no es diferente a todas las demás versiones de la Biblia. Los traductores de la KJV no recibieron una “segunda inspiración” de Dios para hacer una traducción perfecta. La mayoría de los bautistas reconocen que esto es cierto. Son sólo los seguidores del falso maestro Peter S. Ruckman quienes continúan difundiendo los errores de él sobre este tema.

Por eso necesitamos que los pastores se conviertan en expertos en la Biblia; ¡Y también en los idiomas originales de griego (como mínimo) y hebreo, si es posible! Si Dios te ha llamado a predicar el Evangelio, ¡entonces Dios también te ha llamado a prepararte! Encuentre un colegio bíblico bautista sólido, independiente, Fundamentalista, y que cree la biblia; y asistir durante cuatro años o más para estar firmemente arraigado en la Palabra. Entonces, y sólo entonces, sal a pastorear al pueblo de Dios que no tiene tiempo para estudiar la Biblia como tú, y comparte con ellos lo que has aprendido. ¡Apacienta las ovejas del Señor! Sólo puedes enseñarles si has aprendido algo primero; y sin una formación formal, no has aprendido mucho.

¡Estos estudios bíblicos que he preparado te ayudarán mucho! Sin embargo, hay cosas que sólo la formación formal puede proporcionar, como el estudio formal del idioma inglés, griego y hebreo, oratoria, preparación de sermones, etc.

Pero si no puedes asistir a una universidad bíblica, ¡estos estudios definitivamente te ayudarán con el conocimiento bíblico! Dios puede usarlos en tu vida, si los lees todos y sigues estos estudios a medida que se publican.

El Reino Estudio Biblia en inglés y español es superior a todas las demás versiones de la Biblia

Mi versión de la Biblia, el Reino Estudio Biblia en Inglés, se basó originalmente en la versión King James, porque la KJV ha sido estudiada y analizada durante más de 400 años; y todo el mundo sabe dónde están los problemas con la traducción. Entonces hice modificaciones al texto de la KJV para corregir esos problemas textuales (que no son muchos); y también llevé las palabras en inglés a los estándares modernos con comillas y el uso apropiado de punto y coma, etc. Además de eso, arreglé las palabras de la Biblia según el diseño de la Proporción Áurea, que ninguna otra versión de la Biblia tiene.

Entonces, la Biblia de Estudio del Reino en inglés (KSB) comenzó con lo mejor que pueden ofrecer las versiones bíblicas de la Reforma, que es la versión King James: que es el estándar de oro de las versiones de la Biblia. Luego lo mejoré aún más, mucho mejor, en términos de calidad de traducción; y reemplacé la arreglo antigua de “capítulos y versículos” con el diseño correcto de la Proporción Áurea, ¡que vino del Señor Jesucristo mismo! El KSB es 100% leal únicamente al texto recibido (1894 Scrivener) y el texto hebreo masorético.

El Reino Estudio Biblia (REB) en español está mejorando con cada estudio. No puedo decir de manera concluyente que esta traducción sea la mejor en todas las partes de la Biblia, en comparación con otras traducciones al español; sin embargo, puedo decir que la REB es al menos tan buena como las versiones populares de la Biblia como la Reina-Valera 1960 o 1995. Lo sé porque la mayoría de las traducciones al español son muy similares, excepto las traducciones muy pobres, como la New Living Translation. Pero en los lugares donde he realizado revisiones y actualizaciones de traducción, la traducción es mucho mejor: esto incluye la mayoría de los Evangelios, las Cartas a los Hebreos y a los Romanos; y textos importantes en varias partes de la Biblia.

Una cosa que tiene la REB y que las otras traducciones al español no tienen es el diseño de Proporción Áurea. Sólo por esa razón, vale la pena dedicar tiempo a descargar una copia gratuita y utilizarla en sus tiempos de estudio bíblico.

Resumen

¡Los traductores de la Biblia deben ser FIELES A DIOS Y SU PALABRA, o sufriremos el Juicio de Dios!

La revelación 22:18-19: “Porque yo testifico a cualquiera que oye las palabras de la profecía de este Libro, si alguno añadiere a estas cosas, Dios añadirá sobre él las plagas que están escritas en este Libro. Y si alguno quitare de las palabras del Libro de esta profecía, Dios quitará su parte del Libro de la Vida, y de la santa ciudad, y de las cosas que están escritas en este Libro”.

2 Timoteo 3:16: “Toda la Escritura es dada por inspiración de Dios; y es beneficioso para la doctrina, para la reprensión, para la corrección, y para la instrucción en la rectitud; para que el hombre de Dios puede estar completo y completamente equipado para todo buen trabajo”.

¡Como Ser Salvado!

La Biblia deja absolutamente claro que no puedes ser salvado mediante esfuerzo personal de ningún tipo, ya seas un católico romano que reza a los ídolos de María; o un musulmán que se hace estallar con una bomba para matar a los "incrédulos en Alá", o arroja piedras a una representación ficticia del diablo, o memoriza el Corán; o un budista que reza constantemente a los ídolos de Buda; o un hindú que reza y da ofrendas a sus millones de ídolos de dioses falsos; o un Testigo de Jehová que piensa que tiene que repartir tantos folletos y libros como sea posible para poder ser uno de los 144.000; o un mormón que piensa que se convertirá en un nuevo dios con su propio planeta, pero sólo si hace todo lo que la religión mormona le dice que haga; o una persona que dice ser cristiano, pero está tratando de ganarse su salvación haciendo buenas obras: No importa qué clase de pecador seas, ¡nadie puede salvarse haciendo obras! ¡Sólo el arrepentimiento y la fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo pueden salvar a un pecador de ir al Infierno cuando muera! Amén.

¡Nuestras buenas obras son completamente inútiles a los ojos de Dios para salvación! ¡Dios nunca aceptará ninguna de estas excusas y hojas de higuera!

Isaías 64:6: “Pero todos somos como cosa inmunda, y todas nuestras obras de justicia son como trapos de inmundicia; y todos nos desvanecemos como una hoja, y nuestras iniquidades, como el viento, nos han llevado.”

¡Solo nuestro arrepentimiento y fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz pueden salvarnos! Amén.

Juan 14:6: "Jesús le dijo, 'Soy el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí'".

La salvación del alma no puede ocurrir todos los días. Una vez hablé con un hombre que dijo que recibía a Cristo como su Salvador todos los días. ¡Pero esto es un error! Nadie puede salvarse todos los días. ¡Si has sido salvado, entonces has sido salvado para siempre! De lo contrario, no fuiste salvado en absoluto y todavía estás perdido y yendo al infierno.

No, la salvación sólo puede ocurrir una vez en nuestras vidas cuando lleguemos al fin de nosotros mismos y damos cuenta de que estamos perdidos y deshechos sin Dios, que hemos pecado contra el tres veces santo Dios del Cielo; y a menos que me arrepienta y reciba a Jesucristo como mi Salvador personal, entonces iré al infierno.

¡Hace 41 años, no quería que eso sucediera! Entonces invoqué el Nombre del Señor Jesús, reconociéndole que era pecador, que Él es el Hijo de Dios que murió en la cruz para expiar mis pecados; ¡y que fue sepultado y resucitó de entre los muertos tres días después, victorioso sobre el pecado, la muerte, el infierno y la tumba!

Cuando hice esto, entonces mi arrepentimiento y fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo en la cruz fue acreditado por Dios por la justicia. Él me declaró justo ante sus ojos: no por nada de lo que haya hecho, sino por mi fe en la Obra terminada de Cristo; ¡Amén!

Tito 3:5-6: “no por obras de justicia cual hayamos hecho, sino según su misericordia nos ha salvado, por el lavamiento de la regeneración y de la renovación del Espíritu Santo; cual él derramó en nosotros abundantemente mediante Jesús Cristo nuestro Salvador”.

Y TÚ DEBES HACER LO MISMO. Aquí tienes una oración que puedes usar para ser salvado, ahora mismo:

“Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado contra TI. ¡No soy bueno y tú eres justo! Creo que moriste en la cruz por mis pecados, fuiste enterrado y resucitaste de entre los muertos al tercer día. Quiero que vengas a mi vida y seas mi Señor y Salvador. Por favor entra en mi corazón ahora mismo. Perdóname por todos mis pecados y salva mi alma. En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús, oro, ¡Amén!”
